Void getting exhausted and recovering twice throughout the song are a nice little touch, and it makes it look like AC is overexerting himself especially at the end while Void's trying to keep a steady pace.

Maybe it make sense considering he's right now litteraly fighting his evil self . So maybe his exhausted part was him getting overwelmed . And like the smile was like he was almost consumed but soon got backto focus yk
