Evening Paul, all the wind we've had just lately as well. Kites are Something you never see on sale in Blackpool or used for that matter. Don't know if it's a safety thing with the overhead tram cables on the prom. Great video mate, cheers.
hi Stephen Hope you’re keeping well? And yes all the wind we’ve had and there wasn’t anything when we visited this event early. Luckily tomorrow is predicted to be a little bit more windy. I felt a little sorry as we spoke to many people who come from Canada Germany and also the Netherlands and you could see the disappointment on their faces due to the wind but I think the hopeful for tomorrow and also this evening the kids will be lit up with LEDs so hopefully we may go live. And yes, Blackpool don’t really sell the kites and you would’ve thought the wood off because always windy normally here! Hope you’ve had a good day and all the best, Paul

hi Hazel, happy memories a.. it’s typical as in Blackpool most days are windy and the first day of the kite festival it’s absolutely still, hopefully the evening today will be a great show for them apparently all the lit up which should be amazing if a little bit gets up and also Saturday and Sunday is predicted to be a bit more breezy again. Hello Paul. That was interesting and I never knew they had this event up there. Some of the kites look amazing so it was a pity there was not enough wind. It is a good job they had all that entertainment on the beach for the public so at least they can browse around there and pray for wind.Well done.PS. I had a kite in my youth that was small and shaped like a diamond. Lol.
good morning Edward many thanks for your comments and yes this is the three day event and it’s totally free for anybody to attend and watch they come from all over the world. We met lovely people from Canada the Netherlands and Germany at this events. Unfortunately on day one there was no wind at all however today is a little more breezy so if people do visit this event they’ll see the amazing display in the sky and as you mentioned the entertainment is great for all the family again all the very best and take care

I went yesterday and it was pretty windy and there were so many kites it was absolutely beautiful ✨

good morning Mildred many thanks for your comment and also watching day one unfortunately there was no wind for the kites to get up. However the evening event was fantastic with the entertainment really good show. I believe day two they had win and it was a lovely day yesterday so I would imagine all these kites ranging from small to large and all characters would’ve been able to get up in there and put an amazing display on for everybody. In Blackpool today, it’s raining and pretty miserable to be fair. Glad you have some sun in Germany today. Enjoy the rest of your day all the very best and take care Paul
I think you'll find its on St. Anne's beach you can't even go on Lytham beach!!
