As a metal head myself, I concur with your statement, sir. Etta James is no doubt looking down with a smile on her face. Being a lover of music, Lucy has a very rare and beautiful gift. Her rendition of memories (from the musical Cats) is what got my attention to her music. Now, having said that and being metal heads, have you checked out Dan Vasc, Jonathan Young, or Tommy Johansson? All 3 of them are independent metal artists. I'm approaching 80 years old and have heard this song many times in my life, but when I heard this, I was mesmerized. I have not heard a better cover of 'At Last' in my lifetime. Lucy Thomas holds her own with Etta James!

It’s the best cover I’ve ever heard of this song. I love Angelina Jordan, but this is actually better than her. I don’t never say that very often but it is it’s anything better than Johanna, but this girl, singing better smoother, richer, fuller with emotion and feeling voice is like a liquid gold
Lucy is pure perfection. I love the smoothness she sings this with.
There are a few songs that I feel can never be improved upon from their original versions and this has long been one of them. However, for me this epic song now belongs to Lucy. There is no more captivating, soulful or beautiful rendition of this song than that presented here. I have long appreciated Lucy's music but now she has proven to have the talent and passion to take an iconic song and own it herself. Lucy's gift is generational and I am so thankful to have lived during the time when that gift was shared.

"At Last" there's another wonderful song, performed by the beautiful British Star Lucy Thomas 💛⭐👸⭐💛 !!! It's a very different style than she usually sings, the old American style of the Hollywood movies from the 40's, but her incredible voice can sing everything and so well ❤️!!

I have great respect for Jeezus, who said "Judge Not That Ye Be Not Judged" and "Let He Who Is Without Sin Cast The First Stone." I'm catholic, and was an altar boy in my youth. Beautiful things are God's way of speaking to us. Lucy Thomas is definitely God's instrument. But Jeezus was also very human. In fact, he was a bit of a drama queen. One day he was tired and hungry after a day out and about preaching with his followers. As he returned to the place where they were lodging, he saw a fig tree at some distance. He went to the tree to feed himself on it's figs, only to discover that it was bereft of fruit because (and this is a significant detail) it was not the season for figs. He then cursed the tree, that it should never bear any fruit henceforth, because it had not had fruit for him when he wanted. The next day as he and his followers went forth from their lodging, they saw that the tree had withered right to its roots. They were astounded and marveled at this miracle, the result of Jeezus's curse. But it has always seemed to me that 1) Jeezus, being the miraculous son of God, should have known the tree would be barren, and, as someone familiar with the area, that it was not yet the season for figs, and 2) Jeezus threw what we might call a hissy fit, or a tantrum. Perfection. It can't be done any better. It's not just Lucy's perfect singing here, she lives the part, she breathes the part, she believes every word she sings, she's the perfect saleswoman. I am completely sold.
I don't buy words like "perfection" or "breaths the part" easily and even though I am familiar With Lucy's singing those are still tall words. And every single one spot on. This is perfection. Looking at her face while she more than sung the song, but acted it, was inspiring. Your comments nailed it.

When I saw the song title, I thought, wow, this will be a challenge doing justice to a song like that. A song so deeply associated with Etta James. Lucy pulled it off. Etta would approve.

Although after hearing this version I'm starting to rethink my choice of who "owns" the song (except of course for the real original).

My parents' song, both WWII veterans, Daddy a US Sailor and mother an English RAF WAAF Corporal, who met at a dance in Cardiff, Wales in 1945 before my father took part, as the pilot of USS LST 370, in the invasion of Normandy Beach. Every time I hear this song it brings tears to my eyes and Lucy sings it so very beautifully!

I keep coming back here and listen in disbelieve at this incredible talent performing one of my all time favorite . To say she "knocked it out of the ballpark" is a huge understatement. I would not even call this a "cover" as her rendition stands par to any original I have heard. This recording along with her others makes me wonder if there is a limit in her singing ability.
I have classical music training. Your voice, poise and interpretation is perfection.
I do not know why a Las Vegas producer will not be interested to make a tone of money and offer such a beautiful gift to the humanity. The true art is when during listening of your interpretation one forgets about the worries of the world, even of the war and very personal and painful problems. All the suffering is gone and what remains it is an unexplained silence and a huge Love! I am very glad in my life time, God allowed me to hear you will all the tranquility and emotions of your Angelic voice.

Wow I have heard this song many many times in my 80 years life but NEVER have I heard sung so well. I could listen to her all day.
Lucy has always always been amazing and talented. I have got to say that with this years releases she has seriously moved up to another level. There are no words (at least in the English language) that can describe just how insanely talented this young lady is. I think she has matured and learned restraint and control, which she now masters. It isn't necessary to belt at every opportunity in a song.
