I have always enjoyed your program. i have never comments but you have inspired me today. My hubby and I have been shaping up the yard getting ready for Hurricane Delta, we live in northern Louisiana, and are expecting high winds. We just finished yesterday with getting everything cleaned up from Hurricane Laura. Having said all of that I feel so blessed. I have a roof over my head and food on my table. God is good.
Love that grandchild Quilt, just stunning. Agreed, shopping and Any thrill involved with It are long over for me. Your range of taste In projects is wide And varied. No Wonder you stay Inspired. Stay safe and cozy In your sheltering.
I've been trusted to repair and quilt a quilt for a friend. Well a blogger friend for 20 years, never met friend. Her mom had sewed it when she was very young.. Her and dad sat on the floor and tagged it. She has her first grandbaby coming and wants to gift it. I'm excited yet scared to do it just right. I so enjoy listening to your calm days. Summer has ended here, fall is sprouting in the trees. I miss my girls in Az. But am so happy to be back home in Michigan. I also am on baby watch, will go to Texas to help with my 2 year old granddaughter. Enjoy your week, I'll also be starting on my new adventure of the hexies. Enjoy life
I had my knee replaced two weeks ago and have so enjoyed stitching while I listen to you. I’m from NC and the temp is in low 80’s and sitting outside now is so pleasant. I’m not a healthy eater like you, I had a Pop Tart for breakfast and it was good. I’m no more adjusted to this new way of life than I was in March. Hubby and I have been married 52 years and our highlight of the day is happy hour on the porch. Wishing your daughter in law a smooth delivery. Love you Anna.
This is Thursday evening and I just sat down to watch you ! I have to say that I honestly find myself answering you when you are talking so I guess covid has one silver lining which is it introduce me to floss tube which in turn introduced me to you! Please keep sharing your love of quilting and cross stitch with us you bring me light hearted laughter and friendship to an otherwise worrisome time thank you sincerely Pat McEvers
Hello Anna! Today is beautiful here in central Michigan. The sun is peeking through the clouds and we have been having showers here and there. I have my oatmeal with raisins and lately, I have been adding peanut butter toast. I've lost about forty pounds during this pandemic. I am knitting a pair of socks for my son's birthday in October while I watch you today. (my quilting is on the back burner) I decided to use this time to grow older and thinner, rather than older than heavier. I do feel so much better and have so much more energy. I guess everyone needs to find their silver lining during this sad time in our history. Hope all is well.
This was just what I needed this morning. In June I retired after 33 years of teaching so that I could help my aging parents. COVID has made the start of my retirement feel very isolated. But I was able to take a quilt class at a local shop to learn how to use the Creative Grid pineapple ruler. This is one of the best specialty rulers I've ever purchased. I made a 4 block table topper that is layered and ready to quilt. (I'm working up the courage.) I am also in the home stretch of "Around the Year - September" by Sew Cherished. My goal is to keep up with this particular block of the month club. Never in the history of my quilting has that happened before. 😬 While watching / listening to your video I cleaned up my kitchen, got lessons ready for a first grader distance learner who spends each day with us, and made some banana bread. It was so lovely to listen to you and not feel so alone. Thank you for your videos. I'll bet I'm not the only one who is enjoying them in a therapeutic way, especially during COVID. 💞
yes, I think we all need a bit of connection with each other and it is like Carol in the comments above...the first year of retirement is an adjustment and that is even without COVID...look at you learning new stuff!
Thanks for the lovely visit. I was watching while I was tidying up my sewing room in preparation for quilting two of my quilt tops. One on my Tin Lizzie and one on my HQSweet Sixteen. It will be nice to have them off my list. Chat later.
I'm working on a little mini quilt for a friend who just gifted me a beautiful vintage treadle Singer 110! I ordered a new leather belt and a few minor parts. I've already sewn a few stitches on it and it is beautiful! I plan on doing the sewing on that machine for her little quilt as well. I hope that makes it extra special for her! The quilt is from Kathleen Tracy's book, "A Prairie Journey." It is called, "Window Box." Our weather here in Utah is beautiful, sunny and warm! I love your little virtual visits! Thank you for all you do for us Covid Quilters!
My hubby made me some oatmeal with raisins, and now I'm sitting crocheting while watching you. It's a day of recuperation after a long week of in-person teaching.
I am flipping thru some magazines while listening to you this evening. This morning I started my day with toast and yogurt as I do every day. My gardener husband picked green peppers and I spent parts of the day chopping those then I freeze them on a cookie sheet then scoop up a cup and put them in food saver bags. Today I did 12 cups. Made cornbread and beans for dinner. I have a small group of quilt friends I think we started years ago on a fons and porter community group that slowly transitioned from one area to another. So now it’s 6 of us that greet each other every day online. What a close group we have become and never have met in person.
Anna I just love the quilt for your new grandbaby. We are expecting our first grandbaby, a boy, in December and his room will be woodland theme. I am going to try to find that fabric. Wish me luck. Prayers for the new baby and all the family during this time. Enjoy and can't wait to hear that he has arrived.
@Donna Good - we are expecting a grandson in early December too! They have chosen elephants as the theme. Our daughter-in-law, also a quilter, made Elephant Abstractions Quilt by Elizabeth Hartman - paper piecing...it's beautiful! I just finished a cute modern quilt with a baby elephant and hearts in the center of the quilt.
Hi Teri here. In Michigan it’s cold. Was in the 40’s this morning. Furnace been on. Had coffee with creamer 3 cups along with a fruit smoothie. I sat and did devotions, while cross stitching. Now watching you I’m knitting a gift for my daughter, fingerless mitts. But watching you makes me want to get my hedges out. Thanks again for these videos.
Anna dear Anna you are NEVER boring. I had a biscuit and am working on my hexie quilt. Today it’s in the 50’s and windy and now raining. But I love fall here in Wisconsin. I can’t wait til you announce the baby’s arrival and hope all goes well. Hugs to all and glad you are staying safe.
I'm in Cleveland Ohio and we have been having beautiful fall weather. October is getting cooler with temps in the 50's and some rain but today is sunny and dry! Breakfast was yogurt + berries + crushed shredded wheat and some almonds. I've been having that every morning for years and I still love it, haha. As I'm listening to you I'm working on hand quilting a hand pieced low volume scrappy quilt. I did my first hand quilting during the beginning of covid and I found that I love it. It is so satisfying to me and having you to keep me company while I do it makes it even better. Reading David Chang's Eat a Peach. Lots of love to you!
Don’t call it the COVID world, let’s call it getting back to basics, getting to know oneself and cultivating friendships (RUclips) all over the country. You’re a lovely friend🙂.
"Cherished old friend" is the perfect word to describe how I feel about Anna - first on Quilt Roadies, now on Stitch Roadies, too. And as someone in the same "quarantine with a few exceptions here and there" status as Anna and many others here, it sure feels like a life in community.
I was stitching on my first cross stitch pattern while watching your wonderful video in the Bee Hive. Our pomogranite orchard has abundant fruit, ripe for the picking, so I had a bowl full of seeds for breakfast.
Hi Anna! I just get so excited when I see you have a new video and have come to stitch and visit with me! My husband and I are almost 100% quarantined and have been since March 13! I’m so thankful for my crafts and friendships like yours! Today I’m making a clothesline basket for our daughter who will be moving into a brand new home, hopefully, in December! I live in Missouri and we are having perfect fall weather right now. Lows in the 50s and highs upper 60s-lower 70s. It’s a beautiful sunny day today! I have been worrying about you sister as we hear Napa is getting hit by fires! Please tell us she is safe. Best wishes on that new grand baby! What a wonderful blessing grandchildren are! Well back to the sewing machine! Happy stitching!💕
I am not working on anything while I watch. I am laying in bed. You are helping me wake up. And then I go take a shower and keep watching while I have my protein shake for breakfast. Then I go to work. It has been dreary this week. Last week was beautiful, but it’s cold and wet here. Fall is definitely here.
Loved visiting with you today, Anna. While watching you I was drinking morning coffee. Our weather was close to 90s last week and this week has been in the 50s. Crazy, and hard on the old body. We are deep into harvesting our crops in the midwest, super hard after the derecho toppled and downed the corn. Suffering from headaches and allergies due to black mold dust from the crops this year, it truly is a strange year. Im currently stitching on Snow Village and doing the sew along with FQS. I don't have any stitch friends so come here for support. I don't remember the last book I read, I mostly read fiction to get away and they must be uplifting and happy ending, usually only get to read while on a trip, which we all know isn't happening this year. I have 2 new grandchildren on the way due in the spring. I will be praying for the safe arrival of yours! Thanks for the chat!
wow...I hadn't even thought about the allergies caused by the dust after the storm. We had the sweetest corn on the cob the other day and both said...wonder why it is hard to find corn? DUH you can be my stitch friend!
Anna- I love hanging with you in the bee hive. Today watching you I had a packaged danish for breakfast and a part of a soft smushy apple. Not an ideal breakfast. I am hanging in a hotel room. I was on call for the Operating room yesterday on Sunday. I am going into work late today, Monday. I am working on my Ann Roberts Sampler. Your quilts are great. Oh, and by the way- your Sue Spargo squash’s are great. I haven’t done any of her thing’s but love all the great embroidery stitches she teaches....so... I may be rabbit trailing to do that. I had a fellow quilting friend that past last year unexpectedly that loved Sue Spargo. She did her crazy bird quilt. It was amazing. She shared her extra bird kits she had made up after finishing her quilt with a wool group that we belonged to together. Every time I hear or see Sue Spargo work I think of my friend.
I just had a creamy cup of coffee this morning. ☕ I have been working on "Gossip in the Garden " quilt by Hatched and Patched. It's such a cute pattern. I'm actually working on the hexie blocks today while watching you. Enjoying it so much! Both things! I have been collecting little pieces of fabric throughout my quilty room. The weather has been high 50's and goes up to about 75 or 76. Enjoying the low temps right now. I am reading The Red Queen by Phillipa Gregory. I love the baby quilt you are binding for your little one. Well, I had better go so I can get back to my piercing. Love ya, Anna. Have a wonderful day!!🏵🌻🙋♀️
This was fun! Let's see if I can remember all the questions you asked -- I had Peanut Butter toast and coffee for breakfast! I live in Idaho and it is quite chilly out even though the sun is shining right now! And I am working on on some Christmas projects while I am listening to you. I loved those ugly sweater ornaments!!! I am going to have to see if I can find those!! Thank you for your fun videos and sharing your projects and beautiful quilts!!
I enjoyed sharing time with you while stitching on Squash Squad Block 2. day 2. Sew much enjoyment! Talk about small towns, my daughter lives in a small town in Utah, the population is now up to 133. I like the stack of jars for beads and small buttons. I finally put a small sticky star like we use to get on our papers in school on the top because I kept opening up the wrong end. Time: when we worked we were always on a schedule. When I retired I found I actually had to schedule in sewing time otherwise I didn’t get to sew it was even more so after my dear hubby retired. Balance in our days. I really like your quilt with the owl on it, just gorgeous! Your Bees hive is a dream. What a fantastic sewing area, the lighting is so good. I have had 2 quilters garage sales and participated in quilters garage sales held at a church. I have donated fabric to various charity groups including the Historical society which makes hand made quilts as a fund raiser. I still have wayyyyy too much fabric. My children live out west and I am in Ohio so I’m not sure how much they would want. I, like you, am looking forward to going to Sue Spargo’s, especially since I live in the same county as Sue. Nothing exciting for breakfast, decaf tea and frozen waffles.
I am sewing on my grandson's Christmas quilt. While I listen to you .it is all about car's hope he will enjoy it . Now that he has turned 13 . Egg whites as usual . Hopefully go back to work soon if schools open up . You cheer me up as dose kate ''from last Homley house.
I love your vids I dug out all of my UFOs and fabric stash during quarantine and I've been cutting out lots of quilting blocks useing my accuquilt dies and useing 12x12 boxes I pk them up for this winter to sew on when the weather is cold and dark. I was going to drive out from Michigan to Portland this fall and visit my son but that wasn't possible this time so maybe in the spring. Now that the weather is a little cooler its soup season! Sunday my daughter and I went to a local farm for some pumpkins and gourds and I brought a butternut squash corn and leeks so I made a ham, squash, corn and leek chowder yum!
@@quiltroadies1695 thanks! I've been out to visit my son twice and went to haystack beach and saw the Pacific for the first time! I really want to drive across country and see the mountains and some national parks along the way.
My Mama always told me to never be envious of anyone, but I must say, I sure do envy the people who are receiving your beautiful quilts. I’m sure they will treasure them forever.
Working on a snowflake table runner for Christmas decorating in the house. Breakfast - coffee! We ran some errands today to the post office and Walmart after an appointment with hubby's doc. Weather is cool and dreary. Trees are starting to change color a little bit - another week or two and it will be beautiful. Going to enjoy that color change because we spent the last 20 years in Texas where trees don't change much. We are in northern Illinois now. Enjoying your video's!
Hi Anna I enjoyed our visit today.I live in the lakes region of New Hampshire . The trees are are lovely and the weather has been in the mid seventies .Just delightful I had my usual breakfast of oatmeal with vanilla ice cream and blueberries on top!! Don't knock it till you try it. Very yummy. I just listened to woof by Spencer Quinn. The main character is the dog and he tells the story.. I like to listen to books while I sew. Making Halloween placemats for my family I just finished Half Moon Bay by Jonathan and Jesse Kellerman.and I enjoyed it..I usually have two books going at once.. Best wishes for the new grandson. Take care and keep stitching.
It's 12:44 pm in Tucson Az and it's 99 degrees. I made a ham, potatoes, and egg and cheese scramble. Of course topped with salsa. I've been organizing my craft room and feeling good on my progress then my daughter texted and said she needed more scrub hats. I pulled out fabric and had her choose 5 fabrics . So much for organizing . Sewing for her today. Have a blessed day.
Mending tonight as I watch your video, nothing for breakfast as I always fast until 1:00 p.m., and the weather is cooler here in Montana~ no wildfire smoke so I am enjoying being outside. I have maybe one more week left to enjoy my garden until the freeze expected next week hits. Cucumbers were my best producers. Being an introvert, i love the isolation we have been experiencing because of social distancing, but I feel deep compassion for how the extroverts have not felt the same. My home stays filled with soft music to help keep stress lowered, and I have really been focusing on my peace of mind and physical well being. I wish you peace~
Hello Anna! It was nice to visit with you while I was binding a fall table runner that I am making a friend. This morning I met some friends for breakfast and had a potato and egg and bacon and egg taco for breakfast. There are 5 of us and have been friends for 30 years. Had not gotten together since last February and it was so good to see them all! I know what you mean about needing small talk. Have a zoom meeting with my quilt bee in the morning. We call ourselves the “We Bee Happy Quilter’s”. My go to quilt shop is Mesquite Bean in San Antonio.
Anna, The owl quilt is amazing!!!!! I can imagine your beautiful soon-to-be grandson cuddled up in it for years to come. -Love spending time with you. I am working on Brenda Gervais' Heart of the Home Sampler. It has so many pretty colors.
Anna, You are neighbor and friend to all of us. I ordered a hexagon template to try what you're doing. Looking forward to making it into a quilt. Tfs. All of us get lonely with covid for sure.
Hearing you talk about the gift of covid made me realize that in a way it is a gift. It's making the world slow down. Taking a look that some things that we were running around about were just not that important. In an old term. Making us stop and smell the roses 🌹
I know exactly what you mean by being land locked and trying to be prepared for a self sustainable life style in case of emergency. When I lived in Alaska I always kept an overstocked pantry and freezer. There were times when our grocery store shelves were bare, particularly right after 911 when there were no ships, flights, or trucks making trips north. Breakfast today was a toasted cinnamon raisin bagel with peanut butter and an ice cold glass of milk. And of course my hot black coffee. I'm reading a couple of books off and on but am having a very hard time concentrating on them. I'm also not working on any of my quilts in progress as I seem to have lost my quilting mojo for the time being. Thanks for the extra long vlog today. It was quite a pleasure to share the time with you.
Cinnamon raisin bagels with peanut butter, a glass of milk, and a cup of coffee...my favourite breakfast for the weekend! Great taste in breakfast foods, Marna!
I am sitting in my car listening to you before I start my day. At home I am working on fall table runners. It is a beautiful crisp fall morning in Illinois
Working on the Edyta Sitar Mystery Quilt as I listen. Pretty excited as I’m machine buttonholing the vine and leaves down on the border so getting close to finished. Had porridge this morning for breakfast with blueberries and strawberries. Hubby cooks the porridge the old fashioned slow way and it’s creamy and extra yummy. I enjoy my ‘chats’ with you. We are keeping mostly in our bubble during Covid even though our state Queensland in Australia ( the land size of Texas) has no Covid community spread and we only have a couple of overseas returnees with Covid but they are in mandatory quarantine. Happy sewing, Patricia.
Its lovely stitching with you. I am making a new xmas tree skirt for my daughter and her husband and soon to be new house...lots of fun as always...otherwise I’m stitching on the long dog sampler pandemic....hope the new grandbaby has made an appearance..stay well and congrats to your family ...as always i feel like we’re talking in the same room...thanks for the company..happy binding...Cheers!
I am knitting a prayer shawl while listening to you, Anna...always enjoy seeing your projects! We have very cool weather here in Iowa...we are now in our fifth wheel and heading to winter in Yuma! Will listen to you there also! 😎😷🥰🤗 I am anxious to start EPP in AZ! ❤️
Hi Anna, I enjoyed spending time with you in the Bee Hive. I recently got my Primitive Gatherings Wool Box, so I plan to stitch one of the kits in it. I love to do wool applique too. i've been cross stitching alot too-working on Coming To America kit by Brenda Gervais. Loved seeing all of your quilts-so pretty! Happy Stitching! Pam Miller
So Anna. Nice to visit with you again. It’s getting cooler here in Ontario Canada. Our trees are all turned pretty much and this is my favourite time of year. I really look forward to winter every year to have lots of time in my sewing room. I have an egg and a piece of my sourdough bread every morning. I’ve made sourdough for about 10 years. I have the skin manifestation of celiac called Herpetiformus dermititis. I break out in itchy scabby things like chicken pox when I eat gluten. I discovered years ago that I can tolerate the old forms of gluten in spelt, kamut, Einkorn and red fife IF I sourdough it for 48 hours. So I haven’t had to eat cardboard bread in 10 years! 😻. I’m working on a couple of quilts, a couple of cross stitch projects, knitting mitts for both my girls for their stockings and making doll quilts for my granddaughters. Not bored!
I had my French vanilla creamed Earl Grey tea with a blueberry scone this morning while seaming up a pair of knitted suede baby UGG booties and watching along with you. Then I brought you into the sewing room to do the final quilting on the baby quilt, that goes with the booties for a co-worker, who is having her first baby. Then I added the book you mentioned in my wishlist on Audible and bought the Squash Squad kit on Sue Spargo’s site. I am now broke and must stay home and off the internet, and sew, stitch and embellish another WIP! Lol
You just inspire me to keep pleasant thoughts and do some crafts because that what makes me happy! I pray your grandchild arrives soon! I envy you, my grands are all grown up! But we have such precious memories! Thank you for letting us come into your life!
You are my favorite to stitch with. I usually do cross stitch when I watch both of your videos. I am too new a quilter to be able to watch you tube and figure things out. As for breakfast, I had seafood salad....ha, ha. My brother had cataract surgery this morning at 6:40am an hour from here, so I was up at 4:30am to go get him and bring him. I thought I would stitch in the car waiting for him (because you couldn't go in) but ended up reading WHere the Crawdads Sing, and never got to stitching. Once I got home, I was hungry and hit the seafood salad. I celebrate my birthday as long as I can get away with it, though it is hard because it is after Thanksgiving and close to Christmas....so I usually have to slide into Christmas. I too wish you were closer and we could sit in our chairs and chat while stitching. I do want to start doing a hexi quilt. I started my second quilt this weekend, and look forward to working on it this afternoon if I am not too tired. I am doing Tea Time. My first quilt was a small panel with 144 pieces (tons of half square triangles and quite a challenge for a beginner, so I decided to try something a little easier for my second quilt. I hope to practice machine quilting on some muslin and machine quilt this one. I did hand quilt my first and I enjoyed it, but want to try my hand at Machine quilting. Welll, time to get back to my stitching. Great seeing you Anna. Love watching you.
You crack me up..... I enjoyed your chatting..... I look at my stash , and tops - give myself a really stern talking to that I need to use this up, before I go buy more material, then I watch a quilting channel and go I love that fabric, I need that fabric.....then I have to spend a day rearranging my whole storage system to fit it in.....so go round in circles and don't achieve much.
Hi Anna! The weather here in southern New Jersey is a mixture of summer not wanting to end and fall trying to kick summer out lol! I’m actually looking forward to the cooler weather. I am working on Christmas projects from Buttermilk Basin for my family and friends. I work full time for a cardiology practice, so things are a little stressful right now, but coming home and stitching while my husband watches tv is very relaxing. I’ve learned so many things from watching you. I look forward to hanging out with you!
I'm making a border for my basket scrappy quilt. I love to use my scraps. I live in the Sierra, California. I'm from Southamerica leaving most of my life here. Love sewing. Love your channel.
Wow wow wow ...beautiful quilts Anna ..you sure are getting through that pile...love love the black and white one. My thoughts are with you for the arrival of your precious grandchild. Love you too Anna ..and G 😘🥰💐
Not working on anything while I watch you today. No current hand sewing--that's gotta change! I love wool applique and I want a new wool project. Today I made a "take out" pillow--just a pillow that I will leave in the car so that when we go for take out meals (we aren't eating in restaurants, I don't care what the governor says!!!), I can set the take out bags/boxes on the pillow on my lap and don't have to feel the heat. I used four flying geese blocks I had left from a quilt I designed and made "Geese Gone Wild" I called it. I also made a block for my bee group's October queen. I had the fabrics necessary and got it done and even mailed to day when I went out to get a long overdue haircut! Weather was fabulous here in Vermont today, 70's and so sunny. The colors of the leaves are changing and soon will be peak. This is early for Vermont to peak--could be due to drought conditions????
I am working on quilted table toppers from scraps. Just home from work. I am an RN working outpatient GI doing procedures. I always need to sew a little everyday in order to clear the mind after work. Here in SE Wisconsin fall has arrived with wide spread frost happening this week. I don't have a big breakfast, just a power bar and out the door I go. I so enjoy your sewing chats in the bee hive!!
Hi there ! It's a grey day today in the UK. Good sewing day. Had scrambled eggs and coffee, then headed upstairs to our art/craft room to put binding on queen size quilt. Pretty butterflies, soft peach, pink and apricot, hand quilted with cotton perle. I am trying to get my tops sandwiched. I tell myself to finish two before starting another one so I catch up, haha. Just made two mini quilts using the snowball corners left over from cats ears. Not perfect but jazzy Kaffe Fasset hst s. Feel good using up some scraps while trying to stay home. Evenings spent cross stitching a Thanksgiving sampler. I feel we must be grateful for what we do have, although some shortages in the shops. We can recharge our batteries, slow down, and organise our projects. Prayers for you all and especially your new baby, so exciting ! Oh and love that the dragon has pinched St. Georges helmet !!! Love Julia.
I love black, red and white baby quilts. It helps with their eye development. I was thinking about Thanksgiving while trying to go to sleep last night. We usually have 20-25 family members. Don't know how that is going to go this year. Hope the baby comes soon, but not till you are in Portland. It's in the high 70s low 80s here in San Antonio. Perfect weather.
HI Anna, we live in Southern Ontario Canada so the weather is typical fall. The leaves are turning the most beautiful colours right now and the weather is cool and crisp. Jacket weather is here. I have been listening to books on tape from Audible and our local library, working my way through Louise Penny"s Inspector Gamache mystery series. I have been doing a change of diet and not eating any flour or sugar (artificial sweeteners too). So I have been looking for new recipes and finding new things to cook. It have been a month and I have lost 16 pounds. It feels good. Love sitting and stitching with you. Hope all goes well with your new grandbaby.
It’s a beautiful day in SE Idaho. I’m busy stuffing charts for a big Hoffman reorder. I’m glad you gave two videos up for entertainment while I’m working.
Hi Anna, I usually watch your videos in the evening when the day is over. Not a big breakfast eater usually just coffee and a couple pieces of toast. I just finished a Halloween quilt and now working on in the hoop Christmas ornaments on my embroidery machine. Live in New Jersey we will be having some fall like temps this weekend. Good luck to you and your family with the new arrival. Thanks again for your great videos.
Hi Anna, I am currently quilting a quilt I designed. It’s funny, I began with a dot to dot design in the center. I am now ripping out those stitches in the center. On occasion, I have found that once I get going with a design I suddenly stumble onto a design I like better and doesn’t always combine well with the first design. I’ve never heard of other people actually ripping out designs, but I have done this a few times. One time I was 3/4 done quilting a twins size quilt, ripped it all out an began again, loving the new completed design and not regretting the time I spent on the project. I enjoy the stitching you do. Love the quilts. Prayers for arrival of baby 🥰 Have a good day. Chris-Raleigh NC
Good afternoon my friend. Yes, I consider you a friend. I cannot believe how much we have in common, including having lived in or near the same towns. They were at different times and listening to you has stirred memories of forgotten times. Here on Whidbey Island in Washington it is a wonderful, warm sunny day. We are suppose to have a few more like this. Have to take advantage of it to get some things squared away outside and in the garage. My furnace went out about a month ago and my new one will be installed this week, so need to make access easier for them. Have been without heat long enough. Just thankful the weather hadn't turned too cold yet. Should be finished replacing things now as every system is new now. (Hot water tank, dishwasher, range, etc etc) Yes, over the past year, since my hubby passed away, everything went kaput. (Ouch, sure cut into my quilt/stitching money). So now on to finishing my quilt "shed". I actually prepped the applique for a pumpkin mug rug while watching you today. Now to the machine tonight so I can send a package off to my cousin who is in assisted living. I feel so bad for her since covid hit. No one can have any visitors. We talk often but just not the same as seeing each other in person. So a "care package" helps lift her spirits a bit. Time for a new quilt for her as well. Just received the specialty beads to make a weighted quilt for my autistic grandson. So that one will take priority over others. Am wanting to make an applique one that is interactive for him. My breakfast is so boring, lime yogurt every day. On that note, am going to say bye for now. Until next time, happy stitching. Anxious for baby news. The quilt is fabulous. It will be well loved.
I am sitting in bed this morning crocheting and chatting with you and drinking a cup of coffee. No breakfast yet. It's just going on 445 a.m. I crochet or knit one hour each morning before I start my day. I just finished off a scarf for my sweet granddaughter for Christmas, and I'm starting an afghan for me in shades of black, turquoise, and a multi color Southwest skein. It is cooling off here in the southern part of New Mexico now. 90s during the day and 50s at night. Today, I'm finishing up a quilt on the longarm and then I'm going to make some project bags and zipper pouches. I sure agree with you on virtual friends becoming so important. I've tried to keep up with real life friends, but the longer we are under quarantine here, the harder that becomes. It's been interesting to see who your true friends are, who keeps up the friendship and makes the effort to respond to you. Even though we live in the same town, it's like having long distance friends. I am reading The Lying Game by Ruth Ware. I am finding it hard to keep my interest in it. I'm only on page 95 and have figured out the mystery, so that sort of ruins it for me. I like to try to guess the ending and be completely surprised and delighted when I'm wrong. Lol. Have a great stitchy day.
I agree about the friendships...I guess some weren't as important as I thought, lol...being in the same town doesn't mean it doesn't take effort to extend ones self...and I am at fault for the same thing. I guess the pandemic really clarified how my time was being used. I have never been to New Mexico but it has long been on my list!
@@quiltroadies1695 Yes, every relationship takes time, effort, and caring. I value those friends who have kept me close to their hearts and me to them. The others I've just let go. Hopefully they will find a way back, but if not, I hope they find others to make good friends with. Life is a big cycle. New Mexico is just beautiful. I live in the South part which is desert and wild. We've only had a little rain this year, so we are in an extreme fire danger warning now. Happy quilting.
I'm reading Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker by Jennifer Chiaverini very good. Stated The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett..very good also..thought provoking. Thanks for the visit, always enjoy them. Praying for safe travels and a healthy baby..soon.😊❤
Hey Anna. I loved that book as well and have moved on to Utopia Avenue. It’s funny you mentioned baking, I jumped on that band wagon early on of the pandemic and I have kept the pies and cakes coming. Today’s indulgence was a breakfast of Pumpkin Bars with Cream Cheese icing. A minor league sugar coma fugue state followed, but worth the price. I need to work on a Christmas quilt that is having problems and needs attention, but I have to work up to that task. Also, I am in the midst of planning our first camping trip of the year.
Hi Anna, it’s so good to see you again. My hubby made me scrambled eggs w/cheese & sausage this morning. My sister called me to update me on a fall she had yesterday. She’s quite sore today. It is Taco Tuesday, so I will be having Mexican food tonight (my favorite)! I’ve been working on a SAL today from Linen & Threads - the September part. I should be able to finish September by tomorrow night. Whew! I cut it close on that one. Lol It’s always a joy to watch your RUclips videos. I love them! Have a good week! 😍
Howdy. So nice to be stitching with you, I imagine that I am sitting on your corner chair visiting and stitching. I am working on the "Scarecrow Hat" the chart is in the October 2020 Just CrossStitch magazine on 28 count linen. First time ever song 28 and, yep, had to purchase Brightech light. It is almost 11p.m and here in Northern California, Vacaville, it is so smokey out but the moon is a beautiful bright reddish orange. Sadly I didnt eat breakfast but drank almost a full pot of coffee. Too many Zoom meetings. I am not a big reader, can't remember last book I read. Well thank you for the visit. Good night.
I wondered out to the last remains of my garden and picked probably the last tomatoes for the season so decided on bacon, tomato and egg on sourdough for breakfast. We had a cool front move through so it is starting to feel more like fall. It Really makes me want to jump in the camper and head out but.... I think I keep starting new projects to make sure I keep busy. I have noticed when I’m not busy, it is easy to start worrying and I feel the blues trying to creep in. I have a niece getting married later this fall so my goal for today was to get started on quilting her top. I listen to audio books while quilting and just started “Crooked River” by Douglas Preston/Lincoln Child. (Bless you) I am putting the binding on a Halloween wool project while watching you stitch. I definitely have squirrel syndrome and I have a lot of stuff since I think I need to try to do all the things. My kids already know what they have to look forward to. Ha. I’ve wanted to start on the hexies but I was up to my eyeballs in canning and I had to make myself look away. I didn’t join the baking bunch, but I definitely have canned and dehydrated enough stuff to last us a while. I hope you get some good news soon and baby and momma are happy and healthy! Enjoyed the visit as always! See ya next time. 🙂
Hi Anna, I hope you're well! I am working on a scrappy hexie quilt and a crochet blanket. I love your podcast, you're very fun and relaxing to listen to :) Love from Ellen in Australia xx
Well, my breakfast was a vanilla protein shake before going to work. After work I ran a couple errands and then went home and walked on the treadmill while I read my book- The Bible. I have never read it entirely because I'm not a big book reader. I am too much of a "squirrel" and need to have my hands busy or myself moving. I have figured out I can walk and read at the same time! I do about 15 pages and walk about an hour. I just finished Genesis. I have a long ways to go.... I just love your videos too! I don't mind them being long in the least bit. I enjoy listening to you. This evening I listen to you while I work on my cross stitch Prim Village by Lori Holt. Your quilts are beautiful! You have been making a good dent in your topper pile and binding pile. I completely agree with your comment of being up early doing things while it's still dark out and all is still. It really does feel like you are in a hidden world of your own for a while. I knew exactly how you felt. May you have a safe trip to Portland and enjoy the new grand baby when they arrive!!
@@quiltroadies1695 lol. That can be quite true! I have to make sure my glasses are on and I'm walking a steady pace. But I have even better news a coworker showed me!! Theres a Bible app that can read to me! So if I lose my place I still hear everything and he pronounces all those names and places correctly. Ha
I am learning Temari. Trying to read Pillars but very very slowly. Huge book. North of Chicago it is a beautiful fall. Stay safe! Happy for you and your family on the upcoming new arrival. I have 8 grandchildren 😃
Tomorrow I'm going to can pumpkin from pie pumpkins because there may not be any canned pumpkin on the shelves at the store this year. I was surprised to learn that vanilla beans come from orchid plants. I love your new hexies. I'm watching you while I'm in bed unable to sleep. I have low acid coffee for breakfast and I have always baked. I have been canning more. Our weather here in Alaska is getting cold and this week the oil man is coming to fill our tank. I have been lighting fires in the wood stove for about two weeks now. I can't wait for my husband to retire. He has 3 years and then we are moving to Tucson. Yippee. My weenie dog is on the decline her knees come out of joint all the time. I love her so. I'm reading " the prisoner's key" by C.J.Archer.
Hi Anna....here in St Helens we are enjoying the last gasp of summer this week....I’ve been keto for 19 months....so my breakfast was green tea...keto pound cake and an iced coffee.....I’m working on Christmas presents this morning....making kitchen sets....bowl cozies....dish towels....pot holders and dish cloths....I’m also working on my very first cross stitch....Disney characters for my grandson.....working on a fox head punch needle and my latest mini quilt....a baby hexie for my newest great nephew....love your videos and look forward to every new one you post....have a great day...sounds like it’s going to be very busy....!!
Oh, Anna, my husband is working hard to convince me to move to Sisters. I don’t know if I could live in a small town, but you almost convince me to agree to tne move. Bless you, you are a pleasure to visit with while I stitch. I’m currently reading Pelosi. It’s very educational re: how things happen in Congress. Before that I read The 5am Club and Wild.
I'm hand quilting my " Farm Girl Vintage" quilt by Lori Holt while listening to you. Ahhhh! Finished the most amazing book-"The Music Lesson" by Victor Wooten. Thanks for sharing your life with us.
Good evening, Anna. I am watching and listening to you while my supper settles. We had homemade broccoli and cheese soup. I had never made it before and it was delicious. I have been working on quilts for my grandsons. The first one was a panel that was printed vertically on the fabric with smaller block panels around it. I had cut them all apart so that I could re-arrange them. This resulted in piecing additional blocks to fill in the gaps. I have that top finished now and I am trying to get the quilt sandwich ready. The second quilt is a LARGE one-piece panel of a cow because that grandson loves them. Thanks for the lovely visit. I'm sending prayers up for a safe delivery for Mom & Baby!
I'm glad that you can hear me because in my head and sometimes under my breath, I talk back :) Breakfast was grits with Fontina cheese :). So yummy! I'm reading "Death on the Nile" by Agatha Christie - I know when I pick up when one of her books, it's a good read and good triumphs! Before the pandemic, I barely tolerated some forms of shopping and errands (of course, all stitching related excluded!) - our daughter has been running all of our mundane errands since March and so you talking about the difficulties of errands after being in your own little world for months makes me nervous.... Today, a stitching friend and I finally went to our 'local' (hour away) cross stitching shop - first trip in about 10-11 months. Now that was such a joy! I'm friends with the family who owns the shop so not only was it good to fill in some gaps on projects, but also good to visit with friends. :) A little bit of normal today :) So no stitching while listened to you - I was washing dishes and heating up some gumbo (our first beautiful and cool day of fall) in the beginning of the video and now finishing at the end of a long, but good, day. Even with small children, I accomplished more when I was working too! When you are 'not working', family expects more from you (well, you have the time to....), there are other non-stitch things that we want to do, and I found myself more tired at the end of the day which is when I used to stitch. For me, being home with my children was more work, more tiring, and sometimes more stressful than working away from home. They are grown, one still in the house, one was married earlier this month - but they still take time :), just different from when they were small. Love all your projects :) Keeping mom and baby in my prayers.
I am getting ready to head back to AZ from South Dakota next week. I have to close down the campground tomorrow. Then next week take 3 calves to the sale barn. It has been hot and dry all summer, hardly any rain. While I am watching you I am crocheting on an Afghan I started years ago. I am also working on Squash squad and Ariana’s river rocks pouch pattern. Breakfast was a protein shake and 1/2 bagel with cream cheese.
Anna....you have warmed my soul today. Feeling a little stressed today! I am working on Stacy Nash cracker series..Scarlett. She’s so beautiful! Also just finished a Christmas cross stitch gift for my daughter in-law . Will be sewing chicken pillows next week. I really needed you today so I thank you. Barb
Taking pins out of a baby quilt I just quilted. Rainy day in Pawling,NY. We. Needed it .My son, the paramedic just visited. He wanders around my sewing room looking at all the fabrics and machines. When I asked about work he just said fentanyl and Angel dust. Not a happy man. The town's he is associate chief of ems aare very, very wealthy too. He is so worn out by the covid and now drugs. Last straw is his beloved dog is not long for this world. His son drove up from Washington,DC to visit with Riley the beloved Westie. I hope things improve for him and his men.
Hi Anna, So enjoy your videos and usually don't work on anything while watching. Just enjoy the quiet time and watch. Had cheerios for breakfast, have loved them since I was kid. Our weather is really icky today. Only 48 degrees and raining. The leaves have all turned and are falling fast. Still have some outside work to do before the snow flies. We are in northern Minnesota, only about 125 miles from the canadian border. I also enjoy your floss roadies. I used to xstitch years ago, but gave it up cuz it took me so long, however I'm starting to work on a project again. So see how it goes. Am reading Where Lilacs Still Bloom by Jane Kirkpatrick and also started The Story of Edgar Sawtelle by David Wroblewski, was an Oprah Book Club selection from 2008. Have safe travels to Portland and prayers for you all! Toots
Oh Anna, I just love your work, it’s so beautiful, everything you do is just gorgeous! I’m so glad I found you! Best of luck w/ the grand baby. There is nothing like grandchildren. I’m lucky I get to see my 3 every week. We moved from New York to Florida ( which I hate!) to be near them, and it’s all worth it. I still work full time (and then some). I have just finished dinner and am sitting down to relax and watch you with a cold drink and my dog and cat. My cat seems to like sitting in my lap while I listen to you. She enjoys your soothing voice as much as I do! My days are so crazy I enjoy just sitting on my lanai where it is still 80+ degrees at 8pm. Be well my stitchy/quilty friend. Be well, love you, Karen
I am watching for Philadelphia and we have had rainy weather all day so a perfect day to sew. I am finishing up my Jelly Snowflake quilt ( free from FQS) and I made a a table runner yesterday "Pumpkins in a Row". I had a bagel for breakfast which is sort of unusual but oh so good. I live alone with a cat and a golden retriever so plenty of time to sew and craft during these covid days. I see my grandkids occasionally but still try to limit it to things outdoors just to me safe. I just ordered fabric to make a quilt for my granddaughters birthday on Oct 25th so I had best get busy. I sent two quilts to Oregon last week for the fire victims so hope your fires will be getting busy as we head into fall/winter. Good chatting with you this evening.
Hi Anna We love watching and listening to you from Inverness in the Highlands of Scotland. Sisters looks a very nice place maybe one day we will get to visit and go shopping at the Stitching Post? Best wishes from Paula & Maureen Keep safe x
For breakfast I had Yogurt and Fresh Peaches. It was so good. The weather where I live which is in Southern California, near Arizona, is still hot, hot, hot. I believe it was 105 today and will be hot for a while yet. Maybe the new baby will be born in October and you will have another reason to celebrate for the whole month. My birthday is also in October and it is my favorite month of the year. Not the getting older part, but just a lovely month. No stitching today, had to go shopping. Blessings to you and your family.
When I was raising children and working full time I got more things done. I don’t miss shopping in the malls anymore. Hope you will let us know as soon as that baby gets here and all is well
It's school holidays here in Queensland, Australia as we get almost to bedtime. The days have been busy taking one grandchild each day to have some special time with them, but it has also been very tiring. However, it has given their mother time to work in relative peace without two children interfering with her work too much. On one occasion I took them both out for the morning as she had an important conference call to attend to. There were metal and glass "insects" in the local shopping centre and they spent the rest of the time looking through the shops. Then tonight we went to see Trolls the World Tour. They both enjoyed it so much and danced along with the movie, trying to sing the songs and generally had a great time. They go back to school next Tuesday and I will miss the time with them. We have sewed, gardened, gone out for morning tea, driven around the town looking at some of the Spring Gardens - it's Carnival of Flowers time here too. While checking in with you tonight when we got home, I have been knitting a jumper, that will be light enough for the spring weather ( as it can't make up it's mind what it is doing). Not far to go now. I often pick up the hexies I am doing for a Grandmothers Garden quilt. 1" hexies all sewn together. Luckily I really am enjoying watching you chat, talking back to you, doing my knitting or hexies and generally joining in the conversation as we go. I know you cannot hear me, but just like talking to the television when things are going wrong, I can talk along with you and no-one is any wiser. I hope the new grandchild will arrive soon and let everyone relax. My thoughts and prayers are with you all over there as the bush fires and other problems you are facing can be very burdensome. Stay safe, stay well and enjoy life.
I am reading The Stone Wall, a new release by Beverley Lewis. A very nice read, I have been to Paducah, MSQC and Shipshewana among my favorites. Would love to meet you if you go to Ohio. I live in SW NYS and it would be a lovely trip. We love the Ohio Amish Country as well. The weather in my area has been in mid 50's with the sun poking out occasionally as well as sprinkles of rain. The foliage is so awesome right now...it takes your breath away. My girlfriend and I drove to our favorite quilt shop [45 minutes away] and relieved them of some inventory, stopped for a nice lunch and truly enjoyed each other's company. All in all it has been a good day!
I hope you are safe and dry....there is a lot in our present moments to be thankful for...
Thank you for keeping me company while I hand stitched my first queen sized quilt!
you go girl
Wow Anna, I absolutely love the Gingerbear quilt for your grandson! Beautiful quilting too!

I hope your recovery is going well! wish we could share our happy hour porch time with you
You are not boring, I enjoy your conversations with us.

This is Thursday evening and I just sat down to watch you ! I have to say that I honestly find myself answering you when you are talking so I guess covid has one silver lining which is it introduce me to floss tube which in turn introduced me to you! Please keep sharing your love of quilting and cross stitch with us you bring me light hearted laughter and friendship to an otherwise worrisome time thank you sincerely Pat McEvers
yes, these videos work both ways...I feel your company
I am so happy I found this channel. I am not a quilter - but I am working on crafty stuff while I listen to you. It is awesome, keep it up!
welcome...you may become a quilter...just sayin
Hope all is well.
a great goal!!!
While watching / listening to your video I cleaned up my kitchen, got lessons ready for a first grader distance learner who spends each day with us, and made some banana bread.
Anna, you always seem to express the way I'm feeling. Thank you!
Thanks for the lovely visit. I was watching while I was tidying up my sewing room in preparation for quilting two of my quilt tops. One on my Tin Lizzie and one on my HQSweet Sixteen. It will be nice to have them off my list. Chat later.
busy stitcher!
Thank you for all you do for us Covid Quilters!
what a lovely quilt
Every quilt is gorgeous.
My hubby made me some oatmeal with raisins, and now I'm sitting crocheting while watching you. It's a day of recuperation after a long week of in-person teaching.
we have a family member who is a virtual teacher and is exhausted
I am flipping thru some magazines while listening to you this evening. This morning I started my day with toast and yogurt as I do every day. My gardener husband picked green peppers and I spent parts of the day chopping those then I freeze them on a cookie sheet then scoop up a cup and put them in food saver bags. Today I did 12 cups. Made cornbread and beans for dinner. I have a small group of quilt friends I think we started years ago on a fons and porter community group that slowly transitioned from one area to another. So now it’s 6 of us that greet each other every day online. What a close group we have become and never have met in person.
your quilty friend group warms my heart!
YOU ARE SO RIGHT! I am so glad you are here. Thank you
Loving the journey is right.
Anna I just love the quilt for your new grandbaby. We are expecting our first grandbaby, a boy, in December and his room will be woodland theme. I am going to try to find that fabric. Wish me luck. Prayers for the new baby and all the family during this time. Enjoy and can't wait to hear that he has arrived.
it's an older line but I am sure you will have success!
Thanks again for these videos.
what a lovely start to the day
Anna dear Anna you are NEVER boring. I had a biscuit and am working on my hexie quilt. Today it’s in the 50’s and windy and now raining. But I love fall here in Wisconsin. I can’t wait til you announce the baby’s arrival and hope all goes well. Hugs to all and glad you are staying safe.
he is absolutely adorable!
Lots of love to you!
what a lovely time we are having together!
Don’t call it the COVID world, let’s call it getting back to basics, getting to know oneself and cultivating friendships (RUclips) all over the country. You’re a lovely friend🙂.
I love your attitude!
Sitting with you is NEVER boring! Keep talking! You have become a 'cherished old friend'!!
"Cherished old friend" is the perfect word to describe how I feel about Anna - first on Quilt Roadies, now on Stitch Roadies, too. And as someone in the same "quarantine with a few exceptions here and there" status as Anna and many others here, it sure feels like a life in community.
awww thank you
Love the baby quilt. Hoping all goes well for all.
I was stitching on my first cross stitch pattern while watching your wonderful video in the Bee Hive. Our pomogranite orchard has abundant fruit, ripe for the picking, so I had a bowl full of seeds for breakfast.
Welcome to the cross stitch rabbit hole! A Pomegranate orchard!!! YUMMM
I loved the photo of your clothesline basket and I need to find a pattern for that...it looks amazing!!
Anna, the clothes line baskets are great! I sent you a message on Facebook. Hopefully that will get your juices flowing!😊
I am not working on anything while I watch. I am laying in bed. You are helping me wake up. And then I go take a shower and keep watching while I have my protein shake for breakfast. Then I go to work. It has been dreary this week. Last week was beautiful, but it’s cold and wet here. Fall is definitely here.
nice to visit :)
Happy birthday Anna have a lovely month xxx
Bless you for taking care of those that need it...I think a Sue Spargo stitch would be perfect for those waiting times!
Have a wonderful day!!🏵🌻🙋♀️
love your morning start
Nothing exciting for breakfast, decaf tea and frozen waffles.
oh man I would be in trouble with a capital T if I lived that close to Sue!!!
You are so right ,I retired at 70 and did so- so much . Now at 86 there not enough hrs. in a day .
I am sewing on my grandson's Christmas quilt. While I listen to you .it is all about car's hope he will enjoy it . Now that he has turned 13 . Egg whites as usual . Hopefully go back to work soon if schools open up . You cheer me up as dose kate ''from last Homley house.
love me some Kate!
Sunday my daughter and I went to a local farm for some pumpkins and gourds and I brought a butternut squash corn and leeks so I made a ham, squash, corn and leek chowder yum!
oh I hope someday you will make it to Portland!
I’m sure they will treasure them forever.
you mama is right but boy is it hard
Working on a snowflake table runner for Christmas decorating in the house. Breakfast - coffee! We ran some errands today to the post office and Walmart after an appointment with hubby's doc. Weather is cool and dreary. Trees are starting to change color a little bit - another week or two and it will be beautiful. Going to enjoy that color change because we spent the last 20 years in Texas where trees don't change much. We are in northern Illinois now. Enjoying your video's!
i need to get started on Christmas
I always have more than one book going, lol
While I'm sewing, I love to catch up on your videos. Sewing kids clothes right know, but you are making me want to get my stitching out🥰
It's 12:44 pm in Tucson Az and it's 99 degrees. Have a blessed day.
yikes!
I am so fascinated by intermittent fasting...I have it on my list to read about
I can't wait to visit that shop!!!
Anna, The owl quilt is amazing!!!!! I can imagine your beautiful soon-to-be grandson cuddled up in it for years to come. -Love spending time with you. I am working on Brenda Gervais' Heart of the Home Sampler. It has so many pretty colors.
what's not to love about Brenda Gervais!
Anna, You are neighbor and friend to all of us. I ordered a hexagon template to try what you're doing. Looking forward to making it into a quilt. Tfs. All of us get lonely with covid for sure.
you are going to have fun!
I am more prepared than ever especially thread stock!
Cinnamon raisin bagels with peanut butter, a glass of milk, and a cup of coffee...my favourite breakfast for the weekend! Great taste in breakfast foods, Marna!
I am sitting in my car listening to you before I start my day.
At home I am working on fall table runners. It is a beautiful crisp fall morning in Illinois
aren't fall table runners the most fun!
Happy sewing, Patricia.
you know...I think taking the time to cook something the "long" way is better. Hope you continue to be healthy and stitchy
I guess we had better start thinking about Christmas
Quilt Roadies ..iys coming very fast..congrats on the new grandson..the picture you posted is just lovely!
I am soooo jealous!
Pam Miller
oh boy girlfriend you are in deep, LOL
Not bored!
thank goodness you found an answer!!!
Sat in my sewing room putting binding around a table runner. my breakfast was rye toast with poached eggs 😊 Here in the UK its raining again.
Lol
your first line had me drooling!
You just inspire me to keep pleasant thoughts and do some crafts because that what makes me happy! I pray your grandchild arrives soon! I envy you, my grands are all grown up! But we have such precious memories! Thank you for letting us come into your life!
he is a cutie and so easy going, lol...that's nana's opinion! lol
Love watching you.
you are a good sis! If only we could sit on the porch and stitch....
Fabric always needs friends, lol
I look forward to hanging out with you!
love Buttermilk Basin Christmas!!!
I'm making a border for my basket scrappy quilt. I love to use my scraps. I live in the Sierra, California. I'm from Southamerica leaving most of my life here. Love sewing. Love your channel.
I love a basket quilt!!
Egg on toast for breakfast. Currently weaving in ends of yarn on a sweater for my youngest grandson while I listen.
Wow wow wow ...beautiful quilts Anna ..you sure are getting through that pile...love love the black and white one.
My thoughts are with you for the arrival of your precious grandchild.
Love you too Anna ..and G 😘🥰💐
he is a precious bundle
This is early for Vermont to peak--could be due to drought conditions????
yes...I fear Mother Nature is having a fit this year
I am working on quilted table toppers from scraps. Just home from work. I am an RN working outpatient GI doing procedures. I always need to sew a little everyday in order to clear the mind after work. Here in SE Wisconsin fall has arrived with wide spread frost happening this week. I don't have a big breakfast, just a power bar and out the door I go. I so enjoy your sewing chats in the bee hive!!
exactly...we have to stitch to clear the mind
Love Julia.
thank you for the lovely conversation
I love black, red and white baby quilts. It helps with their eye development. I was thinking about Thanksgiving while trying to go to sleep last night. We usually have 20-25 family members. Don't know how that is going to go this year. Hope the baby comes soon, but not till you are in Portland. It's in the high 70s low 80s here in San Antonio. Perfect weather.
he is a jewel!
Hope all goes well with your new grandbaby.
it feels good to have control over something in our lives, lol
It’s a beautiful day in SE Idaho. I’m busy stuffing charts for a big Hoffman reorder. I’m glad you gave two videos up for entertainment while I’m working.
I am glad I can keep you company!
Hi Anna, I usually watch your videos in the evening when the day is over. Not a big
breakfast eater usually just coffee and a couple pieces of toast. I just finished a Halloween quilt and now working on in the hoop Christmas ornaments on my embroidery machine. Live in New Jersey we will be having some fall like temps
this weekend. Good luck to you and your family with the new arrival. Thanks again for your great videos.
someday I hope to make it to New Jersey....
Chris-Raleigh NC
oh you are a true designer!
It will be well loved.
oh you live in one of my favorite places!
Wow, gorgeous quilts
I'm reading Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker by Jennifer Chiaverini very good. Stated The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett..very good also..thought provoking. Thanks for the visit, always enjoy them. Praying for safe travels and a healthy baby..soon.😊❤
oh I read that a while ago!
Also, I am in the midst of planning our first camping trip of the year.
pumpkin bars!!!! I just saw a vegan recipe that I am going to try...sometimes baked goods are tricky
Lol
It’s always a joy to watch your RUclips videos. I love them! Have a good week! 😍
oh I hope your sister is doing ok...I am a tumble kind of girl!
Good night.
what a lovely stitch time we are having!
That breakfast sounds lovely!
yes! keeping busy keeps the boogie man away!
Hi Anna, I hope you're well! I am working on a scrappy hexie quilt and a crochet blanket. I love your podcast, you're very fun and relaxing to listen to :) Love from Ellen in Australia xx
Thank you for hanging out here with all of us!
I can so relate to not like shopping any more. It is very stressful for me. I can't wait to get home. I am becoming a hermit, by necessity.
I used to read while using a treadmill...then I found I would start slowing down...lol
HUGGGGGGE book
I love that there are still people canning. Alaska to Tucson...wow what a change. sweet kissed to your pup
I need to make a list and start my Christmas stitching
Oh, Anna, my husband is working hard to convince me to move to Sisters. I don’t know if I could live in a small town, but you almost convince me to agree to tne move. Bless you, you are a pleasure to visit with while I stitch. I’m currently reading Pelosi. It’s very educational re: how things happen in Congress. Before that I read The 5am Club and Wild.
Judy L do it do it do it!!!!
I'm hand quilting my " Farm Girl Vintage" quilt by Lori Holt while listening to you. Ahhhh! Finished the most amazing book-"The Music Lesson" by Victor Wooten. Thanks for sharing your life with us.
I requested the book...it sounds lovely!
I'm sending prayers up for a safe delivery for Mom & Baby!
yeah...we think those panel quilts are going to be a slam dunk...until we start cutting them apart, lol
I'm glad that you can hear me because in my head and sometimes under my breath, I talk back :)
Breakfast was grits with Fontina cheese :).
Love all your projects :)
Keeping mom and baby in my prayers.
I love grits! yes it is interesting the different stages of life...all we can count on is change....be safe and thank you for the prayers
Breakfast was a protein shake and 1/2 bagel with cream cheese.
safe travels and I look forward to see your progress on the stitching!
I hope things improve for him and his men.
glad we were here for each other!
@@marypodgorski1111 oh Mary...we are walking the same path of worry for our paramedic boys...the world they see is dark
Toots
it is raining today here but we need it!
Be well, love you, Karen
we grandparents do chase our grandkids....I bet it is like a different world...NY to Florida
I have been pondering alone vs lonely...and certainly my stitching helps in both cases
Hi Anna
We love watching and listening to you from Inverness in the Highlands of Scotland. Sisters looks a very nice place maybe one day we will get to visit and go shopping at the Stitching Post? Best wishes from Paula & Maureen
Keep safe x
you name the day and time and I will be there!!!
Blessings to you and your family.
it really is the loveliest month of the year
Love these visits. Have a blessed day!
When I was raising children and working full time I got more things done. I don’t miss shopping in the malls anymore. Hope you will let us know as soon as that baby gets here and all is well
that baby is off the charts awesome!!!
What a lovely lovely time...and I so enjoyed our conversation
