    I lived in Aukumn housing in 1989-1992. It wasn’t remodeled, but it was still very nice. I was a sub teacher at Aukumn Elementary where our two young daughters went to school. I loved walking in the small town of Aukumn and going to the local bakery. Germany is just so beautiful! I also lived in Nuremberg, Hanau and Schweinfurt.

      That is such a great area! We actually might visit that same bakery. My dog & I walk around town trying new bakeries every week!

    Similar to the base housing in Rhein Main when it still existed. Though we did not have in apartment laundry. Also only one sink in bathroom. We used passive dehumidifiers to keep the mold out.

    This was a great video! I was stationed there from 2007 to 2010. And we only had a two bedroom as well.
    It’s also crazy how your place looks identical to what ours did ( no joke ) It’s the same layout and everything, even the same furniture . It’s funny how it hasn’t changed a bit in 11 years lol ...

      Yes! All the apartments we viewed had similar layouts (almost identical). Made picking our favorite pretty easy! :)

    Similar layout, but we had closets.

    We only had 220 outlets. Though had transformers.

    Hi!!! Can you tell me the measurements of all the windows so I can buy curtains. I was hesitant on buying curtains because I didn’t want to buy the wrong size.

    • @kennyandsam
      @kennyandsam  4 года назад

      For our apartment, we have three windows that are H 64" x W 64" & one large livingroom window that is H 64" x W 129". We have a smaller kitchen window that measures H 47" x W 41" ,but you probably won't need a curtain for that. Our bathroom also has one window, but it has an 'icy' finish so you cannot see through it. All the housing is a little different though. Your home could have smaller or larger windows, but I hope this helps as a general idea for sizing!

    Hello! I was wondering if you would know what the housing for a major is? We have 2 boys. Great Video!

    • @kennyandsam
      @kennyandsam  3 года назад

      Hello, More than likely Aukamm or Crestview (possibly Clay Kassern depending on housing availability). We reside on Hainerberg which is usually housing for E1-E6. Aukamm is just a short walk from Hainerberg (which makes it easier to reach the PX & Commissary that are located on Hainerberg). If you have any other questions, reach out any time!

    Hey girl! Thanks for the video! We PCs to Weisbaden in February 2021. It will be my first PCs. How do they determine size? My husband is an E5, just us with one doggo.

    • @kennyandsam
      @kennyandsam  4 года назад

      Hey! That is actually our exact family situation (E5 husband + me + 1 doggo). Housing on base is mostly determined by family size & rank. For us, they only offered 2 bed, 1 bath apt options on Hainerberg because of my husband's rank & because we do not have kids (we would still be on Hainerberg if we did, just possibly a larger apt). I have a blog post up that tells you a bit more about the housing here (what you may need to bring, what to expect etc)! You can find it here: box5451.temp.domains/~helloiv1/military-housing-in-germany/

      Kenny & Sam Thank you guys so much, you’re awesome! My husband is asking if there’s a lot of fields out there? We’re in Fort Bliss, TX right now and they go to the field 5 months out of the year. His MOS is 91B. I’m adding your IG tonight! 🌹

      Kenny & Sam His Unit will be 66th MI HHC

    • @kennyandsam
      @kennyandsam  4 года назад

      @@Skorpa1 My husband said it depends on the Unit here. He came from an ESB in Fort Hood, TX & went on field exercises frequently while we were stationed there (before we moved to Wiesbaden). Since moving here, he has not been on any exercises. Your husband's Unit could be different though. :)

    Our report date was changed to May 10 from March.
    Would you be able to give me measurements of each room? I want to see if our furniture is too big.. thanks a ton!

    • @kennyandsam
      @kennyandsam  3 года назад

      Absolutely! I will measure them tomorrow and let you know. Would you just need measurements for the living room and bedrooms? Or would you also like the dining nook measured?

    Hey do you know if some people actually get houses with yards? Or are these apartments the only option? Thanks

    • @kennyandsam
      @kennyandsam  2 года назад

      Some higher-ranking families do! It depends on rank + number of dependents for Wiesbaden. Also depends on availability.

  • @yaziflic8922

    are there always 2 bedrooms or are there apartments with just livingroom and 1 bedroom too?

    • @kennyandsam
      @kennyandsam  3 года назад

      To our knowledge 2 bedrooms is the minimum on Hainerberg. I am unsure about the other locations, such as Clay Kassern etc.
