The way Nick described riding loose reminded me of an article I read about being the "weightless rider"... just letting the bike work under you and giving it input, not moving it around forcefully.
A lot of people teach “the clutch is a crutch”. The clutch should be used in corners if you make a mistake. If you can learn clutch less cornering it will teach you to rely on the throttle and make your corners a lot of smoother. Granted, riding trails or something you’re unfamiliar with, it may be more difficult to do that.
Billy Bolt, Multiple super enduro world champion....you should tell him and the hundred other pro riders out there that arm pump is baloney and they are just riding the bike wrong.
lol i did think the same thing hahaha, tho i dod know what he means just worded a bit wrong, have to say i saw billy bolt about 2 months ago at an extreme enduro. that man can ride!
Awesome job Nick! Completely agree! Arm pump comes from overriding! Any rider can ride themselves into arm pump no matter the level!

Being loose on the bike comes from anticipation of what the bike will do. You can only get it with seat time and experience.
Brilliantly summed!

I think what he meant is that it’s not as much of a problem if you’re relaxe and ride loose.
@@doug_EX yes that's what he should have said, instead he said it basically doesn't exist
