I just powered through 4 cable knit sweaters for our adult children and their partners in 4 months while moving and then travelling in a new camper van and helping my husband post stroke (not sure my hands appreciated it 😂). My 2024 projects will need to be more portable whilst we travel around in our van, but that Celtic crochet book appeals so much. Don’t be afraid of knitting if you enjoy crochet look at continental knitting as it holds the yarn similarly. I am new to crochet, but have learned so much. Have fun! The Lori Holt Scrappiness is Happiness is an awesome book! I am finishing up the Pumpkin Patched Quilt that I didn’t get completed in the fall. I plan to start the Santa Hat Quilt next. I am currently working on the checkerboard quilt from scrappiness is happiness…I was going to start the quilted witch,however decided to have planned scrappy with the checkerboard quilt, I am using the dark autumnal multi colour for my background….for some reason I feel I need a darker colour quilt..lolol…thank you ladies for another wonderful multi crafting video…Happy New Year….

I have so many books and charts and kits for a variety of crafts, and I want to use my stash and also get some WIPS completed. I just pulled out an afghan that I started knitting a couple of years ago and I’ve made great progress in the past couple of weeks. I want to finish it and then try crocheting. I love stitching sewing stuff like spool. Etsy is a great place to get cross stitch. I will have 5 grandkids we have pizza and watch movies. Then we take a little video of them saying Happy New Year and send it to parents. We usually get to bed around 12:30.

Hi Ladies! I thoroughly enjoyed watching you today! So many beautiful items you shared. Janette I got my knitting needles back out just yesterday to try my hand at it again. My stitches get tighter and tighter as I knit so I am focusing on less tension in my knitting this year. I love the granny square afghan and the Christmas quilts. I said I would not buy anything from Etsy next month, but now I want to go look for fabrics and patterns you showed. My goal this new year is also to focus on Christmas crafts and to finish several things I have started. Happy New Year!
So many pretty things, the Christmas afghan is great. We've simplified our Christmas by getting together for a meal but NOT giving presents to adults, only kids under 18. We are all blessed with so much already and no one needs more chotchkes.

I find that if you are a crocheter first it is easiest to learn continental style knitting. It is where you hold the yarn in your left hand. I love all of your plans for the next year! I am knitting some socks, and I almost finished with them,so that will probably be what I will work on during new years eve. Lots of handsewing down those applique farm parts/animals I love crocheting but want to pick up knitting but yarn has gotten so expensive nowadays. I have 37 quilt projects kitted up and after I finish my son’s wedding quilt I will start pulling numbers. Lots of quilt tops to quilt too. I have no excuse there because I own a longarm just need to get in the studio. I also am trying to participate in a Wipgo board with all my cross stitching. I love your Christmas Granny Square Afghan! I am a knitter who can't crochet lol, my mom and daughter can do both but there is some kind of mind block for me. Some of the socks with 12 colors is self striping (I didn't want that to scare you off) and I do knit the Continental way which I hold the yarn in my left hand. I am working on Christmas stitching right now, I am normally a seasonal stitcher but I'm trying to change that this year. The holidays are so busy and this year I didn't have time to stitch. I also have tons of quilt kits so 2024 the only thing I will buy is backing fabric. I also love the Irish chain I quilted 2 with Christmas fabric from my stash and want to try hand quilting them. Cross stitch I have tons of full coverage, so I also decided no new charts, have tons of Cross stitch fabric so no buying in 2024. My goodness Evelyn is growing up way too fast what a cutie pie. I have not had the time to keep up with your videos in the last couple years but I love them each time I return. I wish my mom and I lived closer and could craft together. I love that you love all the crafts. I do too and constantly struggle with giving each category it’s time or purchasing all the things from etsy. So often I get overwhelmed and do none which makes me sad. This got me reinvigorated to at least try something in each category I enjoy this new year. And then we’ll see from there. Everything you both do is so pretty! Incorporating any kind of spool into crafty decor is the best!
I'm the same exact way! I want to do so many things that I get paralyzed and end up doing nothing a lot of the time. I'm trying so hard to not do that and I just work on a different project if I get bored with what I was currently working on to stay inspired. Happy new year to you!

Happy New Year Renee! The charm pack challenge quilt is a technique that Kimberley from the fatquarter shop showed on her video in the fall of 2022. It is a great beginner quilt!! She shows you step by step how to do it. No pattern required. Missouri Star just recently showed a very similar technique on their channel in December. It was called Dressed to the nines. Both are simple quilts that will give that wonderful patchwork look. Let us know if you make one!

You asked what your viewers might be working on on New Year's Eve and I had to laugh because I'm working on a knitted shawl! I had the same kind of difficulty you had learning how to knit, Janet! Absolutely could NOT get the hang of it - until I tried Continental Knitting - made all the difference in the world! As a crocheter, you might find it easier to do, too - LOTS of videos on RUclips on how to do it. Good luck - I think you'd love it if you can get the rhythm of it down!
I have been doing Continental knitting. I couldn’t do the other way at all. I am working on my tension now because I am way too tight. I am going to keep practicing though!!! Have a blessed New Year🥰

You have a lot of the Lori Holt quilts to finish. Lots of handsewing down those applique farm parts/animals I love crocheting but want to pick up knitting but yarn has gotten so expensive nowadays. I have 37 quilt projects kitted up and after I finish my son’s wedding quilt I will start pulling numbers. Lots of quilt tops to quilt too. I have no excuse there because I own a longarm just need to get in the studio. I also am trying to participate in a Wipgo board with all my cross stitching. Try hard to be on a NO BUY in 2024 just making a list of what I might want to buy in 2025.

I love your Christmas Granny Square Afghan! I am a knitter who can't crochet lol, my mom and daughter can do both but there is some kind of mind block for me. Some of the socks with 12 colors is self striping (I didn't want that to scare you off) and I do knit the Continental way which I hold the yarn in my left hand.
I am working on Christmas stitching right now, I am normally a seasonal stitcher but I'm trying to change that this year. The holidays are so busy and this year I didn't have time to stitch. I am working on Prairie Schoolers - Christmas Eve, Brenda Gervais - Winter Rose Manor and Hobby House Press-Dasher and Dancer.

Hello, so glad to see you both and all of your projects. I quilt and cross stitch. The quilt I will be working on is Farm Girl Vintage using my stash and making it scrappy. I also have tons of quilt kits so 2024 the only thing I will buy is backing fabric. I also love the Irish chain I quilted 2 with Christmas fabric from my stash and want to try hand quilting them. Cross stitch I have tons of full coverage, so I also decided no new charts, have tons of Cross stitch fabric so no buying in 2024. My goodness Evelyn is growing up way too fast what a cutie pie. I have not had the time to keep up with your videos in the last couple years but I love them each time I return. I wish my mom and I lived closer and could craft together. I love that you love all the crafts. I do too and constantly struggle with giving each category it’s time or purchasing all the things from etsy. So often I get overwhelmed and do none which makes me sad. This got me reinvigorated to at least try something in each category I enjoy this new year. And then we’ll see from there. Everything you both do is so pretty! Incorporating any kind of spool into crafty decor is the best!
I'm the same exact way! I want to do so many things that I get paralyzed and end up doing nothing a lot of the time. I'm trying so hard to not do that and I just work on a different project if I get bored with what I was currently working on to stay inspired. Happy new year to you!

Happy New Year Renee! The charm pack challenge quilt is a technique that Kimberley from the fatquarter shop showed on her video in the fall of 2022. It is a great beginner quilt!! She shows you step by step how to do it. No pattern required. Missouri Star just recently showed a very similar technique on their channel in December. It was called Dressed to the nines. Both are simple quilts that will give that wonderful patchwork look. Let us know if you make one!

You asked what your viewers might be working on on New Year's Eve and I had to laugh because I'm working on a knitted shawl! I had the same kind of difficulty you had learning how to knit, Janet! Absolutely could NOT get the hang of it - until I tried Continental Knitting - made all the difference in the world! As a crocheter, you might find it easier to do, too - LOTS of videos on RUclips on how to do it. Good luck - I think you'd love it if you can get the rhythm of it down!
I have been doing Continental knitting. I couldn’t do the other way at all. I am working on my tension now because I am way too tight. I am going to keep practicing though!!! Have a blessed New Year🥰
Heather my granddaughter loves the Nutcracker too. I found a Jann Brett Nut Cracker book that I gave Addy for Christmas this year. She told me tonight that she loves it and has read it every night since Christmas.
