I listen to these stories at night to
Help me fall asleep, but I end up getting so excited that I end up staying up until late hours in the morning and than I end up taking senior citizen naps through out the day.

Whenever I watch one of the Rabbis videos I think of one of the greatest video games. The main character of Half Life is named Gordon Freeman. All of the supporting characters either refer to him as Gordon or just the free man. "Hey its the free man, follow the free man!" I know the context is as if I'm idolizing Rabbi Friedman. That couldn't be farther from the truth, although I do admire these lectures immensely. G-d bless... p.s. I've heard Moshiach is coming soon. Any day now. Last week or something like that.

Rabbi, I dont think it's necessary to feel 'jealousy' for people who 'know more'. Nor for those "having" more. Haven't ever felt that that I can remember and I don't think it challenges my humanity that I don't, or haven't, either. We can "want" to know more, to "have" more, without being 'jealous' of others. I think their knowledge inspires, challenges or "defeats", depending on the situation.
"Jealousy" - "envy" - teeter too close to "coveting". That leads to disaster all the way around.
Besides being jealous, in my understanding, would mean accepting all that the other has, not only the "goodies" we see, the challenges, pains, etc. I'll keep mine, thanks.

  • @joellogan2420

In the Bible all authority comes by the anointing of the Holy Spirit - judges, kings, leaders, and prophets - God alone chooses. When Aaron's sons became drunk and communed with "strange fire" they were consumed by fire. When Moses became angry outside the authority of the Holy Spirit he was denied entry into the promised land. When Samson obeyed Delilah and rebelled against the Holy Spirit the anointing left him. When Korach failed to recognize the anointing of the Holy Spirit on Moses and Aaron and rebelled against them he was rebelling against the Holy Spirit. The prophet said of the Jews - always resisting the Spirit and self willed. God revealed himself to Elijah as a quiet, still voice(dove). Adam and Eve were cast out of paradise when they rebelled against the Spirit of God. In Christianity the Holy Spirit is supposed to be our conscience, convicting us and excusing us. The world we live in has some impact on what we're expected to do or understand. In the end God's Spirit will cover the earth like a flood - is God trying to bring us right back to the beginning - to paradise. As Christians we are commanded to discern the spirits, it's critical.

I really love your positive spin on all the stories. I am Catholic. But I find they miss the boat on interpretation 😢 I often am thrilled to find someone who thinks like me. Or we both were given the Same wisdom from God in our spiritual reading of the Torah.
We firmly believe salvation is from the Jews. Like Roy Shoemans book. If a DNA test shows we have Judah roots can we enter the Jewish community? Since I was very young everyone would say I was Jewish but my father was an athiest so I ingonored all these comments. People just constantly saying I thought you were Jewish. My mother also was told this her lifetime.
Buy we have no evidence of this or proof. I had no choice but to convert to Catholicism the closest thing. We have sacrifice, tabernacles, and more. There are modern American Jewish people here in America who always says you Catholics are more Jewish than we are. They stopped sacrifice tabernacles high priests.. someone enlightening me on the liberal Jewish community who is not pro life. I don't understand how they can vote for abortion

The concept of 'salvation' is yours not ours. Nothing to 'save' us from, except people.
I don't what Jews you're finding in the US though we don't talk about Catholics being more Jewish than us. It's an absurd concept, except for people who don't know their own history, Yiddishkeit or customs. (head shaking)

We mostly don't know which tribe we belong to except from tribe Levi. There is a long story to why it is this way today but I won't get into it now. We have a long tradition past on from father to son for thousands of years of those who belong to the tribe of Levi since even today when we unfortunately don't have the tample, the Cohanim and Levi'im have a significant part of our jewish life and individual parts for simply being to keep the tradition of their special position to the days of the Geulah Amen.

divine is not holy.. holy is an idea. a dangerous idea that respells unity in conscience. anything with a scoreboard is not sincere and therefor not holy. talking about nature is a batter bet. when we are sincere and want to be better in our experience of life we focus on our true nature and seek the divine.. we seek it and practice it. anyone that is thinking that there is somewhere better than this where you're going to relax and be happy for the rest of existence is wrong. this idea is not divine. it is not holy.. look at this story. chasing holy terns into a crime punishable by death.. how holy is that?? a man seeks position under the guise of experiencing holiness.. that's basic politics and has nothing to do with god... the commandments are simple enough. "do not covet".. in spirit and in life. what does this mean. it means that your nature is the key and reality is the door of possibility.. if you take your key and put it in the door of insincere ambition, then you will open the door to more suffering. but if you take your key and place it in the door of sincerity, you will open the door to less suffering and grace and with that your reality will touch and inspire sincerity in others and there fore creating, manifesting the divine in his reality. simply because we are acting in the spirit of his kindred nature within us. we can only be as holy as our true natures. special days special places special things (for whatever reason)... these are all idols that we made.. now before anyone screams "hypocrite"... think about it like this. god made us and gave us our nature and he even gave us text to come to know him and his nature, so we have some form of guidance into conscience... what is more holy than coming to know that divine nature, that holy and godly kinship within us all, its not to say we don't need teachers or leaders... but the idea of holy over here and unholy over there... that is an illusion and belief has stripped away the practical path to the divine and made everyone pious and turned everyone into a judge. because a system takes away from a nature... what system can we invent or should i say have we invented that has produced heaven on earth??? why is it that on the shoulders of conscience does everything function with grace? you're not going to find the answers with the idea of holiness, you're not going to get anywhere closer to being holy or even divine thinking like a judge, no you're going to be controlled very easily by the station of holiness and directed this way and that way with the burden of how the idea of holiness is supposed to be divine in this reality... and that is exactly what happened in this story..
