Thank you for the wrapping stream Chrissie. Bravo! I wish I’d thought to do a wrapping stream. I’m almost done with my wrapping. I mainly have stocking stuffers left.
That said I disagree with some of your tips. To each their own. My two cents.
Although I appreciate your suggestion to hide the tape for a cleaner look (the method taught at Emporium Capwell and Macy’s) I’m fine these days folding the paper in to help make clean lines and taping over and taping extra as needed to cover mistakes like rippling paper. Lol
Wrapping paper with grids on the back rock!
By the way, when you wrapped the books I think you might’ve been able to rotate them 90 degrees and used less paper. But not entirely sure.
I recommend working on an 8’ table or kitchen table so you can plan out any start 2 giftwraps at a time (esp when gift boxes are the same).
I have seen the tube paper cutters but from what I can tell they’re all designed for the small rolls. I buy the 150-200’ rolls when possible.
I avoid using the invisible tape on the individual dispensers because I find them a pain during one-handed wrapping moments.
Every time you said “toight “ I kept thinking of Goldmember from Austin Powers 3!
My wrapping skills are plenty good. But where it lacks I make up for it in ribboning it, often doing designs to make them shaped into crosses. For the season.
