Hi Manny, nice video. I grew up in U.C. in the '60's and obviously lots has changed. I remember spending lots of time at the park on the U.C. and Jersey City border. We called it First street park. I remember reading once, there were more Cubans in UC per square mile, than in all Havana! It was a great place to live and grow up. I haven't been back in some time so I love watching these videos. Thanks much.
Used to live right next door in Edgewater. My Auntie and Uncle lived in Union City for many years, and I have many good memories of walking up and down Bergenline and JFK
Back then it was Cuban dominated now it's more diverse with Puerto Ricans Dominicans central Americans and South Americans living here. And now there's more Muslims
Hi! I love your video of my hometown! Union City has come a long way since I lived there! You did a wonderful job it was fun growing up there in the 50's and 60's. I moved to North Bergen in the 70's. Now live in a different place in NJ, but Union City is still in my heart!
Great video Manny. Growing up in NY, never went to Jersey. I knew there were lots of small cities across the Hudson, but people in NY thought they must be boring. Your tours have shown me that they are very lively and urban.
Thanks for the trio down memory lane. Our first apartment was on 45th St. , Bergenline & last 6th St. Bergenline. Glad to see it is still thriving. Going to follow your lead & go visit for anither walk down Bergenline, 45 years later.
Awesome video Manny I'm From NYC but I live in NJ and Union City is a cool city.I know every block you were on out there I be in Union City a lot.I'm moving there soon or either Weehawken, or West New York.I love Hudson County.
Hey Manny! It was such a pleasure to meet you on the PATH train yesterday evening. I thoroughly enjoyed the video on Union City. Keep up the great work!
THANK YOU the town that I grow up, so different. ONE MORE TIME THANK YOU BROTHER FROM A OLD MAN. Probably never going to go back.THANK YOU-THANKS GOD BLESS YOU YOUNG MAN.
I’m so jealous you can place the mic right there. Mine gets distorted because I talk too loud. I think I need to lower it even lower for the SB. We need to explore more of Jersey. Such a cute area. It took us a day for our feet to recover after hanging out with you. We are glad you took us to so many cool places. Hey we know the PATH train 😀. That park you went to was nice. You are so lucky that black cat runs away from you.
Nice video, thanks =) I'm newcomer here, arrived for 3 weeks ago and the Union city (Washington Park area) is a my first starting point, my first location here.
