One of those bands that was ahead of its time and went down with the rest of drive thru records. If they were to come out now they could have easily toured with cosmos pyke or hers or demarco
one day I went to the drive-thru site back in 2000 and they were advertising "Blown away" as the backround music. Ordered the "For you, my dear" ep. This ep is so underrated. Too bad they will never play this song again, but thank you Steel Train (The REAL Steel Train, not this Fun singer bs) This is the ST I know and love. Thanks again for producing an amazing EP
First time i saw steel train was with saleem, and finch at the cotton club in atlanta 2002 i believe, def epic show...... and yall do know Fun. is the guy from the format, which i like way better than any fun. album
You know, between Nate from The Format, and Jack from Steel Train, fun could have been an awesome band. Their EP came out and it was decent, All the Pretty Girls was a really good one....too bad the album was a complete turn from that. Oh the things I would do to see either of those bands just one more time. R.I.P. fun...I hardly knew ya.
Sometimes its not about having the best sound quality, its about capturing the feel of the time.
Who else remembers this from the Drive Thru Records DVD comp? I still have mine!
Oh, wow, it’s 2023 and it has been more than a decade since i didn’t listen to this version. Felt the same as i used to 20 years ago. Beautiful!
The bass carries this song 😮💨😮💨😮💨
