Great video. Like how you explain things. Very thorough. Big difference in sound between the 10M and 30M. 10 is much brighter and edgier, better for playing more genres. Thanks for the comparison. Also, you're a great player! 👍🎷🎵
years ago I had a conn director that I really enjoyed would a 10 M connqueror have the same or close to the deepp sound I am trying to get back to music ??
Ive been playing conns for more than a decade now, had a few 10ms now have a 30m and i absolutely love it! I find the 30m much slicker with a more lush sound
That's exactly how I feel about them. I like the feel of them and the extra weight. They really are different than the 10M's, which I a little surprising since the body tubes are essentially the same!
Great video, always loved the Conn tenor sound, I prefer the sound of the 10M, and would love to get one. I currently play on a New Wonder II and I would like to know what your take is on modifying the keywork
Great Video!! Would love to see more of them. Thank you for making this. Can't wait to get out and see you and the The Flat Cats play in Chicago again. Have you done any work on Keilwerth SX90R horns? Mine hasn't been looked over in ages.
Thanks Kelly! Great to hear from you, I hope all is well! I’m hoping we’ll be playing again soon hopefully this spring. Yes, I’ve worked on quite a few Keilwerth’s. Let me know if you would like to set up an appointment!
I like the crunchy edge you get. i have used high baffle bergs on other brands of tenor. also do you do action setups? imo modern horns (except keilwerth) have too stiff action
I’ve just committed to a 30M (all original in every regard), and your video is spectacular in every regard. I currently own/play a 1927 Chu Tenor (I’ve actually got two), and play old Links or a 1945 Hollywood Dukoff 6. Can you please send me your contact details? Thanks!
Great comparison. Thanks for posting. I am a 10M player myself and love the sound. Never played a 30M though but would love to try one. What strapring adjuster do you have on the 30M?
The strap ring extension is something I fabricated out of steel. I rounded the corners, drilled two holes in th metal and mounted it with a nut and bolt. Its pretty basic but works great!
My 10 m is from 1960 and I love it! It plays better than my selmer series 2. Thanks for the review. My Conn does give me a lot of vibration and is lighter than my selmer. Need a new case though. Is there a good case for the left bell key conn's?
Brooooooooo im over here watching sax video and came across this!!! I had no idea you were doing YT vids. Keep up the great work my guy!
Very good presentation
dig the sound of the old horns..
Nice video--really helpful & interesting to see & hear side-by-side comparison of 10M and 30M. (I'm a 30M/26M player.)
Awesome stuff! Great information on the horns

Will do! I will be focusing on Conns for the first few videos
@@apsaxophonerepair8183 awesome!
I prefer the Conn 10M sound. My dream is to have one, but as I live in Russia, I can't find one here to buy anywhere. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for checking it out! I have a 10M for sale here if you're looking. I usually have some Conns for sale around here. Take care!

30M sounds much better to me, warmer
