How its the Old Dead Ringer?
@@bedi5604 Terrible, one Spy who knew where health and ammo packs could basically be invincible as a Spy could easily tank melee crits and replenish his Dead Ringer with an ammo pack. A Spy basically had no risk going in anywhere because the Dead Ringer was a get out of jail free card. A team could go on a wild goose chase against such a Spy and never kill him as he ran from one health/ammo pack to another.
The Kunai and old Ambassadors only made a tedious experience even more torturous to deal with

Lesson of the day : Do NOT stand in front of the spawn gate, if there is a soldier with a pickaxe near it.
Or be over a bridge/platform/whatever with a pickaxe soldier underneath it.
It’s a tradition to let others finish their taunt kill before you kill them yourself. A perfect example is shown on 2:23. Although the Engineer looks like he doesn’t even know what was happening anyways
And what is more satisfying about taunt kills is getting revenge on those that were dominating you 2:18 :)
The one last chance at revenge at the end of a round is so sweet when you get the player dominating you with that taunt kill

My best taunt kill was as Sniper. Here's the story:
It was defense on Upward. The cart was near the last point and we had a solid defense. I was a huntsman sniper, looking around for intruders.
I walked up the stairs to that hallway near the balcony. An enemy Kritz medic was charging a Direct Hit soldier who was shooting at the corner where there were usually sentry nests. They didn't see me. I lined up and headshot the medic point-blank. The soldier didn't notice. He just kept shooting. I got right behind him and thought 'I'm gonna do a taunt kill. So I did the taunt kill, and the soldier walked right into the arrow pull.
I was dying, laughing from disbelief that I managed to pull that off. I had to back away from my computer to process what happened. Two of my teammates saw it happen and called me out in chat. The medic I killed probably saw it happen too and shared his disbelief in chat.
I guess the soldier got auto-balanced after that because as I wanted to type my sheer bliss in chat, I got vote-kicked immediately. It was an abrupt end, but it f*cking beautiful. I wished I had it recorded.
Lesson:
Never trust in taunt kill, is like critical hit

Guess if there is a surface between the Soldier’s arm and his body (like a floor or a wall) then the Soldier isn’t killed. In this case the arm is in the door when the grenade goes off, but other examples include sticking it through the bottom of a bridge

I was playing Medieval and a demoknight got to me on the wall and tried to execute Huntsman sniper me with a taunt kill. I was on a battlement and shifted slightly right and he missed. I returned fire and "Stabby Stab'ed" him back
