That's actually really a bit sneaky of them. Not unlike some I actually thought the watch is identical to the Hruodland. But it actually is a very cheaply made rip-off with quite some unsightly finishing at the bracelet and besides an awkward looking gap between the end links and the bracelet. That watch is a no for me. Thank you James for this honest review!

@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR The timepiece vs price. Y now, there s a ton of fine watches under that US250...you destroyed the watch with your accurate comments...
Be careful when taking the bracelet off the Hruodland, the end links are not attached to the bracelet itself, I lost one end link down the side of my couch never to be seen again, rendering it useless. Cronos wanted $100 for a new bracelet so went aftermarket.
This is why I do all my adjustments on a table, using a tray with upturned edges. Yes you can still yeet a spring bar across the room but it's easier replacing them than end links or link pin collars. And a ton for a bracelet? Are Cronos having a laugh??
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR Yes. Most homages give more than the original. For example, better crystal, better lume, better bezel and bezel insert. This doesn't.
@@slab_practitioner i throw all my chinese watches on the pool for 24 hrs when i got them, the only failure was the cadisen "oak". Heimdallr, Steeldive, Addiesdive, Phylida, Cadisen, all flawless.
Is that even the correct bracelet for the watch? That mismatched curvature of the lugs & end links, and the jutting out of the (sharp) tips, would make me think it's made for a different watch.
Yes it is. But I think it justifies that pierce difference. Also for the price of the DUKA there are just better watches available, albeit not with this design.
As always a fair and well-produced review, not a fan of dive watches with a pop-out crown and no guard. I would also be very wary about purchasing from anyone that uploads fake pictures to a marketplace. At this price point, I would consider purchasing a discounted Steeldive...
Like I say "100% honest, no matter what". Yeah I'm with you on that one. I actually say that at the end of the video. I point to the two Steeldive watches in the watch roll.
Hi, Duka homage is close to the original am I right? But what about 100m wr it must be 200m wr. Hruodlan logo is more eye cathing according to Duka maybe put their logo to top to the Brand name. Do you think they're going to upgrade to 200m wr, good finishing, effective lumious one?

That's exactly why I had to do this video, to clear up the confusion, after the amount of different images they use on listing for this watch.
Definitely worlds apart they both are!!
Yeah absolutely. If they hadn't used the pictures of the Hruodland, it would have been ok. But I really don't like how sneaky they were about it.
The fact that there's a few good aspects of this watch makes it way more disappointing. Maybe they'll come out with a v2 one day
Yeah I know what you mean. Perhaps.
The play shark is a sweet hommage
Yeah they do look good as well. It was between that and the Hruodland when I was deciding.
Im gonna pull the trigger on that hudroland. Nice video.

Sorry to hear that. Can you not dig it out from the couch? It's got to be in there somewhere. Tip it up and removes the cushions etc.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR I know right, & I have tried, my couch has ate it, I have no idea where it went it’s maddening literally!

Yep
Looks terrible. A homage of a homage.
Odd isn't it?
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR Yes. Most homages give more than the original. For example, better crystal, better lume, better bezel and bezel insert. This doesn't.
Usual Aliexpress tricks coming out! I got the yellow and black but it doesn't seem to be as bad as this one
So the bracelet and clasp on yours aren't as bad then?
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR bracelet definitely rattles but the clasp is fine
I just got unlucky with that bit then I guess.
This is clearly too weak for 130€.
100% Especially with the likes of Steeldive etc out there.
Glad to see some reviews of less popular watches! Any plans on having a look at the cadisen diver?
I try to mix things up on the channel.
I might get around to it at some point.
I got one 1 year ago and i love it. The only issue is the bad lume. Model 8177 "Neptune Series".
@@felipegonzalez1509 cheers man, but I was actually talking about their aquaracer homage. I know cadisen makes good watches thats why I'm interested

Not a bad looking watch for the price

Who knows. It doesn't look great though, that's for sure.
Now think if this was solar... That would make it different, wouldn't it? But wtf am i asking, eh? NH35 till the sun (Epson...) goes down 😂😂😂
😆😆
A lot of difference in price though with the hruodland being three times the cost.

I almost bought this watch but noticed the bezel difference fortunately. Thanks for the comparison.

Looks like the looseness is related primarily with the female end link and male connector to threat of the bracelet.
Yeah that is a big part of it.

Still on the fence with this one.
The quality isn't great and the misleading marketing is kind of shady too.
Holy sunburst batman!
😆
Side by side with the Hruodland, the Hruodland looks miles better!
It really is. But you are paying quite a bit extra. In my opinion it's definitely worth the extra though. I actually bought that one too.
