There's not much you can do. Depending on the brand of mouse, where you got it from, and how long you've had it, I guess there's a chance you could contact the manufacturer and ask about buying a replacement dongle from somewhere. (I've never tried this, so don't know if it's actually possible, but it seems plausible.) But wireless mice with USB dongles don't actually use Bluetooth, they usually use a 2.4ghz wireless frequency, so without the correct dongle connected to them, they are pretty much useless.
Mouse was working then conked out, do you think it was the battery. It seemed to do this every time I did not use it for awhile now it is just not working or repairing.
@MissSilencedogood If you use the mouse every day, I probably wouldn't bother. But if you're going to go for maybe more than a week or two without using it, then yes, I would take out the battery and sit it next to the mouse.
Unfortunately I would say it's not going to work. Either the mouse is faulty, or an adapter you might be using is faulty, or the port on the Chromebook is faulty. Or the mouse might be incompatible with Chrome OS. I've never heard of a mouse that doesn't work with Chromebooks, but it could be a possibility.
@@techtimewithtimmy it's a Logitech I doubt it's not compatible. The usb port works with other devices, the mouse works fine with other devices. Nothing individually is faulty.
Um how to pair Bluetooth mouse with usb but my usb is missing how do I connect

It could be the battery, especially if it's double a. Those batteries can go flat just by sitting in a device, even if it isn't turned on.
@@techtimewithtimmy Ah thank you, wow so that means I have to take the batteries out every time. :/
