  • Following Knots Landing, a rare chance to see one of the BBC announcers in vision, in this case David Miles, and a short programme in between Knots Landing and Box Clever.

Awwww knots landing,, the show had gone unaired for nearly 3 years in the uk when the BBC decided to bring it back as part of its new daytime lineup. Although small it developed a very loyal audience who followed the show for many years to come and were quick to write to points of view when it went off the air for sporting events. Looking back knots landing was by far the best of the 1980s USA prime time soaps!

+lotuspoint Great to hear more history. Knots was my favorite primetime soap (and still holds up well today). I'm glad many in the UK felt the same way.

Completely agree with you. The Points of View campaign completely took the BBC by surprise who always thought of the show as a slot filler. Give them their due though, they ran the series consistently until the very end and even showed it in reruns.

Always wanted to see what David Miles looked like! Always remember his voice but never knew his name!

Notice Board must have been the early Points of View before Barry Took!

David Miles' face is too big for his head.
