Thanks for the review! I was considering picking either Edition XS or Ananda for traditional metal and it helped me out. Let's just hope it won't be too bright with Dragonfly Cobalt.
@@MadAudiofficial DF Cobalt is slightly mid-forward, helps the separation and flattens the higher frequencies. It sounded superb on HD650, so I'm wondering if it'll work so well with Ananda. Regarding Ananda though, did you test how does it react to EQ? Is it like other planars in that matter?
Hey, i know the video is a bit older but judging from the grill of the Ananda it is the V2 as only the V2/3 got the new one that stands out a little and has smaller cuts at the top and bottom.
Excellent review and comparisons of these headphones. Very helpful to choosing the 'best' one in a very subjective space. One question, is the XS/Ananda deeper than the Sundara or will large ears touch the drivers?
Hi, I don't know if you will ever read this or even notice this comment. I got an Edition XS paired with EF400 and I LOVE the sound it makes. It's my first purchase of HIFI audio system but I wonder what would be an upgrade from this headphones ? I read a lot about the HE1000 V2 Stealth or Focal Utopia, or even the Susvara, but I read comments sayings (and I will just ignore the "diminishing returns" thing) it's mostly for a preference thing. But the problem is, I can't easily go to a local shop and just "try it out" you know. Maybe you have experience or advices ? I am really loving wide soundstages and the ability to discriminate the different instruments. I really love vocals (feminine) and electronic music (with vocals as well) If you ever see this comment and decide to reply, huge thanks in advance. Cheers
I am really satisfied with the Arya Stealth if you like planar magnetic sound, i have also the Sennheiser HD800s, this 2 are definitely my favourites headphones!
I know I'm late, but how do you think the Edition XS compares to something like a focal elex, or a Meze 109 pro? The price of the Hifiman is tempting, but are the others mentioned in a league of their own? Are they worth the investment? Thanks so much, also great video!
In this case is never to late, Edition XS is a best buy in the retail price category, focal i test only Elegia, and Clear and i orefer this last one to Edition XS but is also more expensive.Meze 109 pro review is available on my channel!

In your opinion, is the ifi hip dac 2, a good way to power the edition xs?
@@bradhuskers, avoid iFi products like the PLAGUE!
There are no long vowels in "Sundara".

I never test the Dragonfly but Hifiman is absolutely not bright so..

LCD 2c or edition xs for sound quality??
Is it suitable with Astell&Kern SR25 MKII in terms of best matching?

Thank you, yes XS and Ananda are much deeper.
Thank you for your review. Do you recommend the xs over any Sennheiser 600 series?
Thx, please check the HD660S2 review on my channel, all info there!
another amazing video. Really entertaining and informative. Thank you!
Thank you very much 🙏
@@MadAudiofficial is it very close between the ananda and the edition xs?

Comfort is definitely subjective. I find the XS much more comfortable than the Ananda.
Absolutely, till you have hair:)
How much hair we talking? Because I have hair.
@AspectClip well i have no hair so maybe that's why i find the Ananda more comfortable!🤷🏾♂️
@@MadAudiofficial i can share some hair:) U still can use headband covers it helps to keep headband clean
@@TheNuare if hair sharing is working why not🤔
