I purchased this kit a couple of months ago, any questions I had, Kevin answered. This was the first time I’ve installed any type of exhaust and I did it in a day at a snails pace. It looks the best and sounds like a actual motorcycle. And on top of that, they gave me a discount for $200 off.
@@Jewnbug1 needed motivation to work some overtime at my job. Saving up to buy this exhaust is a good one. Be cool having the best sounding Sportster S in Colorado.
@mattstakeontheancients7594 totally worth it!! At first I was skeptical about price ... Than i heard this one and after hearing other 1500 and 2k systems that all sounded the exact same with basic straight pipes I immediately could say nothing else sounds remotely close
Weird question but what jacket are you wearing? Been looking for a new one and I wanna go with a brown this time, and something that fits a bit better. Looks like we have relatively similar builds
The brand is reax ! Can't remember name of jacket but it's a shirt/jacket rather than a full jacket so it's comfortable and protective but looks casual .
This is the best sounding exhaust ive heard on one of these and a good video showing it off too but and im not trying to be mean to anyone who likes these bikes but it just doesnt sound right i think the idle is too high or something im not really sure what it is but it sounds off maybe the cylinder angle is wider than the old 45 degree bikes im not sure but i think they sound terrible its a great bike by all accounts but it sounds more european than american and well thats not exactly a bad thing but its not really a good thing to me cheers and thank you for the great video
Yeah I looked into it and the new motor has a different v angle and a different firing order its a 60 degree v with a 90 degree firing order thats why it sounds so off to me like I said not bashing the bike I just dont like the sound it makes and no matter the exhaust I dont think you can really cover it up its off from a normal harley engine more akin to a ducati or a motoguzzi both of which I like just fine but not exactly the sound I expect or want from a harley
Just wish it had more twin rumble or thump. I love Ducatis. I love the MT-07. I love most Harley pushrods. But these just don’t have a sweet sounding twin.
No tune on the bike . Just slapped it on and sent it ! (No issuses for months) Shouldn't need a tune but I would prob get one as it does give the bike quite a bit more bite than it already has.
@Zack Evans I'm not sure what exhaust he had but I know on this one... I've yet to once ever feel like my leg is boiling. Granted it isn't summer here yet and has been pretty cool but I rode for about 2hrs and had multiple stops and not once did I ever feel remotely hot by my leg. The guy who made mine is going to start making heat shields for it as well in case people have sensitive skin lol
Dope. My only concern is heat as well and you answered that. I had a vnh custom exhaust on the vrod muscle... phbbt burned through everything! Boots leather pants fuckin heat wraps EVERYTHING! Cherry red at night and would shoot flames. She runs rich with a power commander so special situation but the heat is my only concern with aftermarket pipes on this bike. You recommend it seems
@Hood Lodo Jesus that's hot.. yeah this hasn't ever gotten that hot. Since summer is coming up it was about 80 a few days ago and I rode and for the first time it was definitely much hotter but still not to the point where it bothered me ..just enough to make me go I should probably watch it a tad bit closer lol . But with a heat shield the tiny one that only needs to go on a spot that's about 3inches long and I doubt I'd have any issues in peak summer heat
I've mentioned to him it could be a bit more reasonable ... but to his defense...everything else is a basic straight pipe ... with subpar stainless steel and no character or sound and over 1600$
Well yes...totally different motor . Not even remotely the same. The sporster s is a sports bike oriented motor more in line with what ducatti and other manufactures have..being liquid cooled etc
@@Jewnbug1 indeed. But it doesn’t ride like a sportsbike. More like a drag race car haha. I test drove one and didn’t get the feels. Had a street triple RS before.

Keep in mind its a fully custom exhaust, ats not a autozone special. Is it a lot, yes. But it sounds way better than any other exhausts out there for a Sportster S.
Sportster S line is made in the USA. The only bike HD makes in China is a training bike not for retail purchase. They also partially assemble in India and Brazil. But nothing that you see on the road is from China.

the exhaust really fits the look of the bike. Nice choice
