I love hearing stories about Kid Antrim. I am from his stomping grounds, I've always felt a deep connection , hiking through out the wilds of the south east NM area and it's Erie calmness.
Hijinio (Yginio) Salazar (Regulator and close friend) Billy the Kid was the bravest man I ever knew. Everyone who knew him loved him. He was kind and good to poor people, and he was always a gentleman, no matter where he was. When in danger, he was the coolest man I ever saw- he acted like a flash from a gun. He was quick as kitten and when he aimed his pistol and fired, something dropped; he never missed his mark.
Billy the Kid is an excellent example of what can happen to boys who have no father, or father-figure in their life, and also illustrates why fathers are so vitally important.
@@lancegardner8560 - That is a pretty bold claim, considering you do not even know me. I'm not saying Billy didn't have to grow up fast, due to the circumstances of his life. My point is, if he had had a father in his life, or a stable father-figure who had actually taken an interest in him, maybe Billy's life would've turned out differently. Maybe he would've never turned to crime, and maybe never have allegedly died at such a young age.
Is that something you picked up from tucks Carlson perhaps? Maybe Jessie waters? Jd Vance? It’s a well regurgitated right wing talking point is what I’m trying to say.
Hi Chris. I was just wondering of you have been following the new series of Bille the Kid? And if so what is your take on it? Love all your hard work. Have watched every single episode you have put out. Keep em comin!

The horse he rode off on, as well as the horse he rode off on after his great escape, came back two days later. Billy returned the horses. He didn't steal wantonly.
@Melissa Faye He stole it to sell in pieces to make money. It wasn't for no reason like a klepto. I think we're saying the same thing. 🙂 I recently read that the horse he escaped on after shooting Cahill didn't just wander back on its own. Forget the guy's name, but a guy rode in bringing the horse and returned it to the owner saying that "the Kid asked asked me to bring your horse back to you." Billy didn't do anything he didn't feel was necessary. I love the guy.
I like this content, but a year or so ago there was a Female lawyer, who wore coyboy boots who was a Billy the Kid expert, had a You Tube channel, but I can't seem to find her content now. Anyone?
Henry McCarty, William Antrim and William Bonney. Never heard of Henry Antrim used by The Kid. His real name was Henry McCarty. He was born in New York. I've studied this from when I was 10 to the present. Kids always called me Billy The Kid on the playground. I had a black western outfit with Billy The Kid on the buttons. Seen every Billy The Kid movie made. Other " experts" on The Kid never mention " Kid Antrim".
You are right, Wes. When I was a child, everybody said he was William Bonney. A part of me never bought that story. The truth is that Billy had several aliases and the fact of the matter remains he was very young: dead before he was 26. Antrim was the name of his stepfather, the man who abandoned him and his brother when Billy was only 14...right after Billy's mother died. Nice guy, really. It seems to me like all Billy did was tack on his stepfather's name to throw off the sheriff.
Windy Cahill bullied Billy mercilessly --- pushing him, knocking him down, smacking his face, and verbal abuse. When they finally got into it, Cahill had him pinned down with his knees on Billy's shoulders and was smacking his face, basically kicking his ass in front of everyone. Billy managed to get to his pistol and shot him. And then ran like hell.
What really happened to Billy the Kid... He was shot by an unknown assailant in a gunfight who told Pat Garrett who then tried to take credit for it by fabricating & staging his own version on an innocent victim!
Old Henry is a great movie.
This is the greatest series of all time. There is nothing I love more than learning about The Old American West and above all, The Kid.

He's an example of a man. And he was a man. Probably more man than you.

Billy the Kid's name was Henry McCarty. Antrim was his step-father's name, which Henry would sometimes use as an alias

The 2 dislikes on this video. Reletives of Brushy Bill.
Or Pat Garrett
Brusy Bill was definitely Billy the Kid.

Gale Cooper... Although I don't endorse her in any way. Mean people suck
Some people just are limber
How many kids did Billy the kid have?
Billy never saw NY, he was born in Texas died in Texas
I love Billy the Kid history, I think the story on how he was killed is incorrect though!
Was self defense a crime back then also? Kayhill on top of you kicking your ass does not justify self defence?

Read the letters he wrote to Governor Lew Wallace! He writes that he is called Kid Antrim!
I HAVE TO KNOW… did you see Billy the Kid vs Dracula?

Did Billy the kid have any children?
So he had a brother. What about Billy. Any marriages? Any children? Just curious.
No marriage................... possibly his woman in Ft Sumner was pregnant when he died.
I wrote a song about Billy the Kid
That fellow he gut shot at the card game wasn't that self defense, just wondering I've never heard full story only younguns.
