  • Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood says the markets are suggesting inflation is “not going down” and is “rising”.
Australia’s quarterly inflation figures will be released on Wednesday.
“The markets right now are suggesting that inflation is not going down, as was broadly predicted by the government … but, in fact, is going the other way - is rising during this period,” Mr Greenwood told Sky News Australia.
“That’s the reason why the narrow path that the Reserve Bank talks about is really one of these big issues.”

The government uses inflation/economic growth/national debt as being all interlinked... if economic growth outpaces inflation then the national debt shrinks (effectively) but when economic growth stagnates or indeed slides into recession, any inflation means the national debt grows (effectively); that's why things seem so bad now, the gap between economic growth (-%) and inflation (a few percent) means a ~10% gap. Which is sizable in a multi-trillion dollar economy.

If you give unionized workforce a 4% pay rise without mentioning anything about increasing the productivity, how can you bring the inflation to under 3%? ...this effectively gives you a $52 pay rise per week, but your cost of living went up $150 per week due to higher inflation caused high interest rate...not to mention this Labor Gov's billions $ wasteful spending and its stupid renewable energy policies!
Now, no one can afford anything in this country!
Thanks to those Labor voters, the whole country suffer with you!

I live in Kansas and I am quite concerned about my govt spending way too much on everything. The USD is apparently the "cleanest dirty shirt" but the shirt is still filthy.
Cannot believe any of the "stats" or "numbers" anymore. My belief is in silver and gold.

Who would have thought giving themselves big pay increases. Aged care 15%, CFMEU increasing by 25% over 5 years, stage 3 tax cuts, spread to lower earners again. Significant pay increases to public servants, cola payments for government employees, $300 federal and $1000 bribes to just buy votes. Increased spending on native title, green fantasies etc. increased taxes, saturated monopolies in food, alcohol, hardware, banking etc. want the prices to go down beside a product in the supermarket, new labels that show the profit margin of the company you are purchasing from.😂

Who is in control of Australian economy…???…is it Australian government or is it some other invisible entity who’s running this once very desirable country…?…all Australians should be a part of the wealth sharing not just the “privileged” few…we could be living in luxury but it is the opposite 😢

Maybe Australia can subsidise the energy sources like petrol, regulate foreign investment and foreigners coming into Australia, have more state owned companies that are able to offer subsidies, focus on not making real state as profitable to push people to invest in other areas. I think Australia is becoming a country of slaves with so many expenses people have to endure. It is easier to have your own house living overseas and improving your quality of life.

Moderate Import Tariffs reduces Inflation in Australia 🇦🇺.
The Australian Trade doesn't get with the International Competitiveness as they don't have the Right Support for the Markets.
When the Markets are Hot the Australian Trade doesn't have the Right Demand for Supply as the things would endup in Excesses but when the Economy is cooled then the Cleanup of Inventories do begin.
Then after the Labor Demand Comes into Picture.
Australia 🇦🇺 got no option except to go with the AI-Robotics and the Data Driven Service Industry.
