After buying a wrecked Lamborghini Revuelto i had to rebuild it and get it back on the road, but as no one has ever rebuilt one before it was a huge learning curve, even for Lamborghini themselves. To get the car to start we needed to buy an entire new hybrid battery but even then Lamborghini were unable to code the battery to the car properly. Now is my last chance to get theRevuelto running for good before i drive it the entire length of Italy.

Years ago I watched one of Mat's first videos. I showed it to my son Luke Kerry who responded by saying "oh I know him he rides BMX with us at Leicester he is a cool guy". Moving forward to today, since the demise of the Top Gear team of Jeremy, James and Richard you guys have been the only ones providing us with UK based car content. Thank you.

As an American I gotta say the English car RUclipsrs are great ! I don't wrench on cars and couldn't watch someone do it but Mat drew me into the channel. I enjoy the filming style and the light heartedness of the channel.Also for me it's the relationship with his dad and friends. Dad and son bonding over a shared passion and then bringing his best friends along for the ride is just the best. I look forward to all the future videos.

Been watching Mat's channel for a long time now, and I've decided he might be a genius. The way these episodes are stiched together is brilliant. You really see how those early lessons and long history shooting footage for BMX have come to play in the channel. Probably a lesson in spinning skills from the past into your future. Every episode has all the storytelling cues and elements to make it sticky with audiences - the family element, the building to a climax every 10 or 15 minutes, the sensation of kindness and generosity in sharing of success, the shenanigans with the supporting cast, and always a review of the humble beginnings in the driveway to remind everyone and hook in new people. Plus there's the general enthusiasm and joy that mat exudes on camera. It's amazing.

I agree with the closing statement of the video. Only I think the car manufacturers are overengineering their cars on purpose, because like Mat mentioned several times before with how complicated cars like the Revuelto get the harder it is for "regular people" to fix them on their own, even simple issues. So what you need to do is to take the car to the dealership and pay them to fix whatever needs fixing or can be fixed, but at the same time they can turn around and say it can't be fixed and try and sell you a new car. Either way this means more money for car manufacturers.
But this is not only happening with cars. It's happening across the board with pretty much everything we use on a daily basis. Like smartphones, laptops, even refrigerators or vacuum cleaners. These things are not manufactured to last like in the old days, and they are also not manufactured with repeatability in mind. If something breaks now you just toss it aside and buy a new one. Again more money for these big brands.
And in the end it's us as consumers that get screwed.

@crisfiler6128 You would imagine wrong. There's a reason Ferrari aren't a volume brand: then everything would have to work properly. It's why Ferrari opted to not build a 5 door saloon in the 80s, because they'd have to become reliable enough for daily driving. Lamborghini are in the same boat, only they've got the luxury of having Audi as a parent company. They can make the supercars and hypercars they want, and then rely on the Urus to get the money flowing. These cars were made for the experience of too much power, not for daily driving, and they know that. As soon as they start building them in huge numbers, they become normal cars, and the brand needs to be accountable.

Some personal takeaways from the video:
1. Dude, you are living the life most of us can only dream of, and you absolutely deserve it! Hats off to you!
2. If there were any animals on those trailers in the tunnel, they must've gotten an absolute heartattack from the Revuelto, so that's probably the only no bueno from my side.
3. I know, Mat is very much attached to all his cars and has a heavy heart each time he has to let one go. But seeing the story of the Revuelto so far, if I was him, that would be the first car I would actively want to get rid of 😅
4. The roadtrip, the friends, the camaraderie...that was pure magic! ❤

@Scyllx Yep, you should never assume that there won't be something over on your side of the road on roads like that one. Or even someone broken down in your lane.
An O2 sensor eliminator (moves downstream O2 sensor out of the direct flow of exhaust) has fixed all ecu issues on every car I’ve installed them on.. From VW to Mustangs to Silverados. And if that didn’t do it, there are mini cat simulator plugs you can install between bung and O2 sensor. No need for a tune 😎
there was an exhaust shop I went to that would use steel wool to block the O2 sensors from throwing codes on catless cars
Temporary solution, older cars, low catalyst effeciency but cat still there is okay. Even ones equipped with little catalyst. However newer cars calculate how heat rises in exhaust and in catalyst, DPF/OPF and most likely exhaust back pressure, sometimes NOX sensor so it's much more complicated than that. With eliminator you can achieve no codes but still low on power and not optimal performance even exhaust is flowing better because it's out of the ecu expectation. On the longer way tune is the way to go, just need someone able to do it here.
