    2023 Rushing Yards
    Howard - 350
    Avery - 300
    Ward - 650
    Giddens - 1,225
    Total = 2,525
I think there's more production than you guys are considering.
    My 2024 Projections
    Avery - 650
    Giddens - 1,200
    Edwards - 600
There's no point in guessing how many yards the 3rd back will get because we don't know who that is and even if we did they will get minimal touches being behind Giddens and Edwards.

Can we get real for a minute about what this team is actually capable of. This team is going to destroy most of its opponents, including Jokelahoma State and that gigantic poser that didn’t beat anyone with an actual pulse last season, West Virginia. DJ’s getting 1500 all purpose yards in the first 12 games (and they’ll play 14 at minimum). That’s being realistic and not stupidly pessimistic for no logical reason. Edwards is easily getting 1000 all-purpose yards in just the first 12. Avery is going to throw about 2,500 yards in the first 12 of 14+ games and run for another 500, and that’s being conservative. The defense is going to get off the field, and the offense is going to rack up yards and points the way KU racks up Porta-potty mileage.

I think you are drastically underselling DJ Giddens.
Last season DJ Giddens ran for over 1200 yards and 5.5 ypc. Giddens got better as the season progressed and finished the year with 4 consecutive 100 yard games. Treshaun Ward was the backup last year he had 643 rushing yards and averaged 5.2 ypc. Ward was not a slouch. He was a DUDE that ran for over 1100 yards in his career at FSU and averaged over 6.5 ypc. For comparison Edwards had 321 yards last season at CU and only averaged 4.2 ypc. Anybody making a case that Dylan is a better runner than Ward is doing it solely based on HYPE and projection.
I will be surprised if Giddens sees fewer than 20 carries per game this season. Assuming we play 13 games that is 260 carries. If he gets that kind of workload he should have around 1400 rushing yards. I think that is entirely realistic.
Edwards will still have a role. 8 carries per game seems realistic. That would likely place him around 500 yards rushing. He will get additional touches in receiving and returns.
That split would be very similar to Vaughn/Giddens in 2022. DJ is that type of lead back.

It's going to be 🧨🎇 on offense. Easily the best backfield in the nation all from KS! Weapons galore with AJ- 4.28- fastest on the team and can make every throw, off platform, every angle & poised like no other Soph. Giddens and Edwards compliment each other so well & JJ is a smooth customer too. Edwards will bring us back to having a SPECIAL teams in KOR & PR (with the new ST analyst). One area we've been getting beat in the Klieman era-special teams have been bad. You don't have to spend 1/2 of all practice time on ST like Coach Snyder to make sure Sean looked good but it's the 1/3 area we need to improve on the most. Keagan, Jayce, Jackson, Spivey, Lockett- deep). Keeping the catching TEU going after Sinnott-with Oak, Will & Metzger. OL is more athletic and quicker than last years but with less experience. CKlein was a masterful OC/ play caller but struggled some against man & 2 man- watch the first half of the TX game last year. It wasn't until we were down by 3 scores that TX got out of their man and started playing soft zone to our advantage that we started passing and moving the ball. If Will wouldn't have blown his read on that 4th down starring down Sinnott like he was in man coverage and not looking off him at all when they were in a soft zone. It was a bad call/ read and Howard should have checked out of or CK should have called a play that works going in for both man & zone. CK is the man but his player rotation especially at WR was way too limited. He only played 3 WR's the entire season basically. He wanted to make sure the WR's wouldn't bust his play calls and he could count on them every snap but you can't have that much talent on the bench. Overall, I think Klieman is too much for playing too many guys and taking the best players off the field with rotations and CK tried to correct that but over corrected at WR. The biggest question for me is the play calling. I think Klieman has to give Riles first crack but I'm not the biggest fan of coaches that only played and coached the OL as an the play calling OC (Big Red Reid at KC was a masterful OC coaching QB Favre & calling plays with the Packers and a head coach heavily involved with the QB's play calling at Missouri when we played them b4 someone goes off on this take). Personally, Wells has so much more experience and his philosophy fits our weapons to utilize them the best IMO. Hopefully they make a fit and balance each other out. Anyone know if Riles or Wells will be in the Box/ sidelines yet for games? That will tell us. I think both should be up there. It's such a different game and advantage being able to see coverages & blitzes right away and make calls then on the sidelines. The mic in the headset won't really help us much, we'll still signal the plays from the sidelines. Let's pray that college doesn't follow the NFL with the hideous KO rule next season & take away one of our best weapons at K- State historically in the Snyder era mostly but especially with Edwards now. Think of all the dynamic KOR's we've had. In the NFL, it's now more like a glorified 3rd and really long, running a draw running play with everyone within 25 yards. Mike Ekler would be thoroughly disappointed even though they took away busting the wedge like he did so well a long time ago. He knocked himself out b4 a game hitting his head pregame on one of the wooden signs on the sideline trying to pump himself up. Dude was a warrior and his pet Piranha fish 🐠 too

Brother Quinshon Judkins and Treveon Henderson play on the same backfield.

@@EMAWCaleb They are two similar kind of backs. When referring to backfield I'm talking QB, a downhill RB & a speed RB.

So hinder talent on the field to get revenge on a 19 year old that chose to play for a life long family friend? You might want to re think your anger toward a kid. You need to do some growing up yourself.

@@thekrakenguy6962 Oh yeah you’re right. A kid who committed to a school then decomitted, re-committed to a school that has trash talked K-State, then decommits from that school, then commits to a rival of K-State’s. And because he wasn’t talented enough to be the starter, transfers back to the school he originally committed to, expecting to be gifted the starting position because he’s best pals with the QB. If you ask me, Edwards is another athlete who’s all hype, but no game. He’s the only one I think is worthless on the ENTIRE team

Dude, you have to check yourself if you seriously don't think we shouldn't utilize them both! You never made a bad decision straight out of high school. At least he played on national TV his first game & tore up TCU (it's just that no RB could run through that CO OL or QB throwing-duck & chuck). TCU thought they could play man coverage with CO spread out with a LB on DE. B4 the snap, I was screaming, check it to DE with all that open space. That's exactly what they schemed up! DE ran an out route to the flat was wide ass open against a TCU LB & toke it 50 to the house. To his credit, he immediately realized his mistake as soon as he did & is where he belongs. Trust me, you will be rewarded indeed by DE & change your tune! Dude is one of the best players I've ever seen on film and in person in high school. The it Makes Manhattan High winning the State championship two years ago and beating Derby and DE 2x even more impressive! They could fly on defense. How in the world they didn't have one player go D1 after a 13-0 state championship season baffles me to this day. The MLB was a heat seeking missile tackling machine and the Safety who is the coaches son can ball too. His JR season was much better on film. He was hurt a lot of his SR year and didn't show his worth.

@@Justfootballloving you are an adult seething in comments over a game and a kids decision making. You’re embarrassing yourself and other Cat fans. Clearly you’ll never see the error of your ways like Dillon has, it’s funny that he’s grown more as a person in a year than you have in your entire life. I sure hope you never work with kids if this is how you react.
