It becomes easy and natural for those who really try, though. history. She came to international attention with these competition performances for children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Its her contralto range that marks her as different.. but shes been working to push her voice back up into her upper range with power..
She is naturally able to produce
HER sound.... very experienced singers and vocal coaches have pointed out that she can create extra half and even full tones ..
She learned to yodel and can flick switch or slide perfectly from one extreme to another.
Follow up on her work and try to go via her channels ..these same performances on the TV channel appear there but should be her copyright and have better subtitles if shes singing in Russian or one of 4 other languages.
Shes 18 now and has just taken on her first adult competition show and is set to release her first album .... all whilst still studying..

Diana's first name is pronounced Dee-AHN-ah.
Diana's last name is really difficult for most non-Russian speakers because of that accent on the third syllable - as well as the mistaken tendency to end her name like an exploding star (or a model of Chevy car). It becomes easy and natural for those who really try, though.
I've found it easier to begin saying "Ankudinova" as if it were two words: "Ahn-koo DEEN-ah-vah" or "Anku DEENava" Once you get into the rhythm of accenting that third syllable, then you can go back to saying Ankudinova as one word. Note that the "o" in her name is pronounced more like "ah". The "o" in her name is something that very few of us English-speakers get right.
