hi victoria! you probably wont see this, but my sister had a hamster called eleanor roughly 4 years ago, she had really bad care and she got so bored of having a hamster that all she did was throw a handfull of food in her cage each morning. thankfully my sister let me have her in 2021 and i spent hours watching all of your hamster care videos so i could give her a better life and get her out of the state my sister left her in. my care wasnt perfect as i was only 11 or 12 at the time and i didnt have my own money, but it wasnt awful. my sister never really tried to gain her trust, but i managed to get her to trust me enough so i could hold her! she sadly passed in september 2021, but because of you i managed to give her a happier life for the few months she had left. i simply cannot thank you enough, you really helped me save eleanors life. thank you for everything you do 😊🩷
Penny is so calm being put into a new enclosure with new smells! Had to change out all of my hamster’s bedding recently due to mites, and as soon as he was back in the enclosure he immediately darted into his chamber hide and it took a week for him to be comfortable again. So impressed with your new cage!

Hey Victoria, currently my hamster is dying unfortunately, he’s been living for three years now. Even though I’ve had 3 hamsters in the passed that have lived till 4, so their max years. It’s still so hard for me, and just knowing that he is slowly dying and there is nothing else I can do, hurts me so much. I just wanna say thank you for putting out such great information. I rescued my baby girl Walnut 2 and a half years ago from a tiny pet store plastic cage. She was thin, malnourished and timid. Your videos helped me care for her properly and help her grow out of her shell. I followed a similar design to one of your cages to give her the best life possible. She passed away last night due to organ failure 💔 thank you for helping me and other through my journey. I hope to rescue more hams in the future and give them lives like this where they can thrive💜💜💜 All the love in the world -Willow💜

I have owned 3 hamsters and since the passing of my girl Penelope last week, I’ve decided not to own hamsters anymore in the near future, my heart can’t handle the losses. This being said, understanding how many folks where i live are not aware of how to properly keep a hamster, I will be giving away my aquarium enclosure and accessories to someone with a less ideal enclosure. My goal is to provide someone who maybe didn’t know how to properly provide for their hamster with a great space and hopefully some great information as well. Hello Victoria! I’m a new Syrian hamster owner, and your videos have saved my life. Thank you for sharing all this it definitely makes it so much easier for people like me that have no idea how to care for these precious creatures 😂. I do have a question though, how often do you clean/change the bedding on this big closure? Some people say weekly but that’s a lot of bedding it would not only make a whole on my pocket but I think that’s a lot of work and time consuming. How often would you suggest changing the bedding for a 40x20 inches closure with bedding 7 to 10” high?
heyy, I know i'm late but i,d recommend never fully changing the bedding! spot cleaning every 1-2 days is necessary but honestly at most take 1/3 of the bedding out each month and replace it. hope this helps xx

I remember when I was little I wached your videos all the time ,so I was inspired to get a dwarf hamster, but unfortunately I wasn't experienced and my parents bought a tiny tales cage and had one inch of bedding, but then I watched your vid on how to properly take care of a hamster and begged my dad to build a bin cage,and after we immediately bought more bedding and I remember I shoved a bunch of bedding on one side for it to burrow .But a year later it saddly died.rip princess. Amazing, I can already tell that penny enjoys every single corner of it. He approves, ans he got the best home ever. The way he stretch on the wheel is the same as my syrian, I love looking at them stretching and yawning too 😍 ❤

@@VictoriaRaechel thanks! It’s okay, he was in pain and had diarrhea (suddenly). I asked my mom to book an appointment with the vet to put him down. He was very sick, but the morning before his appointment you passed away. I’m glad he is not in pain anymore.
I regret not putting him down sooner. I didn’t bc I was wanting to find the cheapest vet. I have to pay for all my animals vet/care/food so I just didn’t know the right way to go about it. But it’s over now. The funny thing is, is that I held him on last time(he didn’t like to be held) and he but me 😂 I was like ok, fine. I’ll let you pass in peace mr, Crazy. Anyways that’s weird that I told you all that but, lol I’m just so excited you reply to me 😁
After you have had a pet or type of pet for a while everything they eat, sleep, play with and use just grows on you. What I mean by that is if I get a new bag of hay for my bunnies I would look at it and I think “man this looks so good I want to eat it” or if you set something up like Victoria did you think “ wow I just want to live there, ooo seeds” *climbs in*
Recommendation you could add a latter at the dig box going to the hamster wheel platform it looks kinda steep right there and so he could more easily get to the wheel
Hey Victoria, I recently had one of my hamsters pass and I might get another but i wonder if my cage is good enough. It is a wired cage which seems bad but it is 16.5 inch x 30.3 inch x 18.5 inch with 6 inches of bedding available. I am currently using a guinea pig cage as a hamster cage. I know I’m a bit late to this, but in some of her videos she recommends 800 inches of floor space (40x20 in). Your hamster cage is either 499 in (16.5x30.3) or 560.55 (18.5x16.5)-both meet the US requirement of 420 sq inches. Hope this helps 🫶

I remember when I was little I wached your videos all the time ,so I was inspired to get a dwarf hamster, but unfortunately I wasn't experienced and my parents bought a tiny tales cage and had one inch of bedding, but then I watched your vid on how to properly take care of a hamster and begged my dad to build a bin cage,and after we immediately bought more bedding and I remember I shoved a bunch of bedding on one side for it to burrow .But a year later it saddly died.rip princess.

Hey Victoria! I just wanted to say thank you for everything you do! I used to have a dwarf hamster named cocoa but she passed about 2 years ago. Recently I have been wanting another one and I’m thinking about getting a Syrian!! I just wanted to say thank you because I know a lot of little hamster would be super depress with out you. Anyways I am going to set up a 75 gallon tank for my new lil hammy!

was so excited for this vid! i love plues acc its so cool she could take part in it! i guessed 5 bags right too, hamster owner intuition 😉. Im upgrading from my linmon to a 122cm by 50 by 50 tank and im super excited to set it up! ik its not a huge upgrade from linmon but i needed more space for enrichment as my male syrian is sadly trying to chew his way out 😳

@@VictoriaRaechel thanks! It’s okay, he was in pain and had diarrhea (suddenly). I asked my mom to book an appointment with the vet to put him down. He was very sick, but the morning before his appointment you passed away. I’m glad he is not in pain anymore.
I regret not putting him down sooner. I didn’t bc I was wanting to find the cheapest vet. I have to pay for all my animals vet/care/food so I just didn’t know the right way to go about it. But it’s over now. The funny thing is, is that I held him on last time(he didn’t like to be held) and he but me 😂 I was like ok, fine. I’ll let you pass in peace mr, Crazy. Anyways that’s weird that I told you all that but, lol I’m just so excited you reply to me 😁

After you have had a pet or type of pet for a while everything they eat, sleep, play with and use just grows on you. What I mean by that is if I get a new bag of hay for my bunnies I would look at it and I think “man this looks so good I want to eat it” or if you set something up like Victoria did you think “ wow I just want to live there, ooo seeds” *climbs in*
If I was a hamster, I’d love to live in this enclosure 😍 Penny must be so happy to have you.

Recommendation you could add a latter at the dig box going to the hamster wheel platform it looks kinda steep right there and so he could more easily get to the wheel
I considered it but the ladders all were pretty steep so it wouldn't change that aspect.

Hey Victoria, I recently had one of my hamsters pass and I might get another but i wonder if my cage is good enough. It is a wired cage which seems bad but it is 16.5 inch x 30.3 inch x 18.5 inch with 6 inches of bedding available. I am currently using a guinea pig cage as a hamster cage. Thank you if you read this! 😊🥰❤️
I know I’m a bit late to this, but in some of her videos she recommends 800 inches of floor space (40x20 in). Your hamster cage is either 499 in (16.5x30.3) or 560.55 (18.5x16.5)-both meet the US requirement of 420 sq inches. Hope this helps 🫶
