K L I agree with Vero. The pedal has a standard 110 V American style plug with two flat prongs. S Korea uses 220 V so he really needed a 220 V to 110 V transformer (aka voltage converter), which is what he asked for. The thing he was handed by his manager was just a plug adapter to match the two round pins plugs use in S Korea. The effects pedal started to fry because the components were receiving twice the amount of electrical juice they were designed for. He should have known better but was probably too trusting of his manager and so excited to try it that he didn't think it through. He'll probably have to replace some simple electrical parts but it should be repairable.
