    We sincerely thank the veterans who sacrificed themselves in the Korean War. South Korea was able to defend freedom and democracy through the sacrifice and dedication of its heroes. South Korea will continue to work to uphold freedom and democracy.

    We must always assess what has happened, what is happening oh, and what is likely to happen! That being said, what kind of faith can we have in our leaders, during a war, when they repeatedly make us achieve certain goals and then pull back from those goals and allow the enemy to retake them, and force us to lose so many lives and be disheartened as the rest of us give our all to retake what we already had?! Why are those that make the commands not on the front lines in front of those that they Direct??????

      I was stationed at Suwon Air Base long after the war; a few months before I arrived there the Korean base commander shot and killed a maintenance crew chief on the flight line. The latter was responsible for a fatal crash and that was his "punishment." Just had to impart that story, sorry to digress on your query.

    Greatly overshadowed by the 2nd world war , the Korien war picks up where General Patton new we where heading with the communist ideology. The Korean War showed that the UN would take a stand regardless the cost. And made the Communist ask themselves what price are we willing to pay

    • @richardbowers3647
      @richardbowers3647 3 года назад

      Yes, yes!!! The UN kept the US completely out of that mess, except for their war material & US troops to fight that Korean War.

      Well the major problem I have with what your saying is this. It was a renegade American general that was the root cause for the prolonged and costly war. The mad hatter im referring to is General MacArthur the a-hole who was told to stop, then had to be ordered to land his plan first because he was trying to be more dominant than Truman this led the narcissist to an early and dishonorable retirement imma go down in history as a wannabe dictator

      @@billfix1150 More than that, McArthur had done two other things: One, completely misjudged China's will to defend North Korea (and unite the peninsula themselves if needed), and two, he ran his mouth in a way that was seen as provoking the Soviets to possibly intervene as well ("Would you shut up before you get us all killed" was essentially Washington's response to him). Add in Truman's foolish handling of the military pre-1950, and it's an absolute miracle we saved South Korea at all (much more so that we actually expanded their territory).General Matthew Ridgway literally saved the entire Korean campaign. There's a reason he later was made leader of NATO and then Chief of the Army by Eisenhower.

      Also unlike the South Vietnamese, South Koreans where dedicated not to become in slaved by another foreign government. Inspiring how the S. Koreans hornier all who died for them by being free still to this day. As for General MacArthur never has one man taken some much credit for things they had not accomplished. I believe given the chance he would declare him self ruler of the USA.

      @@thunderbird1921 you should be the general at that time. You knew a lot by criticizing the person who works hard to free the nation from communism. Your A-hole.

    그저 보기만 해도 미국 군인 선배님들 고맙지요. 나의 태생의 빌미를 주신 분들인데. 감사합니다. 코로나 초기에. 선배님들 생떼에 어찌할 수 없었던 순간도 있었어요. 오늘 바이든 대장이 승리를 펴명하였는데. 제가 뭐 말하기는 어려워도 화를 내지 말고. 같이 함께 재미있게 살아가야지요. 선배님들이 시민들을 설득해 보세요. 그 말은 들을거에오. 그러고 재미나게. 코로나 아무리 쎄도. 전 시민 다 검사하고 대응하면 돼요. 적어도 그렇게 하면 이기는 바이러스 있겠어요. 물량 지금쯤이면 생산 가능해요. 한마디로 코로나 저를 호구로 알은거지. 한심한 바이러스에요. 재물 아니에요 마음이 진짜이지요. 유대인들 혼났어요. 그들도 얼마나 무서우면. 돈만 쥐었겠어요. 탓하지 마시고. 동생들 잘 보아주세요. 하하. 정말 고맙습니다. 아마 운송비가 공급하는 시약 물질들 값보다 비쌀겅에요. 완전 역전 이도 재미있지 않아요. 하하.

    200 years ago, China used to be the strongest and biggest nation(economically and militarily) in the world with the biggest land area over 15 millions sq km of land (such area was even bigger the size of the then TSAR Russia ,USA and Canada), China has lost 5 millions sq km of land to western countries since 1840. Now many Chinese citizens are Proud to be Chinese in these dates after nearly 200 years of constant foreign invasions during the past period since Opium war 1840 with British when Chinese Govt confiscated all imported narcotics such as opium smuggled by British and European Merchants into China to poison Chinese citizens and its armies !! ! The present ruling party of China is the best ,most efficient and strongest political party ever have for China during the past 200 years history !!!! Cheers to China and its citizens and become more confident and stronger to defend itself against any foreign provocations and invasions around Chinese territories !!!
    If USA interfere internal affairs of PRC(i.e.Taiwan or other issues) and provocations on sovereignty of PRC in South China sea, China can also help native people in USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and any other previous or present colonial territories occupied by Europeans less than 500 hundreds to get independence and demand all these european invaders to go back to europe where you were originally from. Cheers to all aboriginal people in USA, Canada, Australia and ................to become master of their own lost land again occupied by foreign invaders less than 500 years ago.. Fair enough!!!
