When pep came from Barca b to the first team, he led them to promotion. Barca had good players but no team that's why they had gone two years without winning anything before pep came.
Pep was given the job based on advise from Cruyff after pep Barca b team played a friendly the first team managed by frank rijkaard and pep won 0-1 playing them out of the park. That's why he got the job.

There are two different types of successful Barça style coaches. The fast ones like Lucho and Rijkaard, the ones in the middle like Pep and Cruyff. But they all have 60+% possession. That's also Hansi Flicks average percentage.
But one key thing that Hansi has that Pep and all the great coaches do. It is to flood the box with players and position them in a pattern inside the box so either one can poach or to receive the pass or cross. All the great teams do this today. City, Real, Liverpool, Bayern.
This is a big complaint I've had with Xavi for almost three years. He doesn't overload the box, which makes it difficult to break down lowblocks. And his team doesn't move the ball fast enough between the players nor switch sides fast enough to catch teams by surprise and make them chase the ball.
De zerbi- Absolutely no
Gallardo- Would be intriguing
Marquez- No
Flick- Best option, should be all over this if flick is pushing for the job
Motta- Need to see more of him
Tuchel- Absolutely No, when was the last time bayern finished third? A lot of bayern fans dont like him and if hes not good enough for bayern, then he aint good enough for us
Tuchel is a very underrated manager. He made Chelsea win the UCL. Got PSG to the finals. He has achieved pretty well with Bayern also, only this time the exception Bayern Leverkusen happened. Leverkusen didn't lose a single match in the whole season. That's an extraordinary achievement. That is not on Tuchel.
The problem with bayern is that when he joined bayern were on the decline they were already in jeopardy of losing the title to BVB after dominating it for 10 years It’s no surprise right now they’re doing bad considering these facts plus Leverkusen had a miracle season all of him finishing 3rd is not really his fault

@@DrDiabolical000 Tuchel in 2019/20 with PSG had a ridiculous UCL carry from Neymar. Teams were solely focused on Neymar. On top of that they barely scraped by in the knockout stages and they had easy matchups in Dortmund, Atalanta and Leipzig. You couldn't have asked for an easier route to the final especially considering the opposite side of the quarterfinals drawing had Real Madrid, Man City, Juventus, an in-form Lyon, Napoli, Barcelona, Chelsea, and Bayern. As for Chelsea, though, I think Tuchel's defensive tactics worked out really well and I give him props for that. That said, he also completely dropped the ball the following season. Also, playing 5 defenders at the back with Kante and Jorginho sitting deep most of the game isn't some kind of revolutionary genius tactic. It worked because he had some ridiculously solid experienced defenders in Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Thiago Silva, and defensively oriented full backs in Reece James (who played lights out that season) and Chilwell. I personally agree with you that Tuchel is a great manager but he hasn't "impressed" really anyone. Also getting second with a completely stacked Bayern and claiming it's just because Leverkusen had a great season is not a valid excuse. Prior to this season, Bayern won that league basically every season going back a decade. It's not like Tuchel had some new Bayern squad. Most of that team was playing when they were dominating a few seasons ago.

This is what I don't understand abt xavi criticism because it not based on fact, just feelings. Xavi has played 3 in the back, played 4 midfielders and our current system. Xavi has not been stubborn in any anyway because his team continously lose players because of injuries and lack of finances. He has been flexible in many ways other manager has not had to be. Tuchel spent 200 hundred million in bayern and finished third after luckily win the league a season before. Tuchel also spent 400 hundred million in Chelsea before he got fired too. Playing horrible football, Chelsea fans were calling him Tuchel taliban because of his style. The coaches u like has always had a big budget to work with and they still failed when they actually had to create a team they wanted. Tuchel champion league winning team was lampand team he inherited also in PSG. He won the league last season with the formal bayern managers team and failed this yr after he spent some money. Pls tell me tuchel style of football. His a cup manager because he plays defensive football. I will not bother with flick because he too has never created a team. He won during covid with one leg and no fans. He flopped in two tournaments with Germany. I will going to ignore that too.

He won a UCL because he focused on only the UCL and they performed average in every other title. Barcelona doesn’t “need a UCL” they need to consistently perform and be in the conversation again in all titles in order to return to “winning the UCL ways”. Tuchel doesn’t give you that. Rafa Marquez (Intrigued) Laporta is an idiot and put the team in this position. Rafa Marquez can coach 1 year… if he works out great, if not Luis Enrique is free after next season. Marquez has more to do with Lamine, Cubarsi, etc development than Xavi. He’s a financially smarter decision than De Zerbi and also a smarter option if you want a Pep, Klopp, Luis Enrique in the future.

Never say never my friend 😁, dortmund could win a ucl despite being 5th in Bundesliga. Madrid won in 2022 despite not being favorites as city, liverpool, chelsea and bayern were. Chelsea won in 2012 despite not playing well all season.
