The soundtrack of "Tree of Life" is mostly funeral music. Going from John Tavener's Funeral Canticle, with which the film opens, to "Agnus Dei" from Berlioz's Grande Messe des Morts, to Lacrimosa from Zbigniew Preisner. This is because the film is a reflection on the meaning of suffering. Suffering that in this case is provoked by the death of Jack O'Brian's brother (the initials are "JOB" a reference to the biblical book of Job). The first song of the film and of this video puts us in context of what we are about to see. This, together with the voice-over that speaks of the difference between the way of nature and the way of grace, a division present throughout the film and personified in the parents, Brad Pitt and Jessica Chastain
I love it so deeply. It does represent for me the perfection of life. Magical, fragile, the joy, the so… and the magnificence of the present moment. Thanks for the gift

I feel sooo relaxed, but soundtrack listening.
Espectacular
Missing the best track in the film
I was thinking of making a longer version of the soundtrack. Which song do you miss? I'll add it
