I know I am super late to the party here, but the TX81z is one of my favorite synths in my studio and I recently came across both banks of patches you came up with for it. I'm utterly blown away. I literally had to check to make sure the sounds were coming out of my TX81z a few times. You sir, are an absolute synth wizard. These are absolutely stunning!!! Thank you for sharing them and for all you do for the synth community.
These patches are absolutely amazing, somes are pure beauty... At 3:04 I had like the taste of the 80s ! Great job Gstormelectro and thanks to sharing your passion !
The power of FM is pretty crazy, and underrated. Iv'e been all analog up until a couple months ago when I downloaded DEXED. It feels like iv'e discovered a whole new world of sounds. Just finished editing my first full cartridge.
this should have so much more likes .. so much different beautiful synth sounds, still every one is unique, and well demonstrated by your playing skills
Love the intro. Got 2 s612's, an e4x, several polys new and old, a knobby drum synth and a hand full of x0x box knockoffs...but I broke the Tx81z after using it on everything I ever recorded. Oriental drum #9 , Farcheesa, 16-8-4-2, FM hi hats and Noise Shot patches.
A triumphant return to the TX81Z ! You bring out the low-fi gritty quality like no one else. 2:31 and 3:35 gave me some spooky Akira Yamaoka-style "Silent Hill" vibes, very nice.
That it does. As long as we go beyond most presets, however sometimes I drone a Lately Bass sequence in the background while I'm doing other things. Could listen to that all day.
@@gstormelectro I'm sure you had a big part in the 'soul' I was hearing! Just managed to snag one for dirt cheap, should be with me tomorrow. Let's hope I can make it sound half as good as you.
Send sysex via midiox. Make sure the 81Z midi channel matches and patch write protection is off. Of course, after you have backed up your existing user patches to file.
Killer patches. Did you make most of these with the stereoping? I have a V50 now and really enjoy it, although the "vibe" of the 81Z is kind of cooler.
That was the M-Audio Venom. Really cheap keybed, can't recommend it for controller duty. M-Audio Axiom line was much better key action. EDIT: oh I forgot to mention the Venom keys turn yellow! Even properly stored indoors out of the sunlight :(
I like the TX81Z sound, a bit warmer the the DX7 I think, but not as grubby sounding as the earlier, more limited 4 Op synths like the DX100/11/21/27 line.
Fantastic video as usual! Are you familiar with the yamaha reface dx? How do this 2 compare? Both 4op. I have the DX but someone is selling a TX81z for $70 bucks on Craigslist here.... I wonder if they overlap
@@gstormelectro nope...the TX has 8 waves, DX has 2, but feedback on each OP. Actually I bought it, just went thur the manual and play with the TX all night. They sound very close. The TX is grittier but the biggie is that it's multitimbral and many waves to choose... So I'm keeping them both:)

free patches that shit on every paid soundset online. You're the man, thank you
Added these patches to my TQ5, work perfectly and sound fantastic. Thank you!

Man, please do more of these. You're the best TX81z of the Internet
Amazing patches- that Stereoping is clearly getting you mileage, I'm a little jealous ;)
These are patches of great accomplishment. Congratulations.
Glad you like them!
Tx81z is the best synthesizer ever. Everyone should make a pact to never sell it too expensive and make it cheap forever!
sold mine for $20 bucks. Happy?

Nice.
Thank you!
Will definitely try them out in my FM8!

Thanx for no FX man
Amazing. I feel like at this level of sound design, everything is an effect.
Also appreciate the dry timbres, so we can really get a feel.
Classic machine in the hands of a master, thanks for these videos and patches!
Really liked Harmonix!
...and Ruination
boy he done did it
LOL
As soon as I saw the Big Sky, I said to myself, this guy knows what's up!
thank you. these still rule
Oooh, Icewave! I really like that sound!

Venom! Very underrated but really powerful digital Synth

Nice, thanks alot !!! Better then the onboard ones. I m fiddling around on the stereoping
G-man...thanks for the inspiration to get into my FM Synths!
Okay I'm sold. Damn this thing has some real soul in it.

NIce. how do you upload pathes to the TX81Z
?

i suck at programming this thing, is there anyway you could share these patches with us?? :)
They've been up for a while, download links are in the description if your device can see them.
fm heaven
thank you for making and sharing these! awesome, just like your aJuno patches!

Yes, it really unlocks the thing.
what is the song he's playing at 1:30? its an old house classic can't remember the name
probably a variation on something from 808 state
@@gstormelectro yes! you're right, its In Yer Face by 808 State
what’s all that other crap that’s in your rack?🤔

BTW, Cool keyboard!
Hey will these work on dx11? Since they are practically the same
I don't know. As long as you backup the dx11 sounds, give it a try.
G what midi keyboard are you using here?

I was under the impression that DX11 was the same engine as the TX81z
@@georgeparkins777 Similar but the TX is more complex, has more waveforms.

I love tx81z. I hate tx81z poly. You got a jd990 there!
New to the TX81Z - how are you loading the patches onto it? Cheers!

@@gstormelectro Simply excellent
@@gstormelectro Where are the patches saved to on the TX81Z
are you using a librarian program or alesis datadisk?🤔
Sounds great, but all sounds are very similar to each other.
Sometimes I get a certain vibe and go w/ it.
