How did you become a in-home SLP? What are the pros and cons of selecting this as your choice? What were the steps following graduate schooling and receiving your CCC licensure?
Hi! Once you have your CCC’s you can just apply for the in-home setting jobs. I linked a previous video where both Haley and I go into more detail beyond what was in this video on the pros and cons of our setting choices. Hope this is helpful! ruclips.net/video/PsQAADPRS5k/видео.html
@@PediatricSpeechPals Hi, thank you for commenting back. I just watched the video you attached to this comment. The video does a great job showing the pros and cons of both facilities. Is there a difference in salary between the most selected choices of work: clinical, in home, and school? How does insurance/health insurance/coverage work in a clinical setting versus a in home setting versus a school?
@@elyssachen18 it depends on your company, but overall I usually have experienced that schools have the best benefits while clinic/in-home has the best pay per hour.
Hi! I see about 25 clients per week five or take. I got my clients through word of mouth and contracting through a local regional center to help get the word around. You can also utilize other marketing strategies as well (like using google ads and others) to help get clients 😊
I love these day in the life videos !!
Could you do a video on what writing reports looks like? I am really looking into becoming an SLP!
Love ya'lls videos! More videos, please! 🤩
Can you guys talk more into detail about the actual courses themselves you need to take.
when you record during sessions do you ask the client's gaurdians for consent or is it okay if you film because they are not being shown?

I intern at a school and we have 30 minute sessions. How do you plan activities for a whole hour?
Thanks for sharing this! How many clients do you typically see/schedule in a week?
I see about 25 hours of direct therapy give or take a week! I find that 30 hours is a very full schedule, so my sweet spot is 25 😊
What is the benefit as a SLP to work in home?
How many sessions do you normally see per week? Also, how do you find private clients? This setting is my GOAL

How many clients do you see day usually?
Do you have to bring your own materials?
Do you have to provide your own toys? And was this your first setting after your CF?
Yes, it was! And yes, I did have to provide all my own toys but you can go in-home without your own toys and just use what the family has. Both work!
How do you learn to calm down children with autism?
