"To have a trustee say what he said is not acceptable." Who do you think you are to tell people what to say and think, right or wrong? You don't control everything.
And yet blatant anti-White hatred is not only condoned but even celebrated. You say you're against racism, but only want to cross half the street. Meanwhile, I have more important things to do.
Ya. Like we don’t have bigger issues in the world than words that offend you. I’m offended all the time, but no one cares about that. Suck it up folks.
i guess over half the reserves across this country need to change their names quickly. la ronge would be an example. their own acronym is LLRIB... you can guess or look up what the i stands for.
Unfortunately for you most people though, there’s contracts signed between the government and the Anishnaabe people and we all know how non Anishnaabe like their paper words. It’s not our fault or yours that both sides must honour the paper. If they threw out that paper, someone might throw out the paper to yours or my belongings after that.
But there are many indigenous people who still use or prefer the term “Indian”. They are also many indigenous-led organizations that use that word in their names.
Honestly speaking as an actual indian from asia I think they should stop using the word indian for themselves. It's confusing and a name given by the colonists.
@@bulthaosen1169 Fair point. One issue though is that the term “Indian” is used in legal terms in Canada (including The Indian Act (1985)), and in treaties that bear legal power to this day. Removing the term completely may be next to impossible.
Shame on him for not falling in line and virtue signalling instead
We have bigger issues here in Canada 🇨🇦
make sure you keep telling people what to think, dolf.
Every issue is an issue.
Need a hurt feeling report. Words are just that words. If you want an apology, petition the Vatican as they where the ones who hurt your ancestors.
That so called chief needs to apologize to all of Canada for perpetuating racism towards non Indian citizens

Looks like a bunch of cry babies tbh
Wow, you're so empathetic. It's not like multiple things can happen at once.
Who give a f 😅😅😅
Obviously you don't. But you cared enough to comment.
The racism in the comments is truly disgusting
The trolls are in full force on RUclips, it's rare to find a civilized comment these days. It's hard to avoid the comment section though.
We call Indians wahoos in Australia
@@AussieBodybuilder we been calling them worse here after the lies.

I think the worst thing here is the defending residential schools.
So why are they okay with being called Native Americans, since that is a Eurocentric, and Euro-produced name?
We’re all not. I want to be called an Indian, like my certificate of Indian status from the government of Canada calls me.
@@drywallerbuddy Glad to hear it. That used to be the prevalent attitude. 👍
Who cares?

@Michael-to8qd no you are the one that is sad. Grow up.
If we stay on this path, we will bankrupt the country, and then what will they get
Same in Australia
@@YesSir-ms3uk how many countries are these people indigenous in?

Unfortunately the Canadian indigenous natives would be treated better if they were immigrants from the Middle East
he's calling native people indian when Natives are first nations? first in Canada?
About 4 years ago the indigenous were calling themselves Indians and proud of it.
