No many people are good..perfect??? NO..THEY recognize their faults and weaknesses and do their best to change to be that right example for others to follow..now get ready for church tomorrow
“For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins. Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 1:5-11 NIV
@@cheryl0327 I read the whole Bible from cover to cover 9 times, and studied it for over 25-years, not just 2 Peter 1:5-11. "I also use these debates as part of my Bible study". 2 Peter 1:5 says "make every effort to add to your faith", Peter said they just ad to your faith, 2 peter 1:5.Then Peter goes on to name what we need to do to ad to our faith; Peter never said that any of those things will make us good. If Peter said that any of those things he mentioned, will make us good, then Peter would be contradicting Jesus Christ, since Jesus himself didn't consider himself to be good while he was on earth . Mark 10:18. The reason Jesus didn't consider himself to be good, although he was, was because he still had to overcome sin, Jesus was at war with the devil. So Jesus had to watch every step he made.
@@cheryl0327 Yes I have. Peter never said in any of those things he mentioned, that they will l make us become good. What Peter said was, they ad to our faith.
@@metalrocker627 We can only be good if we overcome sin, like Jesus did, but none of us can, Jesus had to overcome sin for us. None of us are good not one. ...Romans 3:10-12

No one is good. The problem with believers is their unbelief about their own sins.

Who do you believe, the Pope and the Bishop, or Jesus Christ.? Read. Mark 10:18...Then decide
I'm not sure what you are trying to say. Have you read 2 Peter 1:5-11. This is what my takeaway from this video was.
