    COLLECTING AMERICA
Folk Art and the Shelburne Museum
Collecting America: Folk Art and the Shelburne Museum celebrates Electra Havemeyer Webb’s collection of collections, now comprised of hundreds of thousands of American folk art pieces filling 37 buildings of the world-renowned Shelburne Museum in Vermont. The film, narrated by Ann Sothern and hosted by John Wilmerding, provides a kaleidoscopic glimpse of objects, from whimsical whirligigs to a 900-ton side-wheeler, the Ticonderoga. It pays tribute to a pioneering collector who taught us to appreciate ordinary objects made by ordinary people.
