The alcohol content of Chamisul Original is 20.1% and Chamisul Fresh is 16.5%. Chamisul also has fruity flavors such as grapes and blueberries.
It was so strong! We didn’t expect that haha so next time will definitely drink it with some snacks 🤭
@@JayeshChhayayes try the Chamisul Jinro Green Grape flavour! U'll not regret it. Thats the first soju i tried. Loving it since then. Best to pair it with korean fried chicken!
@@JayeshChhaya soju have to drink with side food like meat or sushi usually
What a lovely couple! Thank you for wonderful clips, and I hope you really enjoyed Korea.
Our pleasure! We’ve been really enjoying the country 🇰🇷✨😍
In Korea, breakfast is usually eaten at home. We also eat Western-style meals such as salad, cereal, and toast. Usually, we cook and eat rice, soup, kimchi, seaweed, egg dishes, and many kind of side dishes.
My wife and I plan to go to Seoul in June. We prefer eating breakfast outside rather than buffet in the hotel. Question: What time do eateries in Seoul open, and are they easy to find? Thanks.
When you first start drinking soju, it's a good idea to try different flavors, such as grapefruit, apple, strawberry, peach, grape, and yogurt, rather than the original.
Nice vlog😊😊❤ keep making more. Content
Such a nice vlog couple 🥰😍 Waiting for more Korean content come 👀🇰🇷
Thanks for the video traveling the soon on the budget
Have fun! It's really possible not to overspend and still have lots of fun!
Info : The sweet sauce of Issac Toast is made of Kiwi fruit.
Wow! That’s super interesting! 🥝
Nice vlog guys 👌
Glad you enjoyed it!
즐거운 여행되시길♡
The camera quality is so good honestly. Also, I don't know why but I am so obsessed with your videos they are quite interesting. You are very honest and Karolina who is bank of England is so beautiful. ln short honestly you guys are my comfort zone right now. I expect more interesting videos love you guys so much

Hi Simon! Welcome :) More UK videos on the way!
ISAAC TOAST!! that's my one of my favourites there is sweet taste in it, but they made it kind of healthy way with kiwifruit jams.
Also in Korea you can drink alcohol wherever you want.
It's very good 😋 Wow! Interesting! Even on the streets?
@JayeshChhaya Yes, literally wherever. I think it is normal for people in the constitutional freedom and the act can not be any wrong as long as beings good in Korea.
@@JayeshChhaya Up, There are usually tables and chairs outside of convenience stores. But, you missed the tables and chairs inside, where you could have eaten and drank alcohol.
Thanks for this info.. i was wondering the same if we could drink soju at convenience stores too
Your video reminds me of my trip to Seoul 9 years ago with my friend. We too enjoyed Isaac Toast, visited N Seoul Tower, and explored many of the same places you showcased this time. Thank you for sharing your experiences!🙂
So cool! We really liked Seoul and all the little things the city has to offer 👍
Thanks for watching!
I hope you enjoy the Seoul Fireworks Festival. There will be a lot of people. I also recommend riding a bike on the Han River. It costs $1 per hour to rent.

The two of you drinking soju is adorable.
😊😊😊 We're definitely not the type of drinking people but wanted to try it out haha
Amazing city ❤
Jay congratulations on the video you made 😄
Karolina you are nice and super 😘
Soju is delicious to drink when winter arrives because it warms the body
Haha, so true! You warm up immediately after having the first sip 🤪

Chamiseul(means "authentic dewdrop") classic(red) is like 20.1% now? It's getting weaker and weaker.
First Chamiseul(fresh) was 23%, red cap was 25%, around '90s.
I personally don't like soju even though I'm Korean, but if I have to choose one, my pick is Chamiseul Jamong (grapefruit flavored soju), 13%.
로컬마켓에서 먹었던 소세지와라이스는 "소떡소떡"이라합니다..굉장히 유명하죠..또한 팬케이크는 "호떡" 이라부릅니다..

I love your videos about Korea. The far east is definitely the future. Great videos. Keep it up. You got a new subscriber!
BTW, I can't handle alcohol very well either! I would choose a lager beer rather than that!
Awesome! Thank you!

You're really funny.
You seem pretty fast on learning local(foreign) technology.
Enjoy Korea, I'm with you.
❤️
You can go to Gwang-Jang market or to Dongdaemun following the stream.
In Korea, you can pretty much drink anywhere. Convenient stores are the go to place if you are on a tight budget.
👍👍👍
It's interesting how we were told not to drink in the CU!
@@JayeshChhaya u can drink outside the place but not directly inside of the establishment... usually they have a few table n chairs
@@JayeshChhaya It is literally 점바점(store by store). When I was Uni. student, me & my friends were refused to drink in/out of the convenient store table, so I asked to open the bottle and we just drank it while walking, lol. There's no legal problem, but many store owners/part timers don't like heavy drinker making any problem in there store. And it's easy to refuse their customers drinking in the store, because you can take a seat anyway, anywhere outside of the store and drink it. Just be careful not too noisy, and take your waste back.
+ We usually drink beer while using the convenient store table, not a high-proof alcohol like soju. It's not a strict rule, but it's common in normal area store.
It could be OK, if you're at low social class town, since lots of ppl there drink high-proof alcohol daily, the stores make money from them.
00:36
Mega Coffee in the background. One of the most popular chains. Not bad and cheaper compared with American chains...
Red cap for life!
However, please do Soju a justice and try eating Korean bbq with it. About half a shot of Soju and chase it with a piece of bbq meat. Heaven!
Cute couple! When drinking soju, you need some snacks with broth. Like "gamjatang"
😬 Definitely!
Try to go to Hongdae or Itaewon !!
Seems like u guys got the original and fresh version of Soju! Those two are quite strong and and spiritual. The flavored soju has fruit images on the label. Hope u guys get a chance to try next time:))
We're coming back to South Korea actually in October this year! So can't wait to try more of the foods and types of soju indeed 🤩 Is there any type of a particular dish you'd recommend to try while drinking? 🍹
01:59
that is a restored stream (cost hundreds of million USD). Used to be covered by a road with another elevated road on top...
Soju + Chicken....the best combination
@19:28 The name of that food is called 소떡 (soh-tteok), literally meaning sausage and rice cake.
Thanks! We really enjoyed that 😋❤️
I recommend a one day trip to mt.bukak and bukak palgakgeong house (팔각정) Really many korean do that and love that ^^ It is a sort of light k-climing you will meet very beautiful scenery, road.. and people good luck!
Sounds great! We will be coming back to Seoul this autumn so just put it on our list 😍
soju u can drink like that or mix with sweet drink... what i know from my friends....
The sausage with rice cake skewer is called So-tteok-so-tteok. And you are supposed to eat sausage and rice cake together not separately
you can drink alcohol beverage in front of convenient stores where usually have tables and chairs
There was a designated space for the tables outside but the chairs were not there - maybe that was the reason we were told not to drink inside the store? 🤔
Oh~ besides mt. Inwang ( there is also inwang skyway) is very beside mt.bukak. the inwang skyway is connected bukak skyway. If the weather is clear you can see the really very beautiful scenery of seoul. have a good day in korea ^^
Amazing! Just added it to our list for next time 😍
@@JayeshChhaya The mountain bukak is behind kwang hwa mun square ^^* you can go the mountain entrance by bus at bus stop ^^ the name of entrance is 'chang ui moon' and you will find many people the mt.bukak road because that is popular place for citizen' rest in seoul.
@@JayeshChhaya if you go mt.bukak, you prepare your food and water...because you must be some hard to go for the bukak palgakgeong (beautiful house) but kind korean will help you ^^ but the road of mt.bukak is very beautiful and safe and the height of bukak is very low ^^
자막도 있고 너무 재밋네요 ㅋㅋㅋ 5만원으로 버티기

Some foreign tourists find Isaac Toast strange because it has a sweet sauce. (Why is the toast sweet?)
"Egg Drop" is a more premium brand than "Isaac Toast". It's definitely different, so I recommend trying egg drop toast later.
The name of the “Sausage & Rice Cake” you ate at Namdaemun Market is “Sotteok.” (Sausage - So (Sau) + Rice Cake = TTeok in Korean)
Because Namdaemun Market is visited by many foreign tourists, the sauce is not spicy. Sotteok from other regions is a bit spicier.
Currently, the most popular drinks in convenience stores in South Korea are “zero calorie drinks.” (Zero Cola, Zero Fanta, and many other Zero drinks)
Sugar is a big issue these days, so there is a trend to choose drinks that avoid sugar as much as possible.
And you can drink alcohol on the street in South Korea. (It's not illegal)
If there is a table outside the convenience store, you can sit there and drink comfortably.
소주 마시고 표정 존나 웃겼어요❤❤
🤪 Ours too hahaha
The one you guys ate at 19:02 are called So-tteok So tteok not a tteokbokki. They use a different sauce when making it. You guys should definitely try the real tteokbokki . Thanks for the video !
I’m a Tteokbokki lover 🤭 [Karolina] but we both enjoyed the combination with the sausage on the stick!
Hey, we can drink anything outside, Korea does not prohibit drinking alcohol.
Friendly advice: In Korea, you are supposed to get on the bus through the front door and get off though the rear door even though it is possible to pay with your T money card at the rear door. When the bus driver had some grudge in your other video, that was why:)
Perfect weather in Korea mate! Btw you drink Soju when you have food otherwise get a flavour one..😅
Next time!

Great video. What was the average you spend on meals for a family of two for 5 days in Japan who take taxis vs public transport?
We’ve never made it to Japan - it’s South Korea :)
We dont drink soju without some food. U should have tried soju with delicious Korean anju. could be better first Soju experince. haha 😊
Just something I noticed, when you go to the touristy spots, the asians you see are not usually Korean, but tourists from other Asian countries.
Could be! We're actually planning our next trip to Korea for end of summer/beginning of Autumn this year and will be willing to film more of a local content 🥰
It is very interesting to watch your budget travelling. Btw, it was best decision to take Namdaemoon market than Myeongdong for picking some street food. Myeongdong is very pricy, touristic and even many of the street food are not real local food korean ppl actually have in their normal life!
Soju is a very cheap alcohol that Koreans enjoy drinking.
Soju is not a delicious drink,
but reason Koreans like soju is not simply because of its taste.
because soju contains the joys and sorrows of the difficult lives that Koreans have lived.
so, if you realize the taste of soju, you havebecome Korean.
Welcome to Korea! :)
한국사람? 외국인이라면 소주의뜻을 정확히 알고있어 고맙습니다ㅎㅎ

OMG this video!!!! i miss all street food in Seoul!! i love sotteok sotteok (that sausage and tteok stick)!! ^^ please try gyeran ppang (egg bread) too, its sooo good!!
that almond store at Myeongdong is new, i usually bought at Hongdae, that almond snacks indeed so good!! my fave is the honey butter, starlight pang pang (try this one, its nice and interesting) and jeju hallabong almond ^^
haha i also dont like soju, flavoured soju (fruity taste) is better and maekgeolli (rice wine) is sooo good!! 😁
and anyway for convenience store, i prefer GS25 than C U, banana milk is the best, try the melon milk too, i tried so many flavoured milk in Korea and all are good!! 😁
you should go to japan :)
We are hopefully later this year :)
U can drink soju everywhere lol and go to E mart or lotte mart then more cheaper buy u csn banana milk
Thanks for sharing!

I feel Korea quite expensive but I heard cheaper than UK but expensive than Indonesia like that
Seoul Korea expensive than Tokyo Japan
@@kushal809 No My Japan friend said Seoul is more cheaper than Tokyo just showing price is Japan is more cheap. but Japan friend said only 2times expensive than Japan but here 1 portion is feeling in Japan people eat 4 people. just price is Japan is more cheap compare giving portion and value is Korea more cheap
@@boomyitv okay thanks for your reply 👍
@@kushal809 it means spend more money in Korea. also during life more save money on Japan. its weird
Although Korea's prices are still relatively low compared to the United States and Western Europe, they have risen significantly in recent years.
Im really enjoying your videos. Please do come to my city ( Tokyo ).
Japan is on our bucket list indeed 😍
Soju must be consumed just before it freezes, and soju cannot be consumed alone. Eat it with side dishes such as meat, raw fish, and stew.
🙏 We definitely need to combine it with food next time!
When you take a bus in Korea, you get on the bus in front and get off the bus in the back.
The T-money card takes a picture of the front and the back. The bus driver doesn't like it when you ride from the back.
Except for Korean rice, the rest are eaten as snacks. Toast is not a formal meal in Korea.
That's so interesting! It seems like you're snacking a lot then haha
CU 밖 테이블에서 소주 마실수있어요
We wanted to but there was no outside seating set up 😅
Toast etc is not a Korean thing. Korea has their own breakfast which is usually a bowl of rice, soup and the side dishes.
What you think is breakfast is usually just for a snack.
Great to know! We actually struggled with breakfast options in SK: we didn't really see cafes/breakfast places to be a popular thing in the mornings 🤔 So we ended up having Kimbap from 7-11/GS25 and toasts from Isaac Toast/Egg Drop.
Would you say that breakfast is not a huge thing in South Korea?
@@JayeshChhaya It is. Just that we don't have specific types of food categorized as breakfast. Kimbap is always good for breakfast.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2:10 Isaac Toast is a food that has been a simple meal for Korean students and office workers who go to work early since the late 90s. Basically, the sauce contains kiwi sauce and apple sauce, so it will taste sweet.
So good! We actually ended up having it a few times in the morning because it was such a great (& cheap) way to start the day right 😋
I think drinking pure water is more important than soda.
It will make your bodies healthy.
