Guys... Stop commenting on the “TWO OUTTER”. I assumed you all would catch on that I meant he hit the “2 outs for the King” and not the flush or two pair outs! My mistake for assuming that 😂 It was a editing mistake to not elaborate and I will try harder to be clearer in the future... now stop it!!! 😂

You did perfect against him with ur AA I think except I would have raised pre flop more and if someone calls they call but if not then you don’t loose money to a weak hand but good play

I understood what you meant by two outter! If he had hit the flush he would have hit the nine outer, just relative to hoe the hand played out!

Ash, the music does adds to the vlog the same as it does with the other vlogs. Very nicely done. 😁
The AA hand. Given the thumbnail sketch on the villains image, it seems like he was likely looking to get call trappy at some point during a hand. In short, if he's playing his hands virtually face up and would have alot of Kx in his range, an exploitative check back is fine here and U minimize your loss.
Another fine vlog as always. We'll be here for vlog #3. 😊

    • @PokerfaceAsh
      @PokerfaceAsh  3 года назад +1

I completely agree and weighted him heavily towards any K combination. As well as straight draws & flush draws which don’t call river bet. As he was VPIP 95% lol

Thanks for sharing your background and showing the basketball skills. I miss those days of high school sports. You’re tremendously talented and this poker thing is definitely your niche. It’s mentally challenging and you always have an opponent to test your skills. We crave this competition as athletes. Love the smile,it’s perfect!

Good to have a female poker vlogger on the scene! I really enjoyed your video and respect the fact your out there grinding and chasing your dreams. It was nice to see some shots of Talking Stick as that was my home base as a reg for about a year or so before I moved out to Vegas and intermittently before that. Happy grinding and good luck!

Hey, Ash, subbed a while back and I'm going through your early vlogs. I liked the format, a little of your past, a little of your present, and some live poker play. This was early in your vlogging so don't worry about your editing and the sound. You did miss doing a recap on how well you did, looked like you were up 200 but hard to tell. I like that you do your own music entro. Do you use a digital mixer to lay down the different tracks? Have you watched any music videos from Dovydas? He performs a lot solo in small venues while his wife films them. He will have a couple guitars including a seven string, a keyboard, an electronic drum pad, and a loop station. He plays some of his original music but also takes a lot of requests. If he has heard but doesn't really know a particular selection, like Steve Vai's Tender Surrender, he will pull it up on his phone and listen to some of it, lay down a beat, the bass line, and a rhythm section on the loop station and then play the lead live. He is very good, you should check him out.

Absolutely love the check back on the river. Cringeworthy card without question.
For a river bet, you can’t get a better hand to fold or really any worse hand to call, so a check is absolutely awesome.

Ah there was a flush draw on the board also and from the dynamic she described he could be playing any 2 cards. I think going for thin value and closing vs a check raise is also ok in some spots.

That was a good check back on the river. If he doesn't have a king or better there what is he calling? You already said he was folding some turns that you were barreling so he is obviously not just calling down with any hand. Good job.

  • @mikemckeon8976

Nice vlog, enjoyed the music-not to loud as some do with music. Also enjoyed your insight of the room at Talking Sticks, and agree with your description of the room, having played there on past trips before everything went crazy.
Yes, spread limit only slightly different then no limit, and depending on tables make up, will still play the same.
As too the pocket Aces hand, I might have sized up a little more on the turn, but with you'r read on the player and the fact he could have been playing any KX, either was fine. Then another King on the river, definitely checking back. If he would have valued bet the same as your turn bet, you would have a much harder decision. Don't know if he would have announced two pair with a check raise on the turn, but with the King on the river, agree he was trying to trap you.

You followed your gut on the river and I would have done the same. After getting a lot out of him, the poker gods was probably going to give something back to him. In the end you saved yourself some money so it was a good call. He didn't catch a two outer if he flopped a flush draw and could hit two pair. I like your check on the river. You are not getting called by anything, but a king, especially if he knows he has blockers and doesn't have you on a flush draw. I am surprised he never took control of the hand though. You're right. Very passive player. I live in Mesa and expect a lot of passive play at TSR. Been playing there for 18 years. Enjoying your channel.

watching your older videos after watching the TCH live session. On the AA hand. It's a check back. Villian's limp-call range has many King x hands. Also he is passive. He didn't raise when he flopped two pair with 5,6, ealier. On river. Your Aces only beat a missed club draw or straight draw w/ 78. Betting it wouldn't get called by worse.

On the villains trip kings as soon as you said you cringed, I did the same, against such a loose passive who we see continue on a turn there and then that specific card coming we essentially get no value from missed draws and middle pairs that wouldn’t let go (which now more than likely would to a bet) and as such I don’t mind the check back. Against so many more versatile players we could go for value when they won’t let go of some other pocket pairs, but given your notes on villain it was fine to me.

In the hand you had pocket aces against the villain's king seven suited, you stated that he "hit his two-outer" to beat you on the river. Obviously, this is incorrect as he had 14 outs. Given that he flopped so huge with his trashy hand, you only had approximately 50% equity on the flop. Your check back on the river against this type of opponent was completely standard in low limit live poker, in my opinion. Overall, I think you played the hand perfectly with my only comment is that you should not make unintelligent comments like "hit his two outer" in your post hand analysis as it looks like sour grapes to me. Obviously, you want players to continue to limp/call hands like K7s to your in position raises, accept the variance and move on. Nice hand.

@@gregorystgermain713 🙄 spare me bro... He hit his two outer. She’s played professionally for 3 years, she knows what she meant, I know what she meant. He had 2 outs to hit a king and 9 for a flush. You can chop it up anyway you want, but frankly I’m glad you took the time to make this comment. It always says a lot about folks like you. In my experience it just means she’s doing the right thing making content, haters are the best following you can have, free advertisement.

@@gregorystgermain713 sigh 🤦🏻‍♀️ I meant instead of hitting his flush outs, he hit the king which had 2 outs. I know what a two outter is playing poker for a living lol. I assumed people would follow what I meant. Oops. Should have worded it differently but most people seem to know what I meant. If you think that’s “unintelligent”... you’re going to see a lot more unintelligence on the Vlog 😂 thanks for watching!

Where in the valley are you from? Before I joined the army, i spent about 7 years living in PHx area. My parents and all my relatives still live there. Grew up on rural and Warner. Also lived in Gilbert for a few years at Val Vista and Elliot. Always on the south side and east. Have a bunch of family on 42nd and bell (I think but it’s been forever)

1st female poker vlogger I’ve come across. Perhaps you are the first ever ? Anyway, nice change up from all the men. Nice to see. There’s tons of female players at all levels of course, so you shouldn’t be the first vlogger but maybe you are. Of course I enjoy watching the men too, but it’s nice to see this as a change up to that.

Talkin Stick is a great room. Last time I was at the TS 5 of us got all in with about a $1600 pot. I flopped a set and was counting that pot thinking i paid for my trip to series in vegas. Then I guy rivered a straight. I think i won a few bucks on side pot but man i was disappointed. lol okay no bad beat stories.First time I was there they had about 30 games going on a Tuesday night.
