Good part about draining the oil from the air filter box. I will do that when I have the drain pan under it to change the oil!

Hello Jason, keep up the good work. I immensely enjoy your vids. I do have a question: I can't seem to find you changing front or rear wheel bearings on the 1700. I own a 2005 road star silverado, and need to change them.

Hello Gerard, I would like to say big thanks for getting a membership, greatly appreciated!!! Doing my best to get some members only content up and to keep videos coming 👍. Thanks, Very happy they help and are enjoyable. How many Miles on your bike ? Did they fail or just for peace of mind ? My bike has 188000km on it , and still original wheel bearings ( do not have a video up yet for the wheel bearings) , I am planning on changing them but not till the winter , I'll be at 200000km+ seems like a good time to change them proactively, I am planning on ordering the parts in the next few weeks tho and Maybe carrying the bearings with me on my trip this summer just incase I have an issue ( have a 10000km 10 day trip planed in July that Its in the back of my head a wheel bearing failing or a ignition coil (planing on changing those next winter to mine are still original)) . If you need any info I can go through my service manual and assist in that aspect . I am planing on doing a video on checking amd adjusting the valves hopefully in the next few weeks. Not sure if your in Canada USA or other , but my trip this summer will be from northern Ontario west through Manitoba , Saskatchewan, Albert , British Columbia, Yukon, north west territories ( no road into Nunavut), if your in the area and want to ride along there's always room for one more . Sorry for not being more helpful with the wheel bearings at this time but any info you need I can share it from my manual, if your bearings haven't failed yet and can make it till next winter I'll have a video then forsure . Sorry for the novel haha, Big thanks again !!!

HI, TY,,,I have a MArauder VZ800, the air filter seems to be in the same spot, but when you remove the gas tank it seems that there is another one or some kind of air box there, do you know what that is? TY

Hi thanks for the watch, I haven't had a chance to work on any of the vz800, but if I remember correctly those where a Dule carb bike ? And I beleave they had a front air box/filter for the front carb/cylinder, and then a second rear air box / filter for the rear carb/cylinder. If this is the case I would change both air filters at the same time. I hope this helps and let me know what you find.

Will this work for my 2004 vz800? They look identical!

Most likely, best thing to do would be check the parts number on them, or contact your local dealer and have them order you a filter that is a a match to your bike. It's pretty common for them to use the same part on a number of bikes keeps manufacturing costs down for them.

Where did you get the air filter piece? I have the same bike and it's quite hard to get it.

I just go to my local Suzuki dealer and they order them in for me. Should be able to get one online at Suzuki Canada or USA or one of the other motorcycle dealer/websites should be able to get one for you . Hope this helps 👍
