The Prophet (ﷺ) said: كُلُّ ابْنِ آدَمَ خَطَّاءٌ وَخَيْرُ الْخَطَّائِينَ التَّوَّابُونَ “All of the children of Adam are sinners, and the best sinners are those who repent.” [Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2499]
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: If anyone says: "I ask pardon of Allah than Whom there is no deity, the Living, the eternal, and I turn to Him in repentance," (Astaghfirullah-alladhi la ilaha illa Huwal-Haiyul-Qayyum, wa atubu ilaihi) he will be pardoned, even if he has fled in time of battle. - Sunan Abi Dawud 1517
