Change the title to "Top 20 Coolest Luxury Cars According to Rich People and Racing Fans." The general population would almost certainly recognize the VW Beetle or the Ford Model T as the most iconic cars ever made.
This list is quite clearly written by someone who doesn’t have a marked passion for cars. Many of the selections for the list are chosen for reasons that likely do not align with car fans priorities for instance the Delorian just doesn’t strike up the emotions that many car fans seek. This is simply my opinion of course.
Audi Ur-Quattro is the coolest car ever made. The Lamborghini Countach (with spoilers front and back) is nr 2. DMC DeLorean is number 3. And on 4 is KITT (Pontiac Firebird Trans AM).
As a fan of OutRun (Sega's video game franchise), I've always wanted to own a Ferrari. It's so hard to settle on a model though. The Testarossa, F40, 288 GTO, and the Enzo are all very tempting.
They would've been legend cars if they haven't been taken over by megatech and for Jeremy Clarkson to give it a negative review. ( Even though, like Doug Demuro, he hates Americans ) But I also love the Vector W8 as well...👍
What is so great about the Countach is that it was around. With that I mean they built and sold it in decently high numbers. It was in movies and it was part of the "zeitgeist". There was a chance you could actually see one on the road. That is what I hate about all those new super rare hyper cars. Nobody drives those things. Collectors hide them away in their garages. They aren't cars, they are car shaped art pieces. That makes them irrelevant. No artificially sparse modern hyper car will ever become a legend like the Countach.
