Chilgoza is one of the most expensive dry fruit which is an organic product obtained from the cones of the Chilgoza tree (Pinus gerardiana) also known as the neoza or neja. Chilgoza is a pine native to the northwestern Himalayas in eastern Afghanistan, Pakistan, and northwest India. In India, it is found in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh state. It is known as Ree or Shangti in kinnauri dialect which is harvested in the month of September-October. It is a rich source of proteins and unsaturated fatty acids, it also contains Vitamin-A, Vitamin-C, and Vitamin-E along with iron, zinc, and magnesium.

Please do not get confuse it with the Chir/ Cheed tree, this is Pinus gerardiana tree (Chilgoza). Both are different, it is found in some specific part of the world, whereas Chir (Pine) tree can be found at lower himalayan areas. You can confirm the price of Chilgoza in online, it is very expensive dry fruit.
