I'm a white Aussie male and I have visited China and USA. I felt absolutely free in China. I could go anywhere, leave my things on a restaurant table and go to the counter, come back, and my things were there. The Police in China are Civic Police and carry no guns. One Chinese Police office even escorted me to the nearest toilet when I needed to go. The people were friendly, and they went out of the way to help me when I struggled with Mandarin. I went out in the Cities of China at 3am in the morning and there were thousands of people shopping (the night shifters) and many were young women walking around freely.
I felt absolutely nervous in USA. There are over 40,000 gun related deaths in USA every year (virtually ZERO in every other developed country in the world because they do not have Citizen Gun Rights) and I was told that USA citizens carry guns to "protect themselves". If that is the case, then how do Tourists protect themselves? Some of my USA relatives and friends warned me not to go to certain suburbs in the cities, and I would not go out in a city after midnight. I got pick-pocketed in USA and I saw many people living in the streets. The Police in USA are militia police, they walk around with a utility belt full or arsenals (guns, batons, phasers, cuffs, pepper sprays, etc).
It was clear to me that citizens in China are FAR MORE FREER than the citizens in USA. Too many angry citizens in USA due to their government not taking care of their citizens. USA has one of the worst Civic Infrastructures I have seen in a developed country, and their Civic Services are ridiculously expensive, out of the reach of millions of USA citizens.

People say that the United States (US) is the land of the free and the home of the brave. However, the US government accuses the People’s Republic of China of being a dictatorship. A black man who has lived in China for 6 years compares the freedom in the US, and the freedom in China, to determine which citizens are happier. Freedom means nothing, if you are unhappy! Today, 38 million Americans live in poverty. Only 33% of Americans are satisfied with our government. Conversely, China has eradicated her poverty since 2020, despite having 4 times the US’ population. 90% of Chinese are satisfied with their government! The US has consistently refused to comply with 42 United Nations’ resolutions demanding that it immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. Therefore, the US does not want freedom for the Puerto Ricans! China does not support the artificial colonial settler state of Israel in its genocidal campaign against the indigenous people of Palestine in their own homeland. The US, however, and despite most of its citizens being against it, is unconditionally supporting Israel’s genocide! That makes the whole world very unhappy! US freedom is just an illusion!

The difference is that you can call out Government leaders on Social Media or even protest without fear of the police.
The freedom in Taiwan to be as you are & shape change as a citizen is uncomfortable to China.
Look how China has controlled HK.
      - Don't forget that the HK Police shot 3 protestors. One protestor ( who was an organiser) mysteriously dropped to his death from a car park 2nd floor.

This means that before establishing the true facts, it is necessary to prevent the spread of rumors, which can harm the families of victims and cause social panic.

I 've lived in both Canada and the United States for many years, and currently I am at my home in Xi'an, China, basking in the sun and enjoying delicious Chinese cuisine while watching this program. I can't help but reflect on the freedom I experience here. A woman can go for a night run or a morning jog at any time she pleases. The subway is clean, affordable, and the people are peaceful and courteous. Incidentally, I have lived in Calgary for 7 years, which is normally considered a very peaceful city in North America. However, I once had a terrifying experience where a mentally ill drug addict pushed me off the subway platform. Unfortunately, such individuals are becoming increasingly common in Canada. Canada, please give this some serious thought.

Thank you very much for sharing. One thing I must clarify is that in China, Chinese citizens over 18 years old can vote as long as they register. However, they vote to elect their own local officials, and continue at each level. Elect people's representatives until the highest-level People's Congress finally elects the highest national leader, instead of every citizen who can vote directly choosing one between two national candidates. Because China has a large population, hundreds of millions of people Choosing one of the two is not the best choice for China. On the contrary, local citizens are familiar with their local officials and choose people they recognize to represent their own interests. People's representatives in each locality will then elect people to represent them layer by layer. Representing local interests is the most suitable method for China at present.

OK, I'll speak as a person who grew up in China. Firstly, having millions of cameras might feel repressive to Western citizens, to us Chinese citizens, we feel like it is a commitment by our government that they always have our back, even if our two eyes fail us. The cameras have helped us solve many crime cases and act as a deterrent for criminal activity, and that's why we support it. Secondly, most people do not know this, but protests are actually allowed in China. It is in our constitution that people are allowed to voice our opinions (or at least, when Deng Xiaoping came around, and most people agree that Mao was a dick during the central period of his rule). The only reason the police will ever get involved is if the protest is a really big one (such as the Hong Kong ones) or it is done in front of a government facility, or the protests get violent. In fact, the police were created due to the Tiananmen Incident, because the government thought that the PLA should only focus on the defence of the nation, and not managing protests, and the PLA back then did most of the policing too. Thirdly, Xinjiang and Tibet are pretty thankful that the CCP decided to exert some control over them. not a lot of people know this too, but Tibet and Xinjiang were very violent regions before the CCP stepped in. After our government got there, they upheld peace for the people by eliminating all the destabilising factions that were inside these two provinces. They also upheld human rights there. One example: The Dalai Lama(in the past) would sacrifice virgin girls for some inhumane ritual every month or so. When the CCP stepped in, they abolished this practice and cracked down on such inhumane rituals and gave everyone in Tibet freedom from the totalitarianism of the Tibetian monastery. From what I learned, it seems that China has a much stellar record of human rights, liberation, freedom and safety compared to the West

Hell, even china and russia are the samething even eu or whatnot. People, never talk about the less or good state or whatnot. They only talk the most of popular state most of their home town. Which is just haliorus of horse crap or whatnot. I can see you point. But don't get to attach from your own country. Sometimes they can do nice thing. But other time, they are looking themselves out.

One thing I'd like to add some nuance to is the "freedom to loot" that was brought up around 11:15. In the US at least, when looting does occur it's almost never portrayed as a freedom to do so. It's almost unanimously an act of either retaliation or desperation for disenfranchised American people who feel they are left with no other option. And it goes hand in hand with riots that happen for similar reasons.
We have a saying here that "riots are the voices of the unheard". This is especially true for black Americans who are routinely and violently ignored and subjugated by the ruling class in the US. When every nonviolent option is exhausted and ignored, the only option left is destructive action.
Even the rioting and looting that happened on January 6th, while done so for much more malicious reasons and was not at all justified, still has its root cause in an oppressive government that ignores the will of its people in order to further enrich the privileged few. (For Jan. 6th the perpetrators weren't the ones being killed in the streets, they were deranged white supremacists who felt they'd been wronged.)
I really hope this adds some much needed context to the topic, and shows just how little freedoms those in the US have (if they're not the ruling capitalist class) and the desperation that causes compared to countries like China.

If China is turned into a dozen or so small countries, China will no longer be able to threaten the United States.

Because those people just want to break the peace. Just like in the Middle East. Support those terrorists. Most people actually prefer peace, but profit will drive many to become mercenary. They are actually the same as those Dalai speakers. Treating people like pigs or sheep to create value for them. There is also a possibility that things come together, I am curious about free speech why no one Falun Gong? It seems to have disappeared.

I have never been to the United States, so I do not know and am not qualified to evaluate the freedom of the United States. The price of freedom in China is not to do illegal things, and not to publicly promote and spread divisive rhetoric and ideas on the Internet.(No one cares if people do this in private. My friends and I often talk about or insult the government and the Communist Party when we meet in restaurants, and the police will not rush into my house to arrest me).If you don't do the above two things, you can do whatever you want at any time and place.Any foreigner who has lived in China for a long time understands what I am talking about.Chinese people never worry about offending anyone because of their race, color, religious beliefs, and sexual orientation.I won't worry about being robbed or shot when I go out to buy a pack of cigarettes at night.I won't worry about a lunatic with a gun rushing into my child's school.(But I envy American citizens the right to own guns because I like guns very much)😂

Anyways, I love how you always stress the idea of world peace, because ultimately - that is my dream too! But it’s is sad to see so much conflict between humans whether it is war or politics etc.. It’s hard to stay positive when I people see purposely spreading misinformation or just people being haters without trying to research and educate themselves. World peace may be close to impossible but it’s definitely my dream one day, progress can be possible when we appreciate each others culture and understand at the end of the day.. we are all human🌎❤️

As a Chinese, I don’t want to compare which country is freer or better with the United States. We just strive to become better than ourselves.
Many people who indulge in language attacks and laugh at us say that China is a dictatorship. They flaunt freedom by saying that they can freely criticize their government. What I want to ask is what happens next? Has your situation improved? Has your government really improved after listening to your criticism? Or do you just need a channel to vent your dissatisfaction and don't care about the results?
In China, we have our own channels to contact the government. The mayor’s hotline is a good example. It can effectively and quickly solve various problems in your life. As for higher-level problems, the government will solve them. Because the government has gained our trust. We don't think we can handle it better than the government.

We don't want a drug epidemic, we don't want gun violence, and we don't want labeled groups that cause social division and discrimination. One more thing: we'd better not put too much emphasis on the concept of freedom and forget the purpose of the struggle for freedom.

The difference is the culture. Americans treasure individual freedom, whilst others treasure collective freedom. It is a me me me culture in America whilst others seek the common good. Remember you can't protect yourself when you only want to protect yourself, it takes everyone who wants to protect everyone else to have safety. To give you an analogy, if I think that everyone is not littering, I should litter to create jobs for the cleaners, then if everyone else think like me, there won't be enough cleaners to clean the streets.

Thank you for the amazing video! To me, it's simply about differences. Both countries are far from perfect, and the world isn't black and white. From the perspective of personal freedom and power distribution, the United States and China hold different views on wealth and authority. In the United States, individual wealth often symbolizes personal freedom, while in China, wealth brings additional responsibilities and regulations. This contrast reflects differing ideologies and practices in social governance, individual rights, and governmental oversight between the two nations.Having lived in both the United States and China for considerable periods, I've firsthand observed the contrasting attitudes towards wealth and its implications. In the United States, affluent individuals enjoy the liberty to pursue their desires without restraint. With increasing wealth comes the realization of the ability to explore desires beyond the confines of ordinary life. However, this disparity in personal freedom can be seen as a form of inequality in human rights, as there are fewer constraints.Conversely, in China, wealth entails a heightened level of caution and responsibility. As one ascends to a certain level of affluence capable of influencing significant matters, they also bear greater accountability. The Chinese government scrutinizes whether individuals are willing to shoulder this responsibility. Furthermore, if exceptionally wealthy individuals in China exceed the boundaries of ordinary rights or societal norms, they face more severe repercussions. This discrepancy prompts many affluent Chinese to choose immigration to the United States, where they perceive fewer constraints on their actions.

Are you suggesting that I am a liar? The truth is, I was born and raised in China, pursued my undergraduate and graduate studies in the United States, and spent some time working there before returning to China to embark on my entrepreneurial journey. Before responding, please take a moment to read carefully; I did not assert that China is flawless, but rather, I was conveying my personal perspective. In the United States, the privileged class typically comprises the affluent, who undeniably hold significant sway, resulting in numerous injustices. In China, the privileged class is often associated with the Communist Party, which also grapples with issues of corruption and inequity; for instance, the progeny of influential figures often enjoy preferential access to resources. I firmly believe that there is no utopia nor inferno on this earth. The majority of individuals worldwide belong to the non-privileged class, endeavoring to lead meaningful lives, yearning for security, love, and liberty. Before responding, I encourage you to reflect, or at the very least, read my message in its entirety.

Life is very difficult for ordinary people in China. Many people work non-stop throughout the year and can barely maintain food and clothing for their families. But it is extremely difficult to have a quality life, so many people want to immigrate to the United States.

And thats a problem - they think that life is easier on the other side. Its not. Hell, in majority of cases immigration leads to actually lowering standards, as you end up doing job that is below your skill level. And if you had low level job in your county, dont expect to suddenly get better job abroad. You may end up doing better finacially after some time, but you would be doing worse socialy. So unless you migrate from some really bad country, you arent going end up in better place. And China isnt that far when it comes to living standards anymore - unless you live in some rural village. And if you live there, then you know why you doing bad and its not because of country, rural live is equally bad in majority of places, there is a reason why everybody around the world goes to cities.

I don't intend to translate it into English, because the RUclipsr marked the subtitles in Chinese and English, and even talked about the so-called "freedom" of the CCP. So I will use the freedom I enjoy to express my opinions. you want to know more? you can be translated by yourself!
