Bro, please check the official ktm India site they have a seat lowering kit which has a smaller suspension for back and a small stand. Please check if you can make video on that it'll be very helpfull for everyone
Solution for THUD! noise *Start and leave it idle *press and release clutch multiple times(9/10 times) Thats it! (And ,always make sure your chain and clutch are properly set)
Relax! I have owned two tiger 800s and it also makes noise on engaging first gear. 1. Engaging 1st gear will make a noise as the bike gets older/clutch cable becomes slightly loose. The gear will make a noise on more powerful bikes. 2. The brake caliper will make noise if there is slight rusting on the rotor or when the pad is new or if there is accumulation of dirt in it. 3. The windshield making noise is a valid issue on ur bike but i guess that has been taken care of by putting some tight packing between its nuts. 4. Enjoy your adv bike. It will make noise 😊💪🏻
None of the problems mentioned are really a deal-breaker. It's a beauty of a machine and real VFM at the price point offered.. many features are only found on liter class superbikes. The thud when shifting into 1st gear is normal with single cylinder higher capacity bikes. I am a Dominar owner and have done over 35,000 kms in last 2 years, earlier owned RE Thunderbird 350 for 3 years with 40,000 kms done and have experienced the thud when slotting into 1st gear on both bikes. Just enjoy the bike and wish you safe riding.
I have ridden 2nd generation Duke 390 for 17000kms in rigourous mountain conditions, and I still own it. I recently added the 390 Adventure to my garage. The metal sintered pads will make noise in the beginning of their life span, and towards the end of their life span, it's normal and doesn't effect it's purpose. Infact they have a stronger bite when compared to organic pads. One can get the self cleaning petal discs if you don't fancy that sound. It may solve the noise issue. Secondly, the chain needs adjustment and lubrication every 500kms, since it's a big single and generates a lot of power, please get used to it, else you all will be complaining for rest of your life with the KTM. Clutch lever and chain adjustment should solve the gear clunk sound issue, my 390 Adventure gears are super smooth, infact way smoother than my Duke 390. But no complaints, since they are super slick and precise, no false neutrals here ever.. Rest cutting and shaving off the seat is a freaking funny solution from the KTM adviser, I am amused to hear that.. Go ahead and buy the machine, it's absolutely fantastic and has got the rally DNA imbedded all over it. Remember, if your balls are not hot and your are a slouch, then KTM is not for you. It's a weapon on any terrain, you need to ride like a freak hooligan to enjoy what KTM offers.... I love my KTMs
@@pritam2904 there is a suspension lowering kit in power parts catalogue. Wait for sometime, KTM should definitely sell those power parts in near future. You can check it out on power parts online catalogue for the Adventure 390.
@@prathamsannake4343 that's very much normal, just make sure you don't rev the throttle before engaging the first gear. Secondly, check the chain tension, it needs to be at the right spot . 🙂
Brake noise from sintered pads is perfectly normal and yes with water it would make more noise , solution is to let the pads settle in for a while. the normal wear would make it quite. Another solution is to be regular with disc clean up wipe the disc/ rotor with moist cloth on regular basis , it helps. No need to sand down fresh brake pads. First gear thud is there in all ktm 390s and Dominar and other high torque Motorcycle do have this thud. U can reduce it by keeping a check on gear lever play and clutch play adjustment and chain slack adjustments, these three things would definitely make for smooth gear shifts.
Not sure about sintered brake pads, I own RE TBTS 2016 model and am sure RE will not give sintered pads. Even after close to 4 years I have had similar brake sound issue and even after getting it checked by different service guys including 3 different RE service centres. Todays itself I have changed my brake pads to EBC sintered pads lets hope how it will work out for me.

Even after close to 4 years I have had similar brake sound issue and even after getting it checked by different service guys including 3 different RE service centres. @@amitinchal77 I have full copper sintered brembo pads in my Interceptor. Tb has organic pads leather ones , did they scrub clean the disc and also the pistons of the caliper. Sintered are noiser and more effective keep you rotor/ disc clean regularly.

Still these problems will be resolved very easily by ktm in coming months... in case of Dominar 2019..some models are still facing huge problems..one of them being Camshaft Replacement under warranty.
Break pads petrol se clean kro... Thodi der pads ko petrol me dip karke rakhna Phir clean krke waapis lagaa dena... Shud solve ur problem And about the sound in first gear, it's common... Dont scratch ur head for something which is not an issue..

Even RC 390 mein bhi 1st gear lagate waqt loud sound ata tha, its actually normal for ktm bikes and it was one of those things which helped me as a beginner because from the sound alone I knew shifts were happening.
For solving the gear sound problem 1 st way is to turn on the ignition then press clutch and use self start button and shift gear to 1 st at the same time

I am facing the same problem on my new gixxer 250 naked. While shifting from neutral to first gear there is a huge sound and lots of accidental neutral when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear.
The problem with you front brake , my rs200 had it too in the rear brake but the noise stopped coming after some time. When the brake pads are wear enough the sound automatically stops.

I had this little problem, and then i removed visor myself, this sound comes because of fitting issues and gaps. After removing, all the mount bolts are mixed with rubber washers and then tightened. Problem solved. Visor fixed properly and no space for any sound to develop.

These are not problems buddy, have patience amd understand the mechanics of all bike parts. Dont complain for these small things. Parts will work and they will make sound. Use ear plugs and good quality helmet, you will be fine.

I took a test ride today. I like the 390 adventure but concerned about the hard rear suspension. The salesman was saying that the suspension gets softer with use, but is that merely sales talk?
Hmmmm... Few people are calling these things a big problem and spreading negativity about this bike, so motive of making this video is to tell everyone that these are not at all big problems, these problems can be resolved very easily in a service center itself ! I hope now you got my point :)

This bike is on high demand , not able to find any bike for test ride in NOIDA ( sec 63 even in sec 18 ) , although I have seen and tried sitting on it Looks sturdy , engine sound is much better than previous KTM bikes. Great review bro , I also noticed minor issue with visor vibration.
Brother, 2nd point-breaking sound issue...mere pas DUKE 390 h..it’s almost 1 & half year old but yeh issue abhi bhi face karta hu main...several time I have visited the workshop but koi bhi solution nahi huya...even they don’t have a proper explanation for this problem. Then Gear Sound 😂😂 I think yeh breaking or gear sound KTM ka signature wala problem h 🤭
I own duke 250 dark galvano and I will say every problem is solvable...the main problem with my bike is ground clearance but it can be manageable..gear shift is short..ktm is not for lazy rider surely I will say..it makes you ride fast even if u don't want..and yes the gear sound 😭 it sucks
The visor noise could have something to do with the height adjustment mechanism I am not sure it's just my guess. Brake noise is because its sintered pads. These pads r very hard they do make scraping sound when u brake. If u find it annoying u can always go for the normal pads used in Duke 250. Chain noise occurs when the chain gets dry, the noise is from the roller in the chain just clean and lube it. It reoccurs after 200 kms or so. Gear shift sound is an issue I have a 2019 390 Duke never had any gear shift sound issues.

They say RTO approval is pending and some senior official who has to approve is on leave 😆. How can an organisation's work stop if some official is on leave. Bangalore RTO is the most corrupt RTO in india.
Bike brakes screech,I had the same issue with my Duke 390 when I had purchased in Oct 2015 just rubbing will solve it in the beginning it will come back but as time goes by it will go way it's common. I replaced it with new brake pads after long time I did not face issue with new pads. So dont worry

Even RC390 has same breaking sound issue my bike is 5 months old and it makes sound while breaking and ktm service guys say that brakes are new thats the reason !!!
I too have a 390 ADV and both the first 2 points of Flyscreen and front disc making noise is true but they definitely are not a deal breaker. Maybe all of us are expecting wayyyy tooooo much from the 390 ADV.

One should try bikes like Harley Fat Bob...the thud sound on them while shifting to 1st gear is as loud as hitting a metal sheet with a hammer.
He forgot about the feature of quick shifter and so is unaware of the noise while shifting down...
To prevent the thud sound during first gear shift, get used to starting the bike in first gear with theclutch pressed position

2 problem is nothing to worry ,
Sand Ur disk too and clean with isopropyl alcohol .
And do not touch break surface on disk.
Second method is while shifting to 1 st push your bike to front with leg in that time of motion shift to 1 st you will not hear any sounds

For the seat height the solution is you just replace the rear suspension with the Duke 390's rear suspension.

Bhaii what about the heating issue does it still heats up like Duke 390?? In heavy traffic conditions??

Yes it still persists. The fan is continously on in traffic which is very very irritating
I had this little problem, and then i removed visor myself, this sound comes because of fitting issues and gaps. After removing, all the mount bolts are mixed with rubber washers and then tightened. Problem solved. Visor fixed properly and no space for any sound to develop.

here are some relief points ;
Point 2 -> point3-> Point 4->point 5 is not a issue, it is A KTM
Point2-> with sintered pads the air breaking between brake rotor is audible.. on a single disc to dual disk setup (with fully floating rotors is will be even more) here is a sample link: ruclips.net/video/jJPCy2AsULo/видео.html
Point3-> Chain making noise on Duke/RC just 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘧𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘨 𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘬 and 𝐧𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 also when chain slack is at 1" (25mm) the noise is more audible.
Point 4-> 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐆𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐋𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 that is there on New motorcycles but even more, on KTM I believe it would 【reduce】 overtime.

These are not problems buddy, have patience amd understand the mechanics of all bike parts. Dont complain for these small things. Parts will work and they will make sound. Use ear plugs and good quality helmet, you will be fine.

I took a test ride today. I like the 390 adventure but concerned about the hard rear suspension. The salesman was saying that the suspension gets softer with use, but is that merely sales talk?

There is only one valid point but that is 1st gear shifting but its not that much, everything eles is not problem bro, you have got a great bike, just enjoy it.
If we compare KTM 390 Adv & Kawasaki Versys X 300, ignoring the price which one is better and why or in other words what are pros & cons of each bike.

Even if you use HH rated EBC brake pads, the sound comes. Dont worry about it.
This bike is on high demand , not able to find any bike for test ride in NOIDA ( sec 63 even in sec 18 ) , although I have seen and tried sitting on it

Brother, 2nd point-breaking sound issue...mere pas DUKE 390 h..it’s almost 1 & half year old but yeh issue abhi bhi face karta hu main...several time I have visited the workshop but koi bhi solution nahi huya...even they don’t have a proper explanation for this problem. Then Gear Sound 😂😂 I think yeh breaking or gear sound KTM ka signature wala problem h 🤭

I own duke 250 dark galvano and I will say every problem is solvable...the main problem with my bike is ground clearance but it can be manageable..gear shift is short..ktm is not for lazy rider surely I will say..it makes you ride fast even if u don't want..and yes the gear sound 😭 it sucks

I have no idea about RE bikes..
The visor noise could have something to do with the height adjustment mechanism I am not sure it's just my guess.
Brake noise is because its sintered pads. These pads r very hard they do make scraping sound when u brake. If u find it annoying u can always go for the normal pads used in Duke 250.
Chain noise occurs when the chain gets dry, the noise is from the roller in the chain just clean and lube it. It reoccurs after 200 kms or so.
Gear shift sound is an issue I have a 2019 390 Duke never had any gear shift sound issues.
KTM sells a seat height reduction kit which brings down the seat height by 25 mm. Combined this with a new thinner seat and the problem can be solved.

They say RTO approval is pending and some senior official who has to approve is on leave 😆. How can an organisation's work stop if some official is on leave. Bangalore RTO is the most corrupt RTO in india.

Bike brakes screech,I had the same issue with my Duke 390 when I had purchased in Oct 2015 just rubbing will solve it in the beginning it will come back but as time goes by it will go way it's common. I replaced it with new brake pads after long time I did not face issue with new pads. So dont worry

I have duke, planned for 390 adv , i went for a test ride but because of this massive seat height of 855mm I didn’t purchased it , waiting for a fruitful solution... otherwise have to choose another option 🥺🥺🥺

Higher cc bikes makes click sound when you put in 1st gear..it's very common n nothing to worry about.
Gear problem is not a issue it makes noise on Duke 250 as well.

Even RC390 has same breaking sound issue my bike is 5 months old and it makes sound while breaking and ktm service guys say that brakes are new thats the reason !!!
I too have a 390 ADV and both the first 2 points of Flyscreen and front disc making noise is true but they definitely are not a deal breaker. Maybe all of us are expecting wayyyy tooooo much from the 390 ADV.

These are not problems , and keep rev not too high while hitting 1st gear to avoid the sound
