Thank you Landon for sharing this video. As I watched the people of my hometown in this video, it brought all the good memories of my childhood experience. I remembered sneaking around outside where they rehearse but never have a chance to watch and now I have watched the complete version of this historical story and proud to be part of this amazing and unique culture.
Here is the Lyrics to the first song. I feel these songs are treasures so i tried my best to listen and write them down to share with everyone who wants to learn. 1st Verse: madau et me oangimah, wahret mwoawihdier, solahr pohn poangot en lehlap. Mehlel ngoaiet me likamw, oh kaiahne kinioa koamwi. nan madau apwal et. CHO: Sohlahr mehn poakehda wereiet, sohlahr mehn idanda wereiet. Madau et nohn apwal. 2nd Verse: Mehd apwal nan madau et, ahdo kin lel lelioa, solahr kak limelimak wahret. ai koapwoaroapwoar kowe apw ahmw lamalam me doh. sohlahr kak kilangki wasa.
Yeah so took the original footage that my mother-in law (Rose Lawrence Helgenberger) had and did the best I could to restore it but unfortunately there were some places that weren’t really salvageable and that is one of them, along with a lot of the audio is just hard to hear because it started raining... but anyhow, super cool video
