I love the review. It is one of the better reviews. Atleast one of the most informative reviews. I bought this rifle; all be it a version 2; which they have addressed many of the faults that you point out. I have fired .28 and .30 using a box mag os 1500 rounds with no issues at all. No mis feeds; no jams. As for the shot Consistency; for me, its a BB not an actual bullet. I’m good with a shot group that hits the torso when I’m aiming at the torso.
This rifle is straight up VFC Avalon with some added upgrades. Out of the box its spot on...cant really go wrong with this rifle. Worth the cost. Or, u can just do upgrades to your excisting VFC Avalon and be in the same ballpark performance and $ wise.
I was generally unimpressed by this gun, however I recently got a Sig MCX which is a VFC under the hood like this and the build quality was significantly better than the Novritsch branded gun.
Sorry, didn't see this, yes. Within the Gate Software (you will need the USB Link), you can also start the upgrade process too. It will take you to the website to purchase the update.
tbh, I've not looked at the Avalon Samurai Edge, so can't really comment too much, it does look very similar to the SSR-15 externally however. I'm not ashamed to say, I am a bit of TM Recoil fan for AEGs, they are such a solid platform, so I don't tend to run other AEG brands so much partly as I've been spoilt by the reliability of the TMs I have.
You should be able to take the base plate off by pressing the button on it and sliding, then from there if memory servers there are a couple screws and you can slide things open.
Feel sorry for you, seems you got a realy shitty rifle. Got one for myself and the only same concern are the wobbling magazins which you also have to push in. Also the brake in time of the hopup was a bag full of G&G 0.28! But now it works better than my Krytec Trident Mkll
The problem is Ive repeatedly had poor experiences with the Novritsch guns, there are always issues with them you don't get with other guns. I stress test and abuse these things to get see where they fail and these fail way more than I've had with other makes or guns..
@@AzrelSutcliffe See your point. Did have troubles with my SSP1 after one year too, which has been solved by his claims managment. But I have to admit your SSR15 have a lot of flaws, I and a friend didn't have. Nov clearly must improve QC in the factories, best install QC with his own personal.

Very nice review! I was thinking of purchasing this gun and nobody has done a valid review, so thank you I am definitely purchasing this gun.
Thank you for the review. This type of review helps when deciding on my next purchase. Thanks again.
Thanks..
Try heavier BBs, I play with 0.30 and they fly way better than 0.28. Also 0.32 are even better, but range drops.

Nice!! Been wondering about that VFC. Love the look. Was questioning battery space
@@briantopor4092 The battery location in it is in the hand rail, I am not a huge fan of that tbh, but it really is the only place for it.
Thank you for your honest opinion was going to buy one but not anymore going with a g&g instead
Is it ONLY the PTS mags that work with they gun or can normal STANAGS work?
Love you
8:54 150 BBs*. Im rather interested what you explained with "basic software" where would you be able to get the advanced?
Go to gates website and put your serial number into update it - gatee.eu/upgrade.php

Thank you for your review it's very informative I was about to order !! what do you think of vfc avalon samurai edge?

The samurai edge and the ssr15 are actually about the same, they both use the same gearbox, only difference is the price
@@olivierdesmet7160 and the ssr has a Gate Titan*
@@FAWX yeah, but just the basic version
Whats the best M4 you know or u can recomment and what are u playing?
I ordered from the second batch and there is no gap
Good to see the build quality has improved.. Hopefully some of the other issue are fixed...
@@AzrelSutcliffe I just ordered one today. Will do an inspection on it when I get it and report back!
@@MrCow579 are you based in the uk. If so have you had to pay import tax ?
How do u install like a suppressor or tracer
You need to take he flash hider off and it will screw on. tbh, sticking something on the end of it makes it too long to be manageable
How do I open the mag

has anyone said you sound a lot like jackfrags
Nope.. They haven't..
Azrel Sutcliffe ah just a thought, great video though probably gonna stay away from the ssr15
Now I cant unhear it.
Sorry about all of the problems, maybe I could talk it off of your hands... lol
Haha... I've been cannibalising the good bits off it for other guns...
@@AzrelSutcliffe Lol Just joshin... thx for the review
