Amazing video! J.P. Hogg (who goes by “Jethro”) was also produced by Sally Corporation. Sally recorded new material for Daniel and the Dixie Diggers and Jethro so the two shows could connect and play together.
@@SetsStreetsEats Hello! I recently just purchased a Jethro P Hogg animatronic from a grocery store in Rhode Island! I will be renting mine out for special events and fairs! So there are at least three public working Jethros out there!
I was fortunate enough to experience Daniel & the Dixie Diggers down here in the Carolinas as a kid. The place I got to see them at closed last year, and removed the show years before the place closed down, turned it into a sports room for the adults.
It's an all too common tale these days, That's why I'm trying to travel around and document every one I can find cuz soon they're all going to be gone!
I was the hostess girl who hooked ya up on the OG huckleberry token i was working gift shop. A year later i find this video with a familiar face and im like i gave that guy a token lol but thanks for the shout out i feel honored. I also wanted to let ya know when ur in the area to come stop back threw we just got a remodel and a few new games this year
Thanks so much for watching! And yeah I look at a lot of animatronics and those definitely had a few problems but they're still moving better than a lot of the Chuck e Cheese animatronics that are still out there.
Great Video Chris - Now a day's the majority of kids are entertained with their phones! I'll bet when your Mom & Dad took you there when you were a youngen you would be good and tuckered out from running up and down those stairs playing pinball!
Well as my mom likes to say nothing ever wore me out and she's probably right cuz I have low energy as an adult so I think I used it all up back then lol
I have to take my son today!!! I’m so excited He was so bummed when chukiee cheese animatronics 😢 thank you for showing us this place !! We are about 40 minutes away, but we are going to!!
That is really really cool there I'm so glad that place still has them I want to drive up there and see them that will be a long long drive for me but it's worth it to me and I wished I would have known about these guys sooner because they are really cool band that place looks pretty awsome too I just don't get it why anyone would ever want to get rid of good Americana like this thank dog these guys are hopefully going to keep staying here🐾🎹🎺🪕🎶🐶😎
great video SS&E! Huckleberry Junction is the last place to see the trio publicly besides Celebration Station (Mesquite TX, and Clearwater FL has the show on static display on the ledge above the arcade.) Roller Kingdom in Reno NV also has the show that they got from a small FEC called "Kidz Zone" and actually has the show for sale.
Chris Bower 1. If you visit California again, you should explore two McDonald's historic sites. One is the oldest operating McDonald's in Downey. The other is the original McDonald's museum in San Bernardino. 2. Have you visited the Volo Museum yet? 3. You should explore Walt Disney's birthplace in Chicago.
Hi Steve, 1. I have not been to the Downey location but I have been to the San Bernardino McDonald's Museum but it was before I was doing my vlog so I just have still pictures from the experience. 2. I still have not visited volo yet. My last two attempts have fallen through but I am certain I will get there in the near future. 3. I've seen videos of the house in Chicago and I am definitely still planning on going, hopefully by fall. 😁
Huckleberry Junction had so many more video games than Showbiz in Flint had! I remember that whole second level was completely covered in arcade cabinets as was the lower level. Showbiz had a better band, but there were so many more games at HJ during the 80s.
Daniel and the Dixie Diggers used to be at a location called Pinocchio’s Pizza in Bountiful, Utah. It’s long gone, and there is hardly any information on it.
This might be far for you but the Chuck E Cheese in Staten Island NY has a one of a kind stage that no other location ever got with a special 4 color star light box behind Chuck e and had a MMBB postcard behind Pasqually and Jasper
If you visit the celebration station in mesquite tx and clearwater fl the daniel and the dixie diggers will be there but just static on display, but in mesquite there daniel is missing, and yes celebration station had the same type of stage jethro p hog with daniel and the dixie diggers but eventually they stopped using them and some where stored and was where on displayed or removed, the one in greensboro had on but they got removed in a remodel, also roller kingdom in nv has a daniel and the dixie diggers trio set but they’re also static and for display and decoration, and they have different outfits, and also celebration station had custom show tapes for the dixie diggers
The feeling of nostalgia is one of the most amazing things we can experience. It is like remembering a dream you had a week ago.
Good morning after work tomorrow got a few things done ✅✅✅✅✅✅ pm 8h

Thank you for that info I couldn't find any information in the quick search I did so that was very helpful!

Yeah I wonder what happened to the ones at what was then called Celebration Station.

This is really good. Outstanding work, from start to finish. Yeah, it really has a 80's look to it. Daniel is moving a bit slow but looks really good.
Thanks so much for watching! And yeah I look at a lot of animatronics and those definitely had a few problems but they're still moving better than a lot of the Chuck e Cheese animatronics that are still out there.
They need more air pressure
This will be exciting
I knew that sign looked familiar 😁

Is it me or the place looks like a fusion between pizza time theater and phase 4. Also great video 👍

Great video! Keep up the great work!
Thanks, I'll try!
I remember when i was so small I've been there, Good childhood memories, I thought the dog with the piano was Disney's Goofy

I really like your shirt!!
I miss going here

I'll add it to my list!
Did you ever go to Aladdin's Castle in Flint? (Burton)
Another good one! You should think about doing Skateland or Rollhaven. Other Flint classics.
I definitely should. I hung out of both of those places on the reg back in the early '90s. Tuesday night was laser tag night at Rollhaven!
@@SetsStreetsEats YES!!! Laser tag!!! I swear, Rollhaven was fuller than some of the nightclubs I have gone to as an adult. And funner too.
@@illosophy it was always packed, so many fun times there.
I live in Michigan but I never went there might have to
Great video! Cool place too!!
Thanks Kev!
I really hope places like this will survive because soon they will be the only places with animatronics
WOW! That's so cool!

Thank you for all that information That is really interesting I'm definitely going to add those locations to my travel list and check them out!
@@SetsStreetsEats np i hope you have a fun visit there and also how long did u have to wait between shows till the next one starts?
