Ran across 3 Jack Cravelle cruising for dinner a few years ago down there sight fishing for reds. They swam right down the side of the boat ! One of them took the lure and what a fight that was.20 lb Jack in 1 1/2 foot of water was a blast!
Man you making this New Orleans boy homesick. Did my red fish trip in winter out of Empire fishing dammed off canals. We would catch over 200 reds a trip. Almost all that marsh is gone now.
