I tried this last night and it took all of my will not to try to climb into that saucepan and eat it from the inside. Tastes so good that I was tempted to dab some of it behind my ears. It's the first time I have ever thought chickpeas could love me back. I am hooked on them and your videos. Thank you for all that you both do!

I usually do a little boiled potato, carrot, onion, and sprinkle of turmeric boiled until soft. Then blend with a can of chickpeas, 1/2 cup of nutritional yeast, and some of the liquid from the chickpeas and/or boiled water. It makes an amazing cheezy sauce everytime. Especially good for scalloped potatoes.

My favorite part: follow the recipe exactly as we modified it before and it did not turn out well. Then, “It says Braggs liquid aminos, but we don’t have that so I am using tamari. It says wheat flour, but I prefer oat flour.” I love you guys!

This cheezie sauce is a game changer! I blended the chickpeas into the sauce rather than leaving them whole, added some Red Hot and some spices, and it made the most delightful nacho cheeze! Even my kids and non-plant based family liked it! It really does have a cheesy flavor and would be so yummy on a variety of foods like baked fries, crispy potatoes, rice, and plant based nachos! Super impressed with this recipe, thank you!!

Ladies, I need to tell you that my 9 year-old daughter is forcing me to comment in this video and let you know that SHE LOOOOOOVES this "cheese" sauce! Every time we make it, she is the official spoon licking master in the kitchen. I serve the chickpeas over veggies and pasta, and she devours it! Thank you for all the wonderful easy healthy recipes :* hugs from Prague.

I'm thinking there were 2 cans of beans on the counter, but only one was used.
    1 1/2 cups of chickpeas
    1t liquid aminos or tamari
    1T oat flour
    1/2 cup Nutritional yeast
Mix everything in pan on stove till thick, but remove from heat and add chickpeas last. Use immersion stick or a blender to blend till smooth.

kathy brinson I see you subscribe to the notion that shaming people is a good way to get what you want. I hope you enjoy the isolation of an Instagram perfect aesthetic. I prefer to connect with humans who give a rip about others and I like to eat food prepared with love, not brand new pans. Please grab some time to reflect on where this attitude got slimed on you. It is definitely not something I recommend. It is beneath you. Look UP.
