    Gorgeous. I was a lot boy in the mid 70's for a few dealerships and one dealer had a near twin to this, except a blue bench interior and hubcaps instead of 8 lugs. Even then I knew it was special...i drove it briefly...one of the still memorable cars for me from that time, still think about it!...and I got to drive a lot of cool cars back then.

    My Dad had a '68 Pontiac Laurentian hardtop...I believe that model was only made here in Canada. Anyway, it had very similar features and styling, including that beautiful grill, right down to those tail lights...although Dad's car was kinda a basic model, unlike this....

    What a gorgeous car! When I was a little kid 1972-1975, we owned a 4 door yellow 1970 Pontiac Bonneville. It was a luxury car with power windows, but the ugliest car we ever owned. 1970 was the worst year they ever had. Dad traded in a sky blue 1967 Ford Custom 500 for that in 1972.

    Looking at the 8 lug wheel in the trunk? I thought the painted part ( aqua ) of the wheel was fastened to the axle and the outer ring bolted to it If you can, please clarify this on one of your future videos Thanks.

    • @jjojo2004
      @jjojo2004 Год назад +1

      The aqua part looks like an extra 5th brake drum that is bolted to the 8 lug rim. They probably did this so it can be bolted down in the trunk like a regular steel wheel. 🤔

    • @garyslentzii2796
      @garyslentzii2796 Год назад +1

      The Blue part of the wheel is the brake drum. It just so happens that the owner put a matching drum on it.
      The stock spare come with a steel ring to attach to the outer lug holes to change the spare. The drum makes it as easy to change the tire as a regular steel wheel.

      Actually...in the Bewitched episodes when they visit Salem, MA, Darren (#2) drives a cream yellow colored 1970 Bonneville convertible. Fun fact: those episodes were the only location shoots of the whole series. Was done because there had been a fire on the set, and the kitchen set had to be rebuilt. That's when a back staircase appeared!

      @@VoloMuseumAutoSales Yes i noticed you're seriously reluctant to ever do a re-take. There was a gold Riviera with the hideaway headlights showing & Jay assured viewers that they were working fine. On another car he mistakenly said the numbers matched & there was a printed caption saying they did not. Both times I wondered why on earth they didn't just re-shoot the vid.

    Unfortunately 1967 signalled the end of the "Coke bottle" era Pontiacs and ushered in a new era of hideous snouts, faux burled wood interiors and loss of chrome interior accents. Compare this to a 66 Bonnie and it's not even a discussion. Vertical stacked headlights, fender flares and body accents second to none and then they released the 69 "endura" nose Bonnie followed by the ugliest Bonnie ever, the 1970 Bonnie.....It made a comeback in 1975 but by then, the US automotive industry had impaled itself and the writing was on the wall...
