Amazing array of demonstrations of true masculinity:body builders, actors, politicians, founding fathers, artists, musicians, scientists, astronauts, cosmonauts, leaders, rulers, inventors, entrepreneurs, public speakers, philosophers, authors, etc. Hopefully this will bring to light truly what the world should be.

For those who are interested, he was Vladimir Komarov, a soviet cosmonaut, and unfortunately He's known as "The Man who fell from space". There are books written about hist story and friendship with Yuri Gagarin.
He told to the men in the control tower he knows he will die after that mission, and this is what happened.

People forget what femininity and masculinity is and some even forget that they're not inherently bad.

    • @dflaming1371
      @dflaming1371 2 года назад +1086

In the SIMPLEST of terms masculinity is drive and femininity is nurturing.
A man with drive will accomplish anything, but if he cannot nurture it it will fall to pieces in moments
A woman who can nurture will keep anything alive, but without drive it shall never grow
      And vice versa
Bad drive leads to things toppling from the outside: wars, unresolved fights, families and businesses warring within and without, all "obstacles", the 'others' , ideals and people included, being recklessly and aggressively destroyed
Overbearing nurturing requires that no harmful, painful, or difficult thing be allowed, and will kill a system from within. Restrictions of speech and expression, demonization of the "other", and non physical attacks that hurt finances, reputation, facts ad credibility are it's weapons
Both require balance and wisdom.the trap people fall into is that Masculinity and femininity are concepts, labeled as such because a majority of men and a majority of women exhibit such traits. Statistically, about 10% of people are the "opposite" of theirs. And then everyone else sits somewhere slightly different on the sliding scale.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, idk how it really is and would love to know, but I think people push men to not cry, or show emotions etc. just because men should be "strong" which I find sexist (apparently called "Reversed Sexism")

@Sully This is a good statement. However let me explain as to why men are taught not to cry. Men are supposed to be the protectors and help others that have problems. And crying was usually thought as giving up and not dealing with your problems. How are you going to help others if you can't even help yourself with your problems. Men are supposed to put up against loss or grief so that they can move on and become better people. That is the reason, there you go. :)

I’ll try and keep it brief but:
It’s the charred body of Cosmonaut Vladimir Komarov. Him and Yuri Gagarin were assigned to an Earth Orbiting mission in a capsule that they knew was shoddily constructed and not safe to travel in.
Gagarin and some other senior technicians had inspected the thing and he wrote a report to a KGB friend stating all the structural issues with it. Trouble is no one dared to send it up to higher command out of fear of being reprimanded.
Komarov was told by the KGB mutual to refuse the mission to which he replied that they would send Yuri instead.
Sure enough when Komarov was in orbit the capsule began to have a number of issues. Upon re-entry the capsule failed to deploy the parachutes. U.S listening posts caught his transmissions as he plunged to his death.
From what I recall reading somewhere else he specifically requested to have an open-casket funeral before leaving to show high command that they had his blood on their hands.
NPR has an article on the event if you want to read up on it, and as well as that last transmission. Check wikipedia too for some other info.

I mean, it is a small part of a big issue. It’s intertwined with the idea that men can’t connect with emotions/behaviors that are considered femminine in order to uphold toxic masculinity. I think the reason why women bring it up a lot because a lot of women are feminists, and forcing the belief that men should reject femminine behaviors because they’re associated with women and therefor weakness, is sexist. This is why i consider myself a feminist, fighting to solve our problems is not only helping us women, but men too. (Sorry if this isn’t understandable, English isn’t my first language)

I was recently watching Dune and seeing Josh Brolin yell "WITH ME!" While leading a bunch of guys to fight an entire army was incredible. That is true masculinity.
I feel like I need to address this with some context. Basically in the film Josh Brolin and his men saw their entire air fleet and ships be completely destroyed. As they were unprepared the enemy came down on them. What makes that scene exude masculinity is the courage it takes to face a foe ten times your size. The men in the film were hardly given a moment to gather themselves and realize what was happening, and yet they still fought. They put their feelings inwards and drew weaponry to bring hope to others. Behind them was their home and they were willing to fight for it.

Hard disagree. You shouldnt feel anything on behalf of the men in this video when you have achieved nothing on this scale, no offense. Some of them weren't highly intelectual, or some of them weren't so well shaped. But you still included them - because they made one step forward into something. To make life something better. It is what being a man is all about. Not about money, shortcuts, women, anything - but going for all community into some direction. For being a leader. Respect brother.

My mom always cared more about my sister than me and that hurted like hell bc she was always abusive and be worse than my bulliea at school and even made me consider suicide but at the end of the day I thought that the best revenge was for me to get better than her at everything.
And that is what I did and still doing.
PD: Anger and challenges are my motivation for when I'm going through some bad times so please, don't make fun of me.

Even though this showed men who did gruesome and Evil things. _They were still true men._ They rose from nothing and became everything, and in the end. Made their mark in history, no matter if its Good or Evil for they will be remembered till the last humans for their deeds.

A lot of people just don’t seem to understand what equality is, huh?
Men are constantly being pressured with toxic masculinity, stereotypes, etc.
Women have been and still are suppressed and also face stereotypes, etc.
Both have made great achievements, they don’t have to “outshine” the other. We can think the Wright Brothers for the airplane, and Ada Lovelace for the computer algorithm. That was the point of this video, to show the achievements men have made and their impact on our world. It’s not an attempt to over show women, and it’s not trying to make it seem that men are better. Understand that.

This is why I love Zootopia haha. It’s not about an obsession with prejudice, comparing achievements of different groups, and comparing struggles (seeing as how both Judy and Nick have gone through pain for what they were born as) And in the end, it’s all about just spreading love and kindness in the world by, no matter what, trying to better understand each other and letting that unify us.

This makes me proud and enraged, the things our ancestors went thru to get us here and now look at us, spoiled, greedy, lazy, making excuses for our failures, we aren't done, we still have problems to fix, if we stay lazy than all they went thru was for nothing, hero's are meant to be cherished, not forgotten, they did what they did for this generation, so lets make em proud even a little bit
