SubhanAllah. One thing that stands out to me about the command to slaughter Ismael As, is the words he was inspired by Allah swt to say to his father "O my father! Do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah so wills, patient and constant ” (37:102) SubhanAllah. Allah knew He wasn't actually going to have Ibrahim As slaughter His son, but He knew how hard it would be for him, so in His mercy, He inspired Ismael As to give him some reassurance, so he, Ibrahim As wouldn't feel so guilty. SubhanAllah. Surely Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear (2:286)
