None of yall know nothin about the origin of rap and the whole battle aspect of it ,in the beginning battling was trading lines and who said the slickest shit as hiphop evolved and people had real issues with each other in the industry battling became away to express where you stand with a fellow rapper so all the most famous battles you know of was real rappers that did not like each other 106 and park freestyle friday was a exact mimic of real hiphop battling and that was hiphop not real beef gossip isnt apart of the original parts that came later

Even if he engaged fully in it, he wouldn't have brought family and some rumor shit into it, he doesn't strike me as that type of guy, neither did Kendrick to be fair, but I don't think Kendrick deep down wanted to do that, he stooped low to match Drake's energy in other to win, Cole would've probably needed to do the same. My feeling is, if you have to step outside of your integrity in order to win an internet beef, it's not worth it!
I feel that you're missing the point. Kendrick stooped this low because Drake went there (as you mentioned) and because he truly hates drake's persona and is trying to bring awareness to his actions. My view is that the pedo allegations and his morally corrupt crew are a topic that really bother Kendrick because it's the nr1 rapper being idolized and profiting while maintaining a dispicable behavior. With the evidence collected throughout the years and shown online, the grooming behavior is nearly irrefutable and people seem to be trying to sweep it under the rug again somehow, saying it was not necessary to go this way.
